$132 for 5 days when you have to consider the context behind it about not even filming for a full 5 days,giving 2-3 lines and a few other nonsense is a joke considering you’ve been here for a good long while align with the fact you could have gotten so much better opportunities and roles elsewhere. It’s not a surprise we don’t see many of the original actors or the other prominent ones anymore. Really sorry you had to go through this. You along with Mair,Chas,Nick,Vinn,Colin,Sarah,Kali Jane(the girl who played Allison Day) and Riki really were the big foundations that made their videos bearable.

On g. You have to consider the context meaning what lines are you going to have. Speaking (not main actors) get 33-44$ which is a lot and again, I’m not talking about the main actors. Most of the actors protesting are main actors so. Getting 132$ for 5 days of just saying random lines is very good. Plus, he probably could be lying about how much he really got since we just have to take his word for it.

Do you have any concept of work and money?? Even if he made only minimum wage at another job, he would have made at least $620 for 5 days (assuming 8-hour days)! He is losing A TON of money by taking on a Dhar Mann project! Do you understand that he must turn down other work or projects for the other days that he committed to (but did not film on)?? What Dhar Mann is doing is pure exploitation and stinginess and should be illegal (and probably IS illegal)!

@@denzelburnside9937 ​ $132 for five days for just 1 video and he’s only working just 4 to top it off where he has to commit and book himself out of other projects not to mention where he won’t even be required to film the other 2-3 days. 132 bucks may sound good on paper but not when you considered other key expenses in which one actor she lives two hours away from LA and has lost money every time she took on a DM project due to gas and hotel.

@@VegasPoker123 Number one, if he didn’t like the wage, he SHOULDN’T HAVE TOOK THE JOB. He didn’t have to take the job if he didn’t like the wage but guess what? Number two, we will never know if this was the actual money he got. We just have to take his word for it. Number three, it’s just a back and forth drama. There’s no true proof Dhar Mann is doing this nor that the actors are lying. There are some actors defending Dhar and some others attacking him and the community is doing the same.

@@chanchaniceman Number one, these videos obviously take a long time to make. He doesn’t make them overnight. Dhar and his production crew has to edit the videos, and make them with quality. A video won’t take a day to make bro 💀. Some people take weeks to make videos (like MrBeast) and other people like that. Number two, it’s only one video. 132 bucks for one video (or at least that’s what he is saying he made) isn’t bad.

I honestly think Dhar is awesome to be honest anyone who is not a contract actor do not get paid the whole rate this is why non contract actors don't get enough money straight away they have to have side jobs to get by i would encourage Nathan to take what he can while he can and work hard for it because hes a great actor if he feels hes not getting what hes worth at Dhar Mann try elsewhere i personally think after hearing what most actors at Dhar Mann feel about their experience at Dhar Mann studios most totally love it there and he is actually a great guy so please don't hate on him

Definitely if the contract says you are booked for 5 days they should pay for 5 full days. I would check it out if its worth taking this crook to court with all the other actors for compensation of the lost days, easy win for you guys. Take care Nath 😇😉

Exactly! If the video or project REQUIRES you to commit 5 days, you MUST get paid for all 5 days, whether or not you are actually needed and filming on all 5 days. AND you should be paid a flat “day rate” for each day (say, $250 to $400 per day), not an hourly rate for ONLY the hours you filmed or worked. That is the only fair way of paying the actors!

As a fellow Dhar Mann actor this has not been the case for me. If a shoot is going to last 5 days, I am told which days out of those 5 days I will be needed. I am given that information when I am offered the role. I still have the emails that show this.

At least you break it down for us like this. So far every other video is just "oh he doesn't pay us enough" or "he doesn't pay us enough to pay rent" but then will state he only pays per video they're in.... This breakdown makes it make more sense as to why people are more upset. Especially having to make yourself available for so many days and not knowing what days you'll be needed or what exactly your part is up front. It makes sense now.

Keep in mind that Nathan is the person who broke down the contract that the other two Elk Boys failed to read what they were signed in that one particular video. I believe for this reason, Nathan the best person to be exposing Dhar Mann when it comes to contracts and hourly pay, and conditions based on the contract.

Dhar Mann would be NOTHING without the actors.... He made millions off of them and then fires them..... I hope they take action on Dhar and get what they rightfully deserve..... The actors are the only reason I ever started watching his videos.... I stand with all the actors....

Vice Versa, without Dharman the actors would be NOTHING, and without the actors, Dharman would be NOTHING, It goes hand and hand. However, Dharman can always find more actors or create another business since that's his personality and work ethic. Anyway, I do hope they get better pay in the future tho.

You mean to tell me, you only got $132 for 5 days? That has to be a joke honestly speaking.. Basically you were paid $26-$27 per day then.. 24 hours in a day.. So that means you were paid between $1-$1.50 an hour.. This guy has so many subs, accounts, and makes so much money. It really isn't much for him to pay y'all actors a good amount of money and make things good for you guys. What's the point of upgrading a studio when the working conditions for your actors aren't even that good? I'm upset to hear you had to turn down better offers just to be on his productions since you don't know what your role will be unless you sign or follow one of their contracts. That's just absurd to me. Then to have your time wasted and hardly make any money after knowing you could've gotten something better upsets me even more.

You explained this problem in Hollywood so well. Yeah he is exploring it a lot more than others but the problem of hourly rates and having to block out those days per client as a small actor is a VERY OLD problem.

You were one of my favourite actors on dhar mann I'm so sorry this happened to you. Dhar mann needs to better. Lesson learnt is rhay just because you make positive and uplifting content promoting good character it doesn't mean that the creator himself has a good character. Will miss you🤧

I've noticed that very few OG actors are still around. As far as the new ones, I guess the rest of the cast warned them because they haven't lasted long. Some of them I see in maybe 3 videos and they aren't acting anymore.

wow, I never really thought of it that way when I first heard of it at first I was like you know they’re doing another protest video or something but no this was the real deal and after hearing all of this this week I was a bit confused I wasn’t like what sure which side but I am on the actor side and after your single bit of Dhar Mann and new information I don’t know. I’m getting a little bit mixed feelings now I think it’s like one of those like I don’t know who to believe anymore and I saw his recent videos and don’t get me wrong. I love the inspiration like the quotes in the messages, but with everything going on right now is it wrong? Good points. It does seem weird that you can see the script or know the part in advance. How can you negotiate your pay for a speaking part? The inability to take other jobs is messed up. I agree the pay doesn't make sense. I thought actors were paid daily or per episode. I wondered what happened to my fav actors.

So sorry about everything. I can't believe this. This needs to improve or else I'm not watching Dhar Mann's videos anymore. I was a fan since mid 2021. Can't believe this is what turned out to happen.

I noticed that Dhar Mann stopped showing himself in his newer videos where he went “hey Dhar Mann fam, I hope you liked that message….” And some other stuff.

I am in Year 10 and i am currently learning in Business about Business Legislation and that includes employment law and one of the things about that was ''Fair employment contract'' which Dhar man here is clearly breaking and is being exposed for doing so now this would gain him short term profit but long term loss as companies stop sponsoring him, his fans stop watching and KZread's possible demonitization its crazy how business class can help you understand whats actually going on.

Nathan, the funny thing is that I remember you were in the Elk Boy’s vídeos telling the other two... Hey! I did the math, and that is only $5k/ year. No way we are signing such contract. And now I am hearing this... wow! This is as bad as the bad contract they made the Elk Boys signed into.

Alright, the contract sounds absurd, thsi is crazy, it is literally like exploiting you for man, he should be paying hefy amounts of cash for a while for now to even get anywhere close to feeling safe to do productions with him, and then from there, making a way better system for working out with decent and I MEAN LITERALLY DECENT PAY. I only still watch your guys’ videos (include ones on “Dhar Mann’s channel” and more like the videos of you guys) because it your work.

Everyone should know that Dhar Mann (or maybe an employee of his) is actively “scrubbing” all the comments on his KZread channel of any negative or critical comments. I know for a fact that I have been blocked now from making any comments on his community posts and videos, and I am quite sure that I am not the only person! (I have made about four new - and critical - comments that cannot be seen by anyone else.) That is one reason that you will find that the comments on his videos and community posts are 99% positive or at worst neutral. The critics and “haters” are still there, but they are now blocked from expressing their views on his channel! Dhar Mann cannot tolerate any criticism; he is quite a piece of work!

I wasn't surprised at all when all of this came out. It was a ticking time bomb. I don't mean to sound racial in any way, but I wonder if it's an Indian thing to be scammy when it comes to finances. I've worked for an Indian couple for 6 years and they treat their employees the exact same way. They have ways around paying for overtime. They screw up taxes. This isn't the first Indian couple I've worked for. I worked for another years ago who did the exact same things my current employer does. Needless to say, I'm currently looking for a better job lol. Thank you for speaking out and standing your ground, Nathan. The more actors who come out about all of this and speak up, the more it will hopefully push him to change and improve things.

I always had this feeling about Dar man when I started watching his videos long before seeing this video. I knew something was up with him. Just the way he always acts all happy and positive and how he shows that he cares so much about people already made me feel something was up with him!

This is why I left Banfield Pet Hospital. They wanted me to have availability 3 days a week, but no guarantee I would be scheduled and they even took me off the schedule entirely for an entire week on 2 occasions. When I complained, "I was told that parttime employees(which I was) were guaranteed 0-30 hours per week". No one ever expects to be scheduled for 0 hours a week. Mind you, if I just decided not to show up for work on a scheduled day, they would have fired me, but they were not required to schedule me when I was required to make myself available. When I finally had to ask a nonprofit for help to pay my rent, I decided that since I wasn't scheduled for a full week, I would spend that week looking for a new full time job with a more trustworthy and reliable employer. I'm doing much better now. Sometimes, you just gotta look for better opportunities.

I support you. We all need to pay our bills, and Dhar Mann clearly doesn't want to share his $260 million fortune with those who made him successful.

Seriously out of all Dharmann ex employees you're the one that explains it the best how Dhar exploits his employees. I loved how you were able to respond to his claims of "actors being paid competitively and they knew exactly what they were getting themselves into when they signed the contract." Wow not cool.

Did you listen to the video? 1) it is hourly rate. You may have signed into a $33/ hr contract for 5 days, but you were only needed for 4 hours within those 5 days. Yet, you do not know when you are actually needed for those 5 days for those 4 hours. You only get paid $132 hours for that project, and you have to turn down other projects because you must be committed within those 5 days.
