i am being screened tomorrow but i have every symptom of both oral and ghsv so i’m pretty sure that i have it. i’ve felt exactly the same and i’ve been so upset and ashamed about the whole thing and for a moment i did consider taking my life but i’ve been researching and watching videos nonstop as well as joining facebook groups and looking for other forums or support groups. we will get through this but it’s tough i know ❤️

2nd cold sore I've had in about exactly 2 years. Luckily it's just a cluster on my lip. Haven't had any symptoms of genital. I also realized that I was eating a lot of spicy food leading up to my current outbreak.

Hi there - I found out a little less than a month ago I had it; first outbreak was awful so consider yourself lucky. Remember this: 1) 1 in 6 people have it, most are asymptomatic and show no symptoms. 2) it is NOT life threatening and you can and will live a normal life 3) If you want to prevent/lessen frequency of an OB (as a substitute or in addition to meds), take Lysine and Monolaurin >> both can help boost your immune system and attack the virus, which reduces your chances of shedding/spreading it and keeps the virus dormant 4) GET PLENTY OF REST, DONT STRESS 5) Most of the embarrassment around HSV is just stigma; it does not define you. 6) Stay away from foods high in arginine >> the virus needs this to multiply. Foods high in arginine include nuts, sugar, and generally anything processed. You’ll be fine and over time, you’ll feel normal again. ❤❤❤

Take Lysine supplements and you’ll almost NEVER have another outbreak. Take 2-4 pills a day…. It will keep the HSV 2 away. Get sleep, don’t eat junk food, and reduce stress.

I’m glad you’re positive about this but I still am not. I’m fighting to get into clinical trials and other human testing facilities where potential cures maybe on the rise. I refuse to accept I have this forever! I’m angry, upset, emotionally draining and heartbroken! This disease has invaded and made my life a living hell! I’m going to find the cure to this disgusting illness then I’m coming back to share it with all of you so that you are no longer bound by this dreadful disease! Mark my words! I’m getting us out of this nightmare!

Jovanna Cota I found out I had it a couple of weeks ago. Still don’t know who gave it to me or how long I’ve had it. I was diagnosed with hsv1 it doesn’t even feel like I have it tbh😩. I really refuse to believe I have it but, the dr said I was positive I still want it to go away. Living with sum just don’t sit right with me.

Hi my doctor told me I had it too but I never had any scores on my lips or down their ? , I do notice razor burns and in grown hairs sometimes on the public area . I think it due to shaving . brianna horen herpes can come in the form of razor bumps, ingrowns, sores or blisters and there are also people that are asymptomatic which means the virus is in your body (you have it) but you don't get the signs. Hope this helped

I'm commenting because I got it at 18 and I am still a virgin. A family friend of whom I had no knowledge they had herpes, gave me a vape that they didn't like, which ended up containing the herpes virus on the mouth piece. I was really frustrating for me because one of my biggest fears was to catch an STD/STI that I had to live with for the rest of my life. And the fact that I am still a virgin and got it really distressed me. I felt embarrassed, ashamed, dirty, and like any hope of getting into a relationship was gone. Know that you can get it regardless of if you have sex of any kind, but also know that you are not alone, there's nothing to be embarrassed about, and that you will get through this.

@@ye11atip its quite shocking at first. Its emotional because youre scared and you feel guilty. I recommend, checking what you eat so your skin doesnt have bad reactions and therefore no cold sores. And also adapt some sort of exercise routine throughout the week. Stay active! I took some supplements when i first found out i had both facial and genital herpes, but i wanted to see what would happen without them, so i stopped, and nothing changed. My body was fine. But everyones body has a different reaction to different choices.

Take L- lysine. Don't eat dairy products like milk & ice cream while you are taking it, it reduces the effectiveness. I get the brand Solaray in pill form with Vit C & rose hips, the new one has zinc & Vit B6 in it too. 1000mg bottle from Vitamin Shoppe. Take with a full stomach. Or you'll have an upset stomach. Or I use brand: SUNDOWN NATURALS L-lysine 500 mg bottle. Start off taking 1000 mg which is 3 pills from Solaray & 2 from Sundown Naturals. Both seem equally effective to me. As your body gets accustomed to taking L-lysine, you can take mega doses like 3000 -6000mg every 2 -3 hours during an outbreak or if u feel that tingling that lets you know you are abt to have an outbreak. Also, chocolate has l-arginine in it (which can cause herpes outbreaks) so don't eat chocolate or just eat a little bit & be sure to take L- lysine if u do for at least 5 -7 days. The other thing to take is Olive Leaf Extract. This stops shedding so u add less likely to spread the virus. I take pill form (Nature's Way) normally white & purple bottle. Try to get one that has more Olipurein in it. Or liquid: Barlean's brand. Don't drink coffee, it allows l-arginine to be absorbed more easily which can cause outbreaks. Be uplifted. Look for herpes cures. I believe it can be healed & cured one day.

You want complete relief from herpes. Try this treatment take two Zantac tablets place them up the nasal passages and hold them there for 15 minutes then blow them out. Do this for 3 days in a row once each day if that is to hard put the Zantac tablets over the bridge of the nose and hold them there pinched in place for 20 minutes each day for 3 days.

I juts got diagnosed results today positive ; ( .. i am 23 years old and I feel like I’m never going to b the same anymore. Can’t wait for the future hopefully a cure would b out there

Please keep in mind that most people (but not all) have mild symptoms. That is not the case for everyone. My first outbreak lasted over a month and I was hospitalized twice with complications and couldn't walk (therefore work) for a week. Downplaying it (not saying you do this, but many people do) can be dangerous.

Yes! My bf and the one friend I talked to about it have been supportive and sit and listen to me talk about it and are super amazing when it comes to my pain from the sores, they’re constantly asking if I’m comfortable if they can get me anything to help, understanding that I want to change underwear, keeping me company on the phone while I soak in a bath, making sure I have my medications with me when we go somewhere and just all around supporting me, whereas my parents (who I currently live with) ask how I slept, don’t question me walking like a grandma, and don’t talk about it unless I bring it up first, my mom understands many people live with it even going as far as telling me how many people we know that have it and never once did I ever know before, and just sitting with me and just being amazing company so I don’t let it emotionally take a toll, people’s support right now is what’s getting me through the diagnosis and eventually become a support for my concerns in the future with having kids and knowing who will always be in my corner for when I need help or just someone to talk to and not make me feel anymore ashamed about it then I make myself

Wow you are so strong & brave to tell the world this. I just found out I have hsv2. I never showed any symptoms, I’ve never had outbreaks of sores. I’ve only gotten one or 2 single bumps at a time maybe once a year & thought they were ingrown hairs or cysts. Looking at me you would never be able to tell I have it, I look completely healthy & have no health problems. It is made to seem like such a big deal, but it’s such a small thing I didn’t even notice a difference with myself.

I know its cliché but i just found out i have hsv-1 a few weeks ago and it really did get to me all at once, tried my best to not judge myself so harshly but i felt so disgusting and that's not a shot at hsv itself it was more of a mental breakdown and i couldn't get over the thought that no one would want me. but after watching you and a few others explain to me what i have and how i can move forward with it makes me truly so much more grateful for my loved ones, and that im not special just because I have hsv. the cliche part being that you genuinely made me more confident. :) thank you

I just founded out that i have hsv2. And it's been very crazy im still unsure in disbelief and this video has made me feel a lot better honestly! Because there is no one i can really talk to! But im doing alot better and staying strong. It's been very complicated though and not easy! Im just not over my sex life being so different because I just think that no one will want a woman that has herpes anymore. And that maybe I think it's best just to stay celibate for the rest of my life! Because who would want me! I still feel down! But I am also trying to stay positive because my life isn't over! Your life, is yours to live. We always teach people how to treat us. Yes finding out you have herpes is devastating but always remember we are always our own worst enemy at times. We do need time to heal emotionally and it's okay to just take that time for urself to be okay with it. Remember you are still that same amazing and incredible woman you were before you got infected, that will never change. With ur new found appreciation for life, use it to engage lie like you've never done before. Love more, laugh more, treat urself more. Most importantly, live and walk into each day with purpose.

TELL YOUR GYN. Don’t have a natural birth, your baby will be hurt by it. You will need a Cesarean. If u are broken out at time of birth and your baby comes, u can blind it. Don’t touch your face after scratching your herpes itch . I’ve had it for 40 years. It’s HORRIBLE. I never had kids

Thank you so much for this video. I like the way you said it was a skin condition. I'm still struggling with my recent diagnosis and going thru the self inflicted anticipated shame, judgment, rejection. I am personally devastated and I still need to accept it and move on.

Today, I went into my examination and the doctor told me there was a strong chance I had herpes. I don't know what kind yet, but I'm on the mend. It's my first outbreak. I was incredibly emotional even though I've read up on the condition long beforehand and know of some people who have gone through the same thing. My partner was with me the entire time. I think I was more emotional, because I had likely shared it with them as well. But anyway... Thank you for this video.

I'm 49 years old and I just found out when I was 46 because of blood test. Never had any outbreak. BTW... When the doctor told me I felt dirty. 😌

Funki it was basically rape. I had a abusive ex he was 3 years older than me so he had a lot of power over me at the time but i have since gotten out of that relationship 😊. I have since learned that it was a misdiagnosis so I don't actually have "herpes". but I can still feel others emotional pain about it because I used to think I had it

I am so happy to tell everyone that Madidaherbalcenter has the real Herpes virus cure because I am a living testimony of it that used it and I am Herpes virus negative now.

Thank you for this video. I am in disbelief after being diagnosed yesterday following a swab of three very small pimple like marks. So, one thing I am having to deal with is accepting I have this thing (hsv-2 in my case). I mean, I may have had it years and not known as the only certain way to tell is a swab during an outbreak, and even then I didn't really think it was hsv just maybe some irritation. I will be kind to myself and live my life, it's just something I need to adjust to. I am a male and I notice many of the comments are from women, but I can assure you I feel exactly the same as I am seeing from many of you. In a sense I wish I was ignorant to it, but I guess it's better to know to help me be responsible to others so they can make informed decisions should we get intimate - so I am giving myself a pat on the back for getting it checked and diagnosed as many will not (around 87% with it do not know they have it). I am reassuring myself that it's just a mild skin condition for most people, and someone may only have one outbreak or very few in their life. Stay safe and enjoy life :)

He spiraled out of control drinking and using drugs for months after and he sadly took his own life 😥 I wish I could of found the words and message you beautifully displayed in your video. I’m 18. Just graduated high school. Going to college in less than a month. I just found out that I have both oral and genital herpes. I got it from my boyfriend after being together for seven months. He didn’t know he had it. He’s the only person around me who would even remotely be able to understand what this actually feels like. The worst part is that I don’t have him anymore. He broke up with me because he doesn’t want to do long distance once I am in college and he is in his senior year of high school. I already struggled with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and self harm. This is the hardest thing I have ever gone through and now I’m expected to go move away and make friends but I just feel so alone. I’m afraid that once I move my mental health will get even worse and I will not be able to handle it. I’m struggling.

I would like to commend you for creating this Channel and being so open and honest about your diagnosis. I totally admire your courage, and you are helping so many people and you should feel very proud of yourself. I have some material to send you that you may or may not know about and in particular a Cover Story published in 1982 about Herpes by a major media entity. I respect this particular entity very much, but in my opinion, the Cover Page alone created unnecessary mass fear/hysteria/panic about Type 2 Herpes. On top of that, around that time Rock Hudson and later Magic Johnson announced their HIV legacy AIDS diagnosis and the misconception that HIV was a so-called Gay Disease, and we also had the Tylenol Scare around that time too, I think you see where I’m going. Keila Cotto, if you think there is cure your highly mistaken. it is a skin condtion. you will have it for life. you can be on medication to stop the break outs, but you will ALWAYS have that virus. smh.

If someone really loves you & values you they may want you regardless of this. You are a whole person, not just a person with a virus. Be selective abt whom u want to be with & share this knowledge with. Helpful hints: Take L- lysine. Don't eat dairy products like milk & ice cream while you are taking it, it reduces the effectiveness. I get the brand Solaray in pill form with Vit C & rose hips, the new one has zinc & Vit B6 in it too. 1000mg bottle from Vitamin Shoppe. Take with a full stomach. Or you'll have an upset stomach. Or I use brand: SUNDOWN NATURALS L-lysine 500 mg bottle. Start off taking 1000 mg which is 3 pills from Solaray & 2 from Sundown Naturals. Both seem equally effective to me. As your body gets accustomed to taking L-lysine, you can take mega doses like 3000 -6000mg every 2 -3 hours during an outbreak or if u feel that tingling that lets you know you are abt to have an outbreak. Also, chocolate has l-arginine in it (which can cause herpes outbreaks) so don't eat chocolate or just eat a little bit & be sure to take L- lysine if u do for at least 5 -7 days. The other thing to take is Olive Leaf Extract. This stops shedding so u add less likely to spread the virus. I take pill form (Nature's Way) normally white & purple bottle. Try to get one that has more Olipurein in it. Or liquid: Barlean's brand. Don't drink coffee, it allows l-arginine to be absorbed more easily which can cause outbreaks. Be uplifted. Look for herpes cures. I believe it can be healed & cured one day.

You don't just get them from sex. If your mom had them and gave birth to you, they could be transferred to you, they can be dormant until something triggers them such as a fever, cold, stress or other things.

Hey! This video is solely about genital herpes - meaning herpes on your genitals regardless of the type - and it is transferred through skin to skin contact during sexual activity (oral, vaginal, anal sex). Now if you're talking about types rather than locations, HSV1 can definitely be spread in other ways than sexually! As for neonatal herpes (which FYI only happens in 0.01% of deliveries, globally), it would be herpes indeed, but not genital herpes which like I said before is the only focus of this video. Hope that clarifies things a bit! x

I was diagnosed with HSV 2 almost 2 years ago. Whoever reads this just know you are much more then a small rash that can come about every few years. Many are ignorant to what having herpes or any std means about who a person is and choose not to pursue something because of it. This does not mean you are unlovable romantically and sexually. When someone does come along who shows they do care about you for more then sex, the std will become something lesser that can be worked with rather then be a negative characteristic that can’t be seen past. Work on yourself and cherish the people who can appreciate who you are that come into your path. God bless🙏🏻
