    He's popular because of 1. Personality. He's very engaging with fans and puts out content 2. He looks like Superman and is relatively good looking for an arm wrestler. Most look like beasts. He fits into people's vision of positive stereotype. Subconsciously he gets put into the Hero category in your mind. 3. He's a bloody good arm wrestler.

There are are many different excercises that target the forearm it depends on what your goals are. Idk if you wanna arm wrestle or not or bodybuilding, or what really, just look for excercises that target the forearm and load it heavy and consistently. :)

    +Fabio Oshiro But he Armwrestled Travis in Vegas when they were probably in their prime and it was a 3-3, Devon was coming from a 2-0 down up to 3-2, he lost the last round for a sum of fouls, if they pulled he was going to win 99%. So i guess you could say they are at least even, still i think Devon was just a little bit better. We will never know with Oleg 'cause the age difference is too great; i personally think Pushkar has nothing on the left compared to the other too (and Denis of course).

    I don’t know the exact timing of each match, but if you look at how Devon pulled Lupkes right handed, compared to how Denis pulled Lupkes, at least (at that point in time) Devon seemed much stronger. And you could also see that in late 08’ when they both pulled Brzenk. Post surgery Devon has become much less dominant.

  • @kasparov9

    @kasparov9

    5 жыл бұрын

    Absolutely, at that point Devon was better on the right arm, unless Denis was off cycle during that Arnold's where he struggled with Lupkes. Devon vs Lupkes was I think September 2010, and Lupkes vs Cyplenkov was March 2011 Arnolds. Lupkes just before the Arnolds commented on Northeast Arm Board: Richard Lupkes World Champion Minnesota Posts: 79 Jan 23, 2011 at 12:58pm Reply Quote Post by Richard Lupkes on Jan 23, 2011 at 12:58pm I have met a lot of armwrestler's in my 30 plus year's pulling, but I can honestly tell you that I have never felt the kind of power that Devon has. Not even John (no disrespect intended). Devon has my vote for #1 hand's down until someone prove's me wrong. This is just my experience and do not mean to disrespect any puller.

  • @jethrotool4828

    kasparov9 yeah I remember reading that from Lupkes. There was a 4 year period when he seemed unbeatable in supermatch format. But although Devon was stronger back then, he has always had a problem with fast hitters(Underwood, Ivakin Bagent). That’s why I always thought Arsen Liliev would’ve easily smashed him even in his prime. And now post surgery, It seems there’s a lot of guys that can probably beat him. I’d like to see him get back to where he was though(if possible)

  • @kasparov9

    @kasparov9

    5 жыл бұрын

    Well right arm Devon toyed with Bagent in 2011 3-0, losing on the left 2-1. Underwood posed a problem to Devon at Arm Wars 2010 after Don had 7 matches at that event and Devon had 12, leading up to the final, so Don was almost a whole match more fresh than Devon. Ivakin beat Devon in 2006 before Devon hit his peak. I'm yet to see anyone pose a problem for Devon when he was in his prime and fresh with a fast hit. Arsen would have lost to Devon I think, Arsen relied in jumping the gun so to speak, just watch his match against John in 2010, if he cant get that lighting start he's toast. I doubt Devon gets back to where he was but we'll see. @@jethrotool4828

    Short answer Denis way too strong on the left, John also never could touch Denis on the left and described his left after Zloty as "super, super strong, like pulling a telegraph pole". Maybe around 2011 when Devon was still No.1 on the right, it would have been a great right hand match with Denis, but lefty it was always going to be Denis, this recent match confirms this.

    Devon must not use steroids. He's not bald like most armwrestlers.

    To be honest I think they should test Denis for Roids that guy was un naturally strong he beat Devon like nothing at this level they both Have the same experience technique and skills so why 6-1 it still to hard to believe it no one has beat Devon like that just saying

    Tim should have won. They were very even and I thought Tim got hosed on a couple calls. But that's armwrestling.

    Devon come on everybody knows you’re the best arm wrestler. You can’t beat people on steroids, but as your natural self you are the best you can be.

    Well when Devon went through Lupkes 6-0 in 2010 I'm pretty sure Richard was juiced to the gills, and weighed 145kg exactly what maximum Denis weighed, Denis is just superstrong, and Devon I think has lost his prime shape and is a little bit less than he was which at this level means a lot. And against someone like Denis it's not nearly enough.

    bakters yeah it goes both ways Devon used roids plus you can't prove shit about Denis taking roids even though it's obvious but still boy roid both of them Devon would get his ass whoop it doesn't make a difference butt hurt Devon fan

    @@altair227 "Devon used roids" - Apparently, he couldn't when he was in the army, because of frequent tests. At least his wife was complaining about him needing to compete with heavily roided guys all the time while staying clean. I believed her. And I liked her too. Good woman, though that's beyond the point. After he left the army? TRT is not out of question, high doses *are* out of question.

    @@bakters I was thinking about drug test as well. Surely he may have dodged the tests, but he is also one of the only who has been tested and passed.

    Just watched the Bresnan v Babaev match... Tim for sure looked stronger and would have won. These 'foul' calls completely ruined the match and made the sport look terrible. Are we seriously gonna call a foul on 1 atom's width off the pad? Can't wait to see great matches ruined, that was so bad to watch, any new fans are now lost. there needs to be balance, if they lift off obviously yea call it, not for the smallest lift of all time with no advantage, embarrassing! no pins in the match...Tim looked like he was too strong.
