Even without the mistakes, it felt yhat Rosberg was like 2 seconds off Max's time. Damn the amount of performance improvement seen in 6 years in terms of lap time is probably second to the Schumacher ferrari era

Rosberg was 5 seconds slower than Verstappen's time, he didn't make 3 seconds worth of mistakes haha. He did lose a tenth in S3 but that lap was pretty close to as good as it gets in 2014.

Not a fair comparison of course, but nevertheless a much cleaner lap from Verstappen. It's amazing Rosberg got pole with that scruffy lap, what is even more amazing is that Hamilton's laptime was almost 4 tenths slower and he was still on P2.

Are you stupid? If a car has poor downforce, it's obvious your driving is going to be scruffy. Watch any Schumacher pole position lap from the early 2000's. If Rosberg drove today's cars he would have a clean driving too, as they are on rails.

@@acc6748 I started with the phrase "not a fair comparison of course". Are you capable of reading? No need to get all worked up here. Obviously Rosberg made a huge mistake into turn 6. Verstappens lap did not have such an obvious error. And besides that Verstappen used the track much better. Look where Verstappen is positioned before turn in at corner 1. Pause it again at the apex. Then pause it again at the exit. Now repeat that for every corner.

@@the1gladiator2 That's because I understood the point of your comment but you didn't understand mine at all. You make it sound like they're playing a videogame, if you watch videos from the 90's and early 2000's you'll find almost every single lap was full of errors and corrections because if a car is unpredictable and not balanced correctly, that's not your fault. Then suddenly everyone, even the worst drivers, have become clean with the way they drive because the cars are glued to the track. All they have to worry about is how much they can push, but they don't need to drive around the flaws of the car for the whole length of the track. The 2020 Williams is more glued to the track than the Ferrari from 2004.

@@acc6748 I understood your comment even before you wrote it. But apparently i had to elaborate mine. I never said Rosbergs lap was scruffy compared to Verstappens lap. I just said it was scruffy period. I did mention Verstappens lap is cleaner and what i meant by that is that he didn't make any big errors. Next time just ask.
