Devil May Cry Player Reacts to Hi-Fi Rush! (IT'S AMAZING!) | Hi-Fi Rush Playthrough Part 1
Ойындар
Out of absolutely nowhere, Xbox dropped Hi-Fi Rush, a game that feels like it was made just for me!
My first playthrough is on hard mode and I have been blown away so far! It's a refreshing take on the character action genre with it's rhythm-based combat style (especially after playing Bayonetta for the past 4 months). Have you played Hi-Fi Rush yet? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments :)

Thanks for watching! :)
Feel the beat as wannabe rockstar Chai and his ragtag team fight against an evil megacorp with raucous rhythm combat! From Tango Gameworks comes Hi-Fi RUSH, an all-new action game where the world syncs to the music.
Hi-Fi Rush features Chai, a "future rock star," and a group of friends as they go up against a corporation. To complete each of its divisions, which are each based on a particular musical style, Chai engages in a boss battles. Chai's in-game actions in this game coincide with the music.

I know I'm late to the party, but chai is voiced by Robbie Daymond. Among many, many other voice credits, including being a regular on critical role, he was the voice of Zhao in Yakuza: like a dragon. I love this game. Having Hideki Kamiya as EP makes a world of sense. This is bayonetta as a rhythm game. 11/10, want more.

I'm probably late to say this, but against QA-1MIL, When you strike the hand, it will be stunned, you can interact with it and you get a QTE, successfully doing it will cause the hand to hit the side of the bot's head, but only half, when both halfs are cracked, the head is exposed and it says "Weak point" On it, it made me laugh hard after seeing it.

Thank you for playing this! I definitely got bayonetta/dmc vibes from the combat, especially with the parries. Its so satisfying when you combo in this game. Cant wait to see more of this!
This game is really something special. I hope its resounding success will encourage publishers to greenlight more games like this.
Someone at Tango saw the Nevan weapon in dmc3 and said, this but a full game, and I'm thankfull for that
There's another game in a similar vein to this that came out a few years ago, by name of No Straight Roads. It's much smaller in scale, shorter, more boss-centric and the combat isn't on the level of Hi-Fi Rush here or Soulstice for example in terms of crazy move combinations. Difference with the music aspect being that boss attacks happen on the rhythm of their specific boss themes. It's also the debut game of its respective studio-- and for what it is, it's very stylish, impressive, and full of love towards the world they crafted and a celebration of music in general. Focus may be around Rock and EDM, but other styles -from house to classical- get their spotlight too, and depending on how well you do in battle, the base Boss theme becomes either more Rock-like in sound or EDM-like in sound. I know it's not on the level of H-FR, but i'd hate for it to be forgotten or remembered only as "The Lesser Hi-Fi Rush". So i'm kinda spreading the word. Also, in terms of music-themed game mixed with (genre), there's this upcoming one by name of God of Rock that might prove interesting.

I really doubt NSR will be forgotten or remembered as "The Lesser Hi-Fi Rush" and I don't think comparing the games is really fair. No Straight Roads had (and still has) a massive following which is honestly impressive for an indie game
As someone that has ADHD, this game hits on another level. The stimuli and the way it scratches the right places..... The ONLY way it could have been any better, is if it was open world oriented, something along Sunshine Overdrive. Even just watching vids about this game makes me jump in my seat.

I love this game, and I love 808 so much
10:04 Metal Hellsinger does have a demo (at least for Series X/S and PC, but not last Gen/One) It's a pretty similar concept except it's an fps (game style where you fight enemies to the beat) and more focused on a Heavy Metal with a very 1980's Metal Album cover aesthetic (think Meatloaf Bat Outta Hell)
The game is made by Tango and is published by Bethesda
Yeah this was one of the best shadow drops of a game yet! The music is too notch along with the combat!
It’s a AAA studio release by Tengo involving the legendary creator of Resident Evil 👍
Seems interesting to me that he had a little bit of issues trying to get on the beat while hitting enemies at the beginning considering he played DmC a lot, but with some practice he got the trick. Some people had it more rough, while others got the rhythm instantly.

I'm surprised people like the game so much. I tried it out and I'm a huge fan of the hack and slash genre but my god I was bored. Maybe I wasn't in the frame of mind but I found the writing cringe and a massive pet peeve of mine is being babied through a long tutorial that I can't skip. It's ok if you dislike the dialogues or the art. But the gameplay is amazing, you have a lot of combos, special attacks, block, parry, dashes, hook, combos with companions, and also a lot of different enemies, and also every boss fight is very different, and they give you new mechanics even way after half of the game.
@porkadillo9752

How is there a long tutorial? There are only a few mandatory tutorial sections in the first level, and they're all extremely brief. All the other tutorials that come from Smidge can be skipped. Do you just consider the entire first level a tutorial?
