I knew the story, I knew how it was gonna end… And I was still naive enough to think I could handle this story in a longer format. Seriously, I broke down crying after his dad talks about how you have to go on living as if they are still here. I think a lot of us has had one of those “what if” relationships, it sure made me think of mine

Same! I’d watched the original film and read the book so thought I would be prepared. The last episode was so emotional, it made me tear up when Dexter was crying. It was a beautiful show and I think it sends the message that sometimes what you’re looking for can be right in front of you all along. Also if you love someone that makes you happy to cherish it and not waste time!

I did not read but I looked up the book ending and it nice to know that Dexter moved on after her death and that just like Ian they both went on to have healthy relationships and a family while still remembering her on July 15th

It very rare to see a show or movie and be totally heartbroken by it but this one will destroy you. I just love how the ending he relives the first day they met and can we not talk about the acting?? The chemistry they had was amazing and the acting was brilliant. These two both deserve an Emmy for their epic performances.

I realized people have to learn love like they learn anything else. We are not born into this world knowing right from wrong. He needed that time to grow otherwise their relationship would have never worked as a couple. I think now sacred friendship is the key to any good relationship. Accepting the good and the ugly because we know their purest form. Only then it would bloom into something beautiful! It’s very rare for someone to say “we grew up together” with the love of their life

I’m not even being dramatic I couldn’t stop crying towards the end, it broke me omg he changed the memory he could’ve prevented all that 💔😭😭

Despite I knew how it was going to end, I hoped till the last second that she was going to live 😢

I've suffered through this and now I won't watch it again for a looooong time. It's one of those series/films you watch once and they scar you so bad that it's triggering you to rewatch but I loved it really!!! It's really well done.

Such a brilliant show. Leo is a phenomenal actor. New crush unlocked 😭🤭👏🏻

by far the best netflix romantic show i’ve watched and probably the best romantic film i’ve seen. the ending absolutely wrecked me but it was so real because some love stories don’t have happy endings. this brought every emotion out of me. a top favorite. wow. really shows you to take a chance on love when you first see it and feel it. appreciate what you have before it’s gone.

ok its sad, but it was also beautiful. Maybe we cried, but it was a beautiful tale and also inspiring how the characters tried to be their own selfs and get to know their own self more and then found each others again and again. :)

For anyone who sees this there is also a movie with the same name and it’s the same story but and older movie with Anne Hathaway. Some things are different but most of the big parts are the same like her death at the end. Still just as heart wrenching and romantic ❤️

So annoying how immature and afraid people are of taking hold of love when its there in front of you. He was damaged but she loved him anyway. Humanity doesn't have to be this way...let's not do this in real life.

I enjoyed their beautiful love story although it made me sad at the end.

So well acted, great performances all around. Wanted a happy ending and it never showed up, but I get it.

Yoh i cried throughout episode 14....especially when she sat down with him on the carpet and told him about how it would stop hurting 😭😭 One day it just stops hurting. One day you just wake up and you can breathe again without the person. After that carpet moment i feel she showed him how he needs to walk through the pain. Yoh! 💔

Just finished this series, fun fact: I cried more than I thought I would.

Ooh I ve NEVER EVER cried so much in my life!! This story is just unconceivable and it leaves you speechless until the time they come back to each other and then what they ve built in a whole life is destroyed in a few seconds... Although the screenwriter for some reason wants to make us depressed, the messages behind this astonishingly beautiful and touching story are so strong! I think these messages are what we should keep after everything that happens in our lives and the only sure thing is that life is a lesson until the end.

Just finished watching this and I can’t stop crying and I can’t get over them the good the bad they loved each other so much I absolutely loved this but I’m to emotional for this 😭😭😭

they do. this reminds me of a connection i had with a friend/neighbor of 7 years. i wanted something more and he said he wasn’t ready. he’s now engaged except we don’t speak.

It’s so easy to look back and imagine what he should have done but everything truly happens for a reason. Had they gotten together from the start Dexter wouldn’t have the character development, his daughter who he turned out to be. Never related to a show more in my life than this one 😭

The ending made me cry but i loved there love story ❤

I am not sure that I watched something more or less than that in the movie with Anne Hathaway. Anyway, it was a very pleasant, romantic, and sweet series production. The protagonists' appearance is suprising good! Also it was a very succesful description of the ages late 80s to early 2000s. This also mine ages if youth. It was exactly like that!

Imo, the TV series.
