Most of the enchantment slots are garbage. Sure, having a 3rd would help a little but they honestly need to revamp the entire enchantment perks granted. How about revamp the existing ones to make more than a couple actually useable, then give us a 3rd enchantment slot, and make the 3rd one tied to an ultimate ability that has an enchantment ability as well.

I am right there with you, I love the variety and I feel gear is just better overall! Certain stuff still needs tweaking, but that's ok. Any chance of a meteor build? I played around with it early on and with just basic gear and ok tempers, meteors were dropping for over 2M a hit.

Big icespikes sorc question! So Icespikes does scale with skill damage from things like intelligence so its classified as a skill and icespikes is direct damage so why doesnt it proc the fire bolt enchant??

Sry about noob question but how i can put 2 tempering of the same catagory. In the build of blizzard in the helm and chest you have 2 defensive tempering.

My understanding and experience is that you can only have one temper from each category. Ancestral items can be tempered twice, one from each category. I think that is an error on the build guide.

I don’t, that and ball lightning. That was what everyone used and was the only build that made Sorcerer powerful. It was nerfed to the ground.

I’ve played a sorcerer since launch. This season played a rogue and is the first time I’ve truly felt godlike power. I won’t be going back to sorc until this class gets some love

Pally/Necro (Light & Dark, Yin & Yang the duality of man) main since og D2, I still main necro but your video's in S2 made me make a Sorc and ohhhhhhhhhh boy did I have fun being an Orb of Death and it has been my 2nd or 3rd alt ever since. I always get the Necro to 100 and take my time to enjoy the 1st play thru of the season you know stop to smell the roses before I crush them into dust, this season's Necro is the 1st time I actually felt thematically like a Necro since D2. This season it was my 3rd choice got my Necro 100, Barb 90 (Sometimes you just wanna yell come on hit me in the face like you mean it), Sorc 83 in 2 days as Frozen orb and holy shit the screen clear is WOW. I got the winterglass ammy very eary in T2 that and a perfect umbral = gg and shit not even on my screen dies because of it and I gonna switch to Blizz once I'm done with the helltide rep. Just playing Frozen Orb again brings back the warm and fuzzies of D2. Keep up the great work

Is the incinerate build tanky enough? Normally standing still is death for us.

I'm at lvl 100 incinerate build and have a ton of DMG reduction and can face tank the Butcher in NM T50. There are times when flame shield is necessary and teleport to get out of bad situations but I feel very tanky, Timitry legs and Life Steal for 80% Barrier at all times. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Been using incinerator/firewall with fireball & firewall enhancements. It's been really viable so far. Just hit pit lvl 50 today no issues. Know that's not huge but I also have no Ubers or big uniques

@@A_Nellprober i don't really ever cast wall/meteor too much i just rely on the enchantments to proc them...i dont really have "good" gear either but i have some gear waiting for me to hit 80...Incinerate is just crazy...

Says it has a 50% chance to proc and sat there for 5 minutes waiting. Either I have the worse luck or it isn't proccing like it should.

LOL my necro smashes tormented duriel in around 45 seconds but with my blizzard build I'm nervous to even risk wasting the materials trying...

Go look at Maxroll pit rankings.. top right now is T140 at just under 13 min for a Sorc.. and it's not just a one off, there are multiple sorcs in the top 10. There is tons of damge to be found with Sorc, you may be experiencing user error 😅

Yeah pretty much got all the lightning buffs now and then I got some elemental ones I might take out the unstable current buff and and do another elemental... Right now I'm using meteor with 3 coming down helmet..blizzard..and then the rest are shock lightning spear spark chain lightning unstable currents..I have fire ball and fire on the enchanted slots

I got to keep it going…. STILL WAITING ON METEOR!!!

It's not a bad setup because if you start with a blizzard or lightning spear then you do your other attacks like meteor and then all the lightnings it's less resource cost and then you get buffs for different elemental attacks

i have to agree sorc is clutch, but i switched to a barb after it just got random one shits. everywhere.

Not gonna lie I'm actually really struggling to have fun as Sorc this season. like, I am trying to get a build together and it still feels like 99% of everything that drops for me is absolutely worthless. Incinerate for leveling worked briefly, but after that nothing is really coming online. Build isn't taking off, always struggling with mana. I'm unironically doing the "best leveling strat for Sorc in season 4: stand next to a Necro" just to get shit from helltide. like seriously, this kind of fucking sucks. Still squishy even at the armor/resistance cap? my single target damage is a fucking joke. like, I've given the game till level 76 and I have some 925 gear, but shit just still sucks. It's still so annoying to solve mana problems, it feels awful to play i'm not going to do hundreds of nightmare dungeons to level glyphs on the vague hope that maybe, maybe after all that grind, then it will be fun once I get to start masterworking gear, like. fuck this, this is bullshit. if the midseason patch doesn't buff Sorcs enough, i'll only play more this season as a Necro, if at all.

Im only lvl 78 so this might not apply but i have it so that crowd control refills my mana. I think it is a temper. If not, i imprinted it on a piece of gear. The cast twice frozen orb with the extra explosions cc's everything. Except bosses lol. I dont have the Uber unique for it yet, but it took care of my mana issue at least leveling through mobs.

All the top sorc builds use tibaults will for mana regen. If you don't have it yet, you are better of sticking to Incinerate. Maybe a high rolled prodigy aspect can somewhat replace it. With tibaults, a mana/second roll on 1-2 armor pieces and resource tempering on the rings you should not have mana issues.

Sorc is really bad this season.. Last season I was able to kill uber lilith at first level in mere secs.. This season no matter the build unable to do the same.. Seriously something is broken with all sorc builds this season..

Sorc is actually almost topå class in the pit. Allso the higest duo pit is with a sorc.

I tried necro but im not a fan of minions, which basically gimps you this season. Back on sorc accidentally worked my way into ice spikes by what dropped esrly... but im working on a meteor build, because thats the skill i personally want to use... can i get starfall coronet to drop? Can i fook. Sorc is fun this season though

I player Sorc preseason, season 1 and season 2. Took season 3 off. I have multiple characters in necro, barb, and even rogue this season as well as a Sorc (maybe I’ll do a Druid if I want pain). The problem with Sorc is that you have to work so much harder for the same or a lesser result than other classes. My necros and barbs were clearing content so much higher with ease. My Sorc has been a slog and a struggle. I have used several builds on the Sorc and none even compared to the others. The damage on them is weak and if your barriers are off just a little bit, you die. Necro and barb can just power through everything with minimal effort or thought. The only thing the Sorc has going for them is visually their abilities are the coolest looking in the game by far.

Depends on what you play the game for. Sorc to me so far requires more engagement and maneuvering which i enjoy compared to me necro in previous seasons. I do ice specifically for that reason.

I did ice spike meteor incinerator arkorb and nba fireball. Its not fair making sorcerer useless just because they are the bosses, you can get shako or anything that it doesnt matter. The damage still pretty weak.

Give sorc back our third enchantment slot! Hear hear!

Build 1: 2:34 incinerate (really fun, need a buff on dmg or dot) Build 2: 3:51 teleporting (not tried yet) Build 3: 7:20 ball lightning (not tried yet) Build 4: 11:59 Ice spikes (a little boring, good dmg) Build 5: 9:08 Frozen orb (good balance fun/dmg) Build ?: 5:00 firebolt (very boring, insane dmg with perfect gear) Hope it helps. My personal considerations in brackets.

I levelrd up so far 7 sorcerers on hardcore each on different spec and element my fav is lightning ball second ice spike and incinirate same level of fun.

Fear not. I'm making the teleport build BETTER. You layed the foundation now I will build the cathedral.

The incinerate burn ticks for 50 mil/sec meanwhile barb bleed build ticks for 500 mil twice per second…

Wait I thought this went into effect in the last patch? I must be missing something. 😮 was this today?

My minion necro and bash barb do so much more damage than my sorcerer , it makes me sad .

after season 2... I don't ever want to see ball of lightning sorcerer for awhile. It does have a special place in my heart....and it still tries to stop it 🤣 . It was stupidly powerful to say the least in season 2 though.

I really enjoy your teleport build and I have a +4 to teleport chest piece but since I play on controller/xbox there’s no way to evade in place.. every time I evade I evade pass my enemies and miss out on the whole damage it’s so annoying very frustrating especially on bosses. If anyone knows how to fix this and have a like hold shift button or perform evade in place on controller please let me know.

In order to perform a teleport in place you need just to press teleport button with your moving stick in default position. So basically just do it while not moving, like a vertical jump in WoW

Infinite DPS is confusing, because one hit of infinite damage every second is equivical to a hit of infinite damage every microsecond.

I started a sorcerer with my girlfriend. We are having THE hardest time fighting literally ANY boss 😂 on my bear bonk druid I was able to unlock torment at level 55 with no issues whatsoever. On my coop sorcerer, I can’t even kill a spider without almost dying

I guess the thing with Sorc is, other Classes feel powerful, the Sorc should but not a single build makes you feel powerful like in the old days with ball lightning. I try to push Pit, but I doubt that I will ever do 100 this season. I do it with Blizzard and I have ticks about 2-3 Million. But thats not the problem, if you don’t have flame shield uptime at about 100 you are constantly one shot by trash mobs and cross bows or the shadows bosses find that little open window you leave. If they only chance for Sorc to get to higher pits is CDR well, then you don‘t have „real“ build diversity. Build diversity should mean to have different ways to reach a goal. By having Flame Shield up all time for all its just the same way somehow. But I mean, I don‘t think this critic will get any close to Blizzard and probably its ok to be the weakest class for one season but have some wannabe build diversity which isn’t real. Except you enjoy just reaching ND100 and Pit 70.

Frozen Orb is a less-fun, Diablo 4 version of Frostbite Frost Claw from last epoch. If you haven't played the build in LE yet, you should go check it out because it's insanely good.

We need Wizard back. I want my black holes and lasers.

Flameshield sorc is hell of a lot fun in pvp to fight against. You cant dmg them, in any way. I just saw yesterday fire sorc with flameshield 100% uptime easily just killing everything and everybody and absolutely nobody could do anything about it. Why is there pvp if things like these are a thing.... I loved frozen orb sorc even more than electric orb one but the boss fights are painful compared to electric. Ice spikes sure it takes 2 - 3 seconds to load the dmg properly but that doesnt matter when the dmg output is 10x better than any of the rest of the builds. In the few seconds of waiting, you will not make enough dmg to overcome it with the rest of the builds.

Weakest for boss dps barring the broken ball lightning build a while back, sure, but uh, ill be damned if i cant absolutely clobber a nightmare dungeon and just delete mobs harder than any of my other characters

Sorts can't beat level 200 bosses. I am level 100. Maxed out all glifs. Maxed out all armor with the best perks possible. I try to beat level 200 bosses and I get 1 shot immediately. The damage output sucks. I use the blizzard ice spike build currently. I have tried all of the best build possible. Sort need massive buffs to all stats.

Thats not true i have a blizzard sorc too and do 200 bosses in like 1min or something you just need more damage reduction i guess.

They didn't buff sorceress they only fixed the vulnerable damaged the sorceress is still weak compared to the others

Nothing to do end game other than the pit is the issue. Very boring after level 100. Not counting a few bosses we can kill in a few seconds.

This is not correct. Ice spikes blizzard is NOT, the best build in pushing pits at the moment. Sadly, it is the firewall/firebolt, imortal build. They are both super boring sad build though.
