    ఇంతకు ముందు రోజుల్లో కాయ కష్టం ఎక్కువగా ఉండేది. తిన్న carbs కరిగేది. ఇప్పుడు కూర్చొని ఉండే సమయం నడిచి వెళ్ళడం తగ్గింది.

    Sir by doing intermittent fasting i reduced my wt frm 83kgs to 62kgs and my diabetis also got controlled.thanq f i r inspiring us to do the diet.my doubt is iam taking a ful bowl of fruits (diabetic friendly). If fructose not gud for liver,should i continue to take fruits daily or not .pls clarify my doubt.Thanq

    Yes with is method you can avoid diabetic complications Diabetic complications are mainly because insulin resistance Diabetic drugs reduce blood sugar but not insulin resistance

    Dr. Satyanarayana garu, A couple of observations regarding *sweets vs. powdered/ground starches (carbohydrates)* discussed between 0:55-3:58. You made a good point that while everyone realizes the danger posed by the sugar in sweets, the amount of glucose in items made of ground starches (idli/dosa/puri etc.) is not widely appreciated. However, I think it is worth re-emphasizing the need for reduction/moderation/elimination of sweets for the following reasons: 1. Sweets contain 30-40% by weight sugar or *sucrose*, which is 50% glucose + 50% fructose, while powdered starches are polymer chains of just glucose units. As Dr. Lustig pointed out, _fructose is the far greater danger than glucose_. Also, fructose being much more sweeter than glucose is more addictive. 2. Sweets are *designed* to be *addictive*. _If they are not addictive, they don't sell_. Fried starches are also addictive, but the usual method of preparing idli, brown rice, chapati by steaming/boiling/roasting is never addictive. Also, since the latter are always consumed with vegetables/curries their glycemic index (which you defined as the _rate of release of glucose_ into the blood stream after consumption) is much lower than the glycemic index of these items consumed alone, and, of course, much much lower than addictive sweets.

    Thank you MR Ravi I totally agree with your analysis. Rice idly and roti in the context of diabetes are equally bad. They are acceptable if somebody does not have insulin resistance. I observed even lentils and various dal preparations influence to increase insulin resistance . Most dangerous are refined processed carbohydrates and refined processed seed oils. I appreciate your comments and analysis

    Yes we need not supply carbohydrates though food to the body. But body needs sugars. If we don't eat sugars liver can convert proteins and fats to sugar. We need to maintain our blood sugars between 80 mg to 100 mg per 10 ml of blood that is equalent to 1 teaspoon sugar
