Thanks, Denny. I have more products waiting in line to be filmed, I just need to find the time. My dad still needs a lot of care and I've been at this house several times a day. I'm slowly trying to carve out time to film and I can edit while sitting with him.

Milwaukee M12 is an all in one unit, You don't have to hook up an impact driver , you don't need to change out heads. And it's much lighter

Only DeWalt can make an attachment that is bigger than the Milwaukee stand alone tool.

You forgot... the M12 with battery and charger is also twice as expensive.

Great video, one thing I haven't heard discussed or mentioned, is that you have to remove your belt clip in order for the base to attach to your impact driver.

You’re right. I actually thought of it while editing but wasn’t going to refilm because it was already late at night. I probably should’ve put wording on the screen.

I think my inner-lazy-guy would prefer a standalone tool as opposed to the attachment, but it does seem simple to install and use. Would definitely get more use as an EMT cutter for me. Great review, very thorough, as always Jen. Much appreciated!! 👍😎

Hope Jenny or someone has an answer for me. I own this tool and have made a ton of cuts, works great BUT.... the little cutting wheel "blade" is shot. Per the DeWalt rep I talked to they do not sell replacement cutting wheels. Instead they want to you buy the entire cutting puck assembly for $30+ dollars. WTH! All other pipe cutter suppliers like Milwaukee sell replacement cutting wheels for their cutters. Someone reported Lennox replacement cutting wheels PN 14829TSB will work. Can anyone confirm or found one that works?

It makes sense if Lenox works, it’s another SBD brand. Maybe someone will comment on this that knows for sure.

Is the roller blade replaceable? Could I buy a stainless roller blade and cut thin wall stainless tubing? Cant find info anywhere.. I know its meant for copper but a stainless blade should be the only necessary difference.

I believe someone else in my comments contacted a DeWalt rep and was told no, although I don't know that firsthand. It seems wasteful to not make them replaceable, imo.

Unfortunately until the day comes (not holding my breath) and DeWalt ever decided to sponsor my job site endeavors, I'll just stick with my good ole hand cutting tool because I just can't see paying $100 and some odd dollars and or more for an attachment.... Plus I'm pretty sure other than certain situations that is I could have done got the pipe cut and moved on in the time it would take you to get that thing out put it in the drill and make the cut 🤷 but hey what do I know. 😅 To each their own, right!! And besides all that it was a good unboxing video, and a good demonstration of the tool attachment!

No argument on a one and done cut... but I recently completed a very intricate multi-valve multi-function custom walkin shower and had to do dozens of cuts. I left my Makita impact driver attached to the cutter next to where I was working and knocked out all the cuts a whole lot faster and with less work that a hand cutter would have taken. Best $80 I've spent in a long time.

What about cutting PVC pipe?

This just creates so many tools and toolboxes to carry around. I like to stay light and pack light when on a job. This is ridiculously large and doesn't have its own internal motor for that size. Just too much clutter for my collection of tools for tools to run tools. Just too many gimmicks nowadays.

Do European sizes work?

I looked all over online, it appears it can only be used to cut 1/2", 3/4", and 1" copper tubing. (Per Home Depot's website)

A good video. I don't understand though vides having repetitive annoying music. Its distracting. Do still hav etc dr-bur the inside?

Thank you for watching and for the feedback. I felt the video (and all of my others) needed some background music, but not too much. The volume in all the clips is set to 3 believe it or not. To answer your question, I’d say yes. The manual says “the preparation of the cut should follow recommendations from the fitting manufacturer for proper installation procedures.”

Kinda disappointing , I thought it was going to be more like the Milwaukee m12 auto pipe cutter where you just slide it on the pipe and go ,no picking out a size ... and why are the inserts plastic ? wtf DeWalt this is 1/2 the price of the Milwaukee but only 1/4 the quality, glad I saw this before I grabbed it

Milwuakee has a patten on that. Thst means no one in the world can do that style for the next 7 years. Unless milwuakee give permission. But after 7 yaer more. Every brand in the planet will have one. Even ryobi. But for now tight places. Stick with the original. Milwuakee.😁🇺🇸🇵🇷😁
