My prediction is that Season 5 is going to be a major content patch and the theme is going to lead us into the expansion, almost like WoW does for a pre-expansion lore line that leads us to the starting area of the jungle zone. Should be a good time!

Those were always fun from WoW. So there's still that empty spot in Hawezar just a little bit north east of Zarbinzet. I'm sure some streamers brought up in the past wondering when content will be added there. Prior to the expansion could be fun or maybe it will be that new raid building after expansion.

this, plus loot filter where filtered loot is dropped as crafting materials and then saving of builds or at least paragon board planning, so you don't have to alt+tab 4 times per level

When I saw the Spiritborn class, it struck me as a Monk/Witch Doctor hybrid. With the expansion bonus content having a TP called "Road to Kurast." Makes me wonder if the Spiritborn would be a Monk/Pally hybrid.

I reckon S5 might have a complete overhaul of Uniques, some changes to tempering so it is harder to brick items, possibly some change to get glyph xp from the Pit or other locations in-game as discussed by Rod in the recent article and hopefully loadouts. Other items like skill/paragon reworks are unlikely given that was mentioned for the expansion.

Hoping spiritborn has some poison and necrotic type skills. Was a big fan of wd from d3

good chance i will get the expansion. i just think it's a good idea to wait and see how things go first. even this goblin event still had problems, but the game is definitely moving in the right direction.

I really hope we get a lot of buffs across the board. We need a lot more Build and Skill variety.

You can play 43 different Barb builds...and a handful other fun stuff. But mainly Barbarella, Barbie and Barbossa. Someone tell Blizzard that they have other classes too 🤫

There are so many games and updates coming it's wild - Juy is going to be especially busy for me as Final Fantasy 14 Dawn Trail & The First Descendant both go live on the 2nd. If you haven't heard about it before, check out TFD it's basically a Korean version of Warframe but it is extremely well done, the beta tests left nothing but good impressions and the devs have been fairly open and candid. Looking forward to the mid season patch and S5 previews as well - hopefully no major nerfs to minions. I could see them taking a small hit to durability since they basically never come remotely close to dying lol.

I know people want pally which would be cool but i think a war priest would be even cooler

the team who did season 1 and 3, is doing season 5 so don't expect much.

Shaman (enhance) main here as well! But Demon Hunter (vengeance) quickly came into a close second almost passing shaman when they came out.

#1 priority for me is loadouts. It's the main reason why I don't play more, cos I can't enjoy different parts of the game easily like pvp, which is also why I'm compelled to play only with builds that do everything well (aoe, single target, etc), which are not many.

If people could start asking for a way to see base item stats on a master worked item that'd be great.

I want Blizz to add aspects or leggos that change sorc abilities element types. Like frozen orbs into fire orbs, something like thay

I hope it is less hunter and more shaman. We already have the druid who uses animal companions like a hunter, and the necro does the same with corpses. I would like a true nature class, but the druid is already half shaman half hunter, when you look at the heart of it. I think the spiritborn is gonna be more of a monk/witch doctor hybrid that uses spirit (as the druid does) to deal nature and shadow damage at in a unique way. I also hope that it can carry a polearm and a shield because that would just be an awesome combo for a class like this, and they can utilize them in unique ways, like throwing the polearm in a spinning motion using wind elements in a giant circle for AOE, or throwing a shadow spear through a boss for good single target. There are so many ways this can go, I hope it's gonna be awesome!

Two changes they should impliment on tempering is making sure base affixes are available for all classes. I noticed one class has critical strike damage as a tempering affix while sorc does not have that. It has to be shock critical strike damage. Also i think all tempered affixes should have the same chance of rolling. Blizzard shouldnt get to decide whats important for my build. Maybe be able to favorite a tempered affix so the chance of getting that affix gets higher with each reroll.

Shamanesque style is exciting but I was a monk lover, so lfg

They are adding a lot of social stuff for season 5 (group find etc) they need to get those right before the expansion. I wouldnt hold my breath for crazy features or content

I just want something like the cube. Or at least give a statless item to druids sorcs and necro that they can temper and put aspects on. Equalize crafting with barbs and rogues.

I think the mid season patch of S5 is going to be the expansion we’ll see but I am not sold they will do a full season with the expansion after only 2 months

I wouldn't mind they surprises us with a Dark Knight class as well. They love D4 dark theme, we like Dark themes, bring him with the D2 Paladin aura but a Shadow one that melts mobs like PoE Righteous fire. Bring it as a purchase and you have a sell already, I don't care at this point.

Spiritborn's gonna be everyone's main frfr

I would love if they make game finally fun, this season i was bored after two days of playing

1) Loadouts with set skills and boards, such a pain in the ass to respec at high levels so much easier to do it once and save it. D3 eventually had this don't see why it was removed 2) Sorc and Druid help. Endgame for them seems amazing but getting there is brutally slow and painful (mainly for me due to resource problems that plague the early game due to lack of options in that area, I personally haven't gotten either past level 45 due to this problem while in past Diablo games I never had this issue) 3) Paladin/Crusader class added. Could care less about Spiritborn class as it looks like another an amazon clone with casting mixed in based on the picture we got (also doesn't help that there is a few other games I am far more looking forward to coming out at literally the exact same time) 4) Uniques to have significantly stronger stat parameters, I can't justify using most of them as I objectively get weaker, even with the special affix attached to it. Either that or add Tempering to unique

The Spiritborn looks very Witch Doctor-y if the leaked skills are real. The Witch Doctor was from the new region too iirc? I hope it's more Shaman than Witch Doctor too though

They said that the vessel of hatred expasion will be relase with s6 somewhere. So s5 will be only 2 months long i guess.

As a filthy casual, I like the way D4 is taking shape. Yea yea, I know "should've been like that on release" ... why wasn't it? no idea, but I hope the people who make decision at Blizzard learn from their mistakes moving forward. The way things are now this is definitely something I can see myself wasting a few hundred hours on every few months. But one thing is clear - I would not be able to enjoy this game (to this extent) without Maxroll ... yea there are other resources bla bla ... but I really like Maxroll so ... thanks for that :)

I wouldnt mind a different way to level glyphs i dont want to see a "slay all enemies" or "return the three keystones" or "free 7 prisoners" ever again.

I hope tempering gets some revisement. Buff world bosses so they're actually a fight & make them drop a mat that recharges tempering durability. Also some of the tempering needs to be changed. It heavily favours basic skill builds (as seen by most of the top builds this season.) Other skill trees need more love in tempering. Don't nerf the basic skill tempers, just put other skill tree tempers on their level.

What i think they should do is make Lilith have a weekly Resplendent spark drop. This way you kind of have a soft pity mechanic!

It is just mid-season? I've already turned in all my rep for Wolves weeks ago. I've been done the Seasonal mechanic for a long time now it felt like. I guess i could just keep running the PIT to get better gear to keep running the PIT. Super excited.

Straight to the point, thanks Raxx! If the expansion is only decent and the game largely stays the same by October, when PoE 2 comes out, D4 will be a barren wasteland ruled by the schmucks parading their pre-order cosmetics. 😂 Don't get me wrong, D4 is improving steadily, but the base product is so problematic and limited that the devs can do only so much. That said, if PoE 2 is bad or remains the EVE Online of ARPGs, D4 will hold its ground.

Now release a timeline on when we should play each of these games in an order that makes sense around their seasons/ release? Some of us are full time working dads! I'm usually behind the hype but I really enjoyed every one of these games. Last epoch systems and skills. The simplicity of jumping in D4. The depth of POE2. Combat and world of Elden Ring. Currently playing HC in LE but most people aren't anymore

This is why I never understood the complaints about D3's Set items. They practically guarantee that every class has 5 (and later 6) functional builds to choose from. And once you've grown tired of them, you're free to create your own with the Legacy of Dreams/Nightmares system.

@notbrad4873 Yeah where's the frozen hydra? The channeled beam of lightning? The blizzard of fiery doom? I loved how the D3 runes would drastically alter the skills. The DH could have a pet raven, a boar, a wolf, etc. The Barb could go from slinging a spear to throwing a boulder. The Wizard's Slow Time bubble was so cool looking.

They need to make legendarys drop like this: legendary helm drops as a legendary helm bag so each legendary drops as a bag and takes up a inventory slot but they stack so you can farm all day and then go back to town and start opening them all

Finally got my last achievements heard season 4 was fast to 100 so tried it out... the game has the same issues since day 1... No loot I never upgraded an item post 70... Things went faster as I knew I could ignore the loot lol... in a Diablo game that is shocking. going 30 levels with no loot changes is awful design.

Honestly having a new expansion come out just 2 months after the start of a new season feels pretty weird. I feel like I'll just completely skip all of season 5 and just wait for the expansion to come out. Which doesn't bode well for the player count during season 5. No reason to burn myself out just 2 months before we get the first expansion.

Raxx, have you considered mentioning to the devs the need for sorcerers and Druids needing an extra item slot? Sorcs need either a 3rd enchantment again or a 3rd ring/2 amulets! Then this will close the gap. Druid should be allowed to hold a 2H weapon with a Focus at the cost of major attack speed reduction. I know this would require animation rework but they just need the tempering options and aspects to help their builds.

An amoury would be good. I would like to see uniques made useful. If the brought in tempering for them that would make them become useful again rather than just storing in stash or selling for gold. There are very few regular uniques outside Uber that are really useful although I do use razorplate on my Barb.

Tempering changes the item and the devs said that unique are unique for a reason so they need to find another way of buffing them without modifications from the player.

S5 will be only 2 months? I was thinking they would just slide in exp into S5, instead of starting whole new season...
