I have a used 2005 Cadillac DeVille Livery. I had problems starting the vehicle after getting an oil change. The mechanic told me it was the starter. I refused to pay for a starter. The mechanic had another mechanic check the battery and other items under the car. In the mean time, a gentleman that drove into the parking lot started talking with the two mechanics and he looked up information on his phone about the Caddy. Low and behold, he told them to look under the back seat where there was an additional battery. The mechanic did something to cause car to crank right up saving me hundreds of dollars for a starter.

Hold the info up arrow and the off/on button and it will take you to the codes to reset

Just know if your 2000 cadillac deville dhs cranks but wont start its your fuel pump and fuel filter

Start the Cadillac in neutral then save some money to replace the park/neutral safety switch inside the transmission.

But make sure to check the ground wire by the fuse box under the hood kinda under the fuse box to the side could have a bad starter or bad ground
