I learned « Bear dance » next year. I really prefer your way to play this « mélodie ». Merci pour cette version. Et pour les autres aussi. Simple, agréable. So sweet...

Thanks for this helpful play-along session! I’m trying to improve my melideon playing: to learn how to play chords on the off beat sometimes, and to learn some new ornamentation ideas. This is a great way to practice!

Hi Paul! Thank you so much for this video - and all your other wonderful videos. If I ever make the decision to start playing the melodeon seriously, you're going to have played a substantial role in that. If you ever felt like doing more videos like this, I'd certainly love to see them. I don't remember the exact tune you played in another video I enjoyed equally as much - but you basically kept adding layers onto a simple tune, and that seems like a great format as well. Right now I'm just listening, but if I ever do start playing those would be very helpful as well. There's another thing as well - you've played some french tunes as well, and I know so little about that tradition and that music, and I find it difficult to find information about it - it's not as easy as with English and Irish music, for instance. That might be another thing to explore - tunes or similar in the Blowzabella-end of the spectrum. :) Either way, thanks for making these. They're fantastic.

Hi Paul, really enjoyed this and very useful for a beginner DG player to have a set of session tunes to build towards. I'd really like it if you could do a similar video of beginner DG Irish tunes in the same fashion. Thanks again, Henry

Fantastic! I love this video and these songs! Thank you! Could you please do one on playing with the left hand on a D/G melodeon? My left hand and the concept of rhythm even is very foreign to me. I’m used to trying to pinpoint and copy the melody……but rhythm is new!

I cannot help but notice you play some tunes with a definite Cajun flavour with the syncopation and twirls. Cajun is my favourite. I am sure you can do it. Can you please do a rip roaring yes haa Cajun tune for us? I would love to learn that. Pete

What a great idea. Thank you so much! I know the notes are widely available but would it be possible to get hold of notes with ‘tabs’ to indicate fingering etc?

Thanks for these Paul, two turns I’d love to learn on DG box are The Man In The Brown Hat, and Horizonto. May be a bit ambitious but I can dream. Happy new year to you.
