I been watching your videos on repeat while I’m playing Diablo 2 hardcore solo self found too. I have completed Throw Barb, Whirlwind Barb, Werebear, Summon Druid, and Fire Druid. Right now I’m working on my last challenge - lvl 1 to 99 Zeal Paladin Hardcore Solo Self Found. I just love the melee challenges. ⁠I went Maul from the beginning for the challenge. Easy way is at lvl 6 get 1 spirit wolf. It a surprisingly good tank for act 1. At lvl 18 get 3 dire wolf. And 1 point in Wolverine. Keep upgrading maul. After 10 lycanthropy that is enough with spirit sword 12. When you get lvl24 upgrade some shockwave so you can get 4 secs. Lvl30 1 point in bear. Max maul first then Werebear. You need the damage and defense. Then I splint upgrading between Wolverine spirit and dire wolfs. When Dire wolf is 10, I max Wolverine spirit. And then I go back max dire wolf. The reason points in dire wolf is tank plus extra life to bear. Protects me merc and spirit. I use the fire act 3 merc for AR boost and against physical immunity. I always farm for angelic combo or hasarus belt and boots. You need so much AR going into Nightmare. It’s a slow grind but you know it 🤣. I got the Werebear to lvl 87 and then got bored. Hitting one enemy at a time is boring. @thenuclearrabbit

Thank you! Glad you liked it. Griswold set is so good. Me playing it as a hammerdin isn't even optimal. It'll probably do way better in a FoHdin but that didn't make sense with the Griswold theme. I trust old Blizzard enough to balance their game in a way that high end items will be able to clear all the content.

2:37 the 7mf charm gave me a chuckle 😀 and yes, lilith with might .. well played! and the 1600 damage are the reason I have a verdungo on swap for Lilith. if you look up her stats, she basically does double the physical damage of all other 5 ubers. Mephisto and Conviction/his lightning attack is a second (but due to Salvation skill a short) story; for me, Lilith is by far the most dangerous.

Great job! Way back when Ubers first came out, I used a full gris smiler to take them down my first time. But I had it chuck full of Bers for the weapon, Ums in the shield and res/stats rare jewels in the armor and helm. Good times. Though I've still never tried them on HC. Too much of a chicken... lol

You can make juvs with vendor only items using cube so unless cube recipes aren't allowed for his challenge he didn't cheat. Just sayin

I never see anyone ever utilize smite on a hdin to stun and KB monsters which is huge at low level. And the KB from smite puts the enemy at the exact perfect position for hammers to hit so when u smite an enemy a single time B4 casting hammers it guarantees they will get hit by the hams

Nihlathak was corpse exploding the monsters that your merc was killing - I don’t bring a merc into those runs for that reason. Also, I don’t use decrepify when doing Ubers being that life tap is so important and not having it can get you killed. Just my two cents, gg as always bro! Griswold set looks very viable for Ubers 💯

Ah that makes sense. Would you happen to know why the skeleton kept respawning as well? In the throne room. Bringing decrep was a mistake but I didn't wanna fix it cause I liked the rest of my setup. Bit lazy but I got away with it

Good job. Was cool to see the epic fight. Diablos bone cage is scary. I am planning the same setup :) but my pally also named Griswold ripped after uber meph hit 1800k life with one tap and i lost my hc ssf enigma, cta, grief, mara etc... sadge. Maybe next time :)

7:15 , the redemption aura has some frame rule to it or whatever its called , it "ticks" about once every one to two seconds and its why i dislike using it Nihlathak still blowing up corpses even when killing whit natures peace is something i have noticed as well, so he either has a way to make corpses whitout you killing stuff or the natures peace ring has some kind of tick system as the redemption , i normally run him whitout a mercenery but it doesnt happen to often and the damage seems to be lacking compared to his regular explosions

Yeah it might be just an additional tick moment from the Nature's Peace. I wish it would work differently though. When I do 2 things to prevent a thing from happening I would like to actually have it be prevented. Especially with it being one of the most dangerous things in the entire game. A lot of people seem to run him without mercenary which I didn't expect and am going to try sometime.

Does The Countess have an absurdly low drop rate for keys or something? It took me a TON of runs before I even got one key to drop, meanwhile The Summoner and Nihlathak legitimately drop them every few runs. It’s always been like this for me.

I don't know but it's always been bad for me as well. I've had it happen multiple times that it took me hours to farm them even with a fully decked out light sorc. Destruction keys always take me forever as well. Glad I'm not alone in this I always see people casually farming them in like 15 runs and I'm just like "How?!"

Can you please please please do another Griswold run as a ZEALER with a PHYSICAL SUNDER CHARM?

7:58 rough to watch... im guessing this is your first hammerdin? I surely hope so.... even a lvl 1 holy bolt will do enough damage to kill at your lvl dude. I usually have like a +21 holy bolt on the low end... Edit: kept watching the video... he said hes been playing for years. ( I took an arrow to the head hearing this )

Another cool video. Still, the paladin is one of the most versatile and comfortable classes to complete all the content in the game. At the moment when you said about “the game tells me to play the necromancer” I felt sadness again. After these 23 years, I stopped being a fan of the necromancer. Watching videos from experienced players like you and my own experiments allowed me to discover many new and unusual ways to play. With the exception of the necromancer, when you get deeper into the game you realize that the necromancer is bad at everything except blowing up corpses. All three skill trees are just appendages for exploding a corpse. And this makes me sad, one of the most unusual and powerful abilities in the game makes the necromancer one of the most boring and uninteresting characters.

The necro could use some redesigns for sure. I actually like what they did with him in Diablo 3 and 4. The problem with the necro to me is that too many skills are just support. You have all these great aura's but only 3 real builds. Being summon/magic/poison. I actually really enjoy playing Necro. But there just isn't much to work with. I don't think the problem is with corpse explosion per sé. It's optimal ofcourse to use it. But that's a result of there just not being much to work with. If there were a few builds that would utilize the corpses in other ways the diversity would open up quick. I would love if for instance poison explosion got a big upgrade. And maybe add like a golem that eats corpses or something. I think that would solve a lot of it.

Perhaps if the original team that developed Resurrection continued to work on the game at the same level, we could get some new builds for the necromancer, perhaps rethinking some of his abilities. But unfortunately, the latest update only removed Koreans under 19 from the game. Wow (sarcasm)
