I just ordered the Radial ProAV1 DI box. I do video production for dance recitals and other events and I frequently get audio from a soundboard to go into my audio recorder. Sometimes I get ground-loop problems that this will solve. Plus there are other times where I need to hook a laptop or iPad to a sound system to provide audio. This DI box really is the "swiss army knife" of audio equipment. I will use it for multiple things. I can't wait to start shooting events again after the quarantine is over! 😁

Thanks for posting Joe! DJ from OKC that follows your channel. I have never heard of a DI box only from your past videos have I seen it before.

Is there a problem with them going out of your powered speaker using xlr?

Just going out of your xlr out. Like on the back of a k10. To go into their zoom recorder.

@@rjpimprov No. There is no problem with that but there could be if done incorrectly. The output on the back of any qsc speaker is a great place to tap into even if running qsc subs since all qsc speakers have internel crossovers but pass out full range signal. I've often plugged a battery powered Sennheiser wireless transmitter into the back of a K series speaker. The only caution is that you need to make sure phantom power is not enabled on whatever device you are plugging into the speaker. You don't want to drive 48volts into the output stage of any mixer or powered device. Phantom power is only for condenser mics and active di boxes.

For sure. I will keep that in mind whenever they want to plug in. I know I have one this weekend...I forgot those zooms have phantom on them. Best to double check and make sure they do not have it engaged.
