I've watched this so many times and still, I can't get over how damn tight the drums are. Just spot on, that rhythm just propels this song. One thing I love about a lot of music from this era is the great drumming. This is a prime example.

I don't think there was ever a more precise, robotic drummer that could just go like that. Peart may have been more technical / layered, but I can't think of a song where Peart just sits there for 3 minutes straight playing with the repetitive precision of a Roland drum machine lol. The first time I heard Devo was FOC era stuff, and I thought for sure Whip it was a drum machine. It's not. lol still blows my mind

Love Devo, but few of their songs really hit for me. THIS is one.
I LOVE THEIR HATS
Intense and sincere. That’s must’ve been nice hearing it loud as f. What gets me is Mark is all show business with the song but when he plays the synth breaks in the chorus he’s not messing. I’m glad I saw them live.
Lol I thought the camera effects in the beginning was my internet cutting 🤣
Gramma: What do they have those flower pots on their heads for? 10 year old me: Gramma! It's DEVO!
Tight!
I am totally digging the keyboard players twitch moves.
Why do I see #reviewbrah #thereportoftheweek in the lead singers face. aye yie yie! Aloha~~ from Hawaii~~
I want an energy dome. Anyone else?
Happy Birthday Bob Mark Mothersbaugh 11-08-2019
HOT FUCKEN DAMN
DEVOlution is REAL! Haven't the last several years taught you that??
Tank Girl
Just can't seem to find the slower version. It has kick-ass rock guitar and best vocals. The MP3 info says it's from a movie sound track but be buggarred if I can find it on YT.
I love Mark Mothersbaugh.... Devo is sooo BITCHEN!!!
Fucking DEVO are the shit .
Devo BASED asf
Nerds Rock.
New Wave was exactly like this. The future of music on stage but the audience are all dressed like 1977 high school students. This is at start of promo push for lp. Before Whip It chart success.
Based
Epic, awesome. Another band who were better live than in the studio.

Just so everyone knows.... those aren't flower pots they're wearing. Those are "Energy Domes"!😃
Ahead of their time.😊

Boat neck. Had a few shirts and sweaters with that neckline back then.
DECONSTRUCTED POP
Is Bob 2 playing a Prophet 5?
Looks like Mark is playing his small riff on a Korg Mono-Poly
Ahhh!!! Why the cameras didn't film the drummer >:(
this is how popular music will sound 100 years from now and DEVO will be respected on a par with the Beatles.
Ahhhh, analog oscillators slightly out of tune. That was my childhood.
