every single demon that tried to fight Dante was biting off more than they could chew, the only exception was mundus who might have actually won if Dante didn't bring Sparda

I think the reason this music is so epic is because it's a fight between OG Devil May Cry characters. The first two characters you meet in the entire series, really.

vergil is great for RG practicing, his summon swords and judgement cut are very telegraphed. and if you're big brained you can also guard his dt attacks too

What I love about playing Dante in this game, is that you feel like the final Boss, and all other enemies are fighting for their lives. Dante is at the climax of his power basically.

I hate how Capcom leaked so much of the game before it was even out. I avoided almost all of the post-E3 trailers and then got spoiled by KZread recommendations that Vergil was going to be the final boss just a few days before it came out and I was so fucking pissed

Probably one of the best boss to fight in the game especially with the sick music.

Apart from Vergil, this is still my favourite boss in the game. Fighting him by deflecting his slashes with my own was a majestic experience.

I love this fight. It's just like the Nelo Angelo fights remade for the modern DMC combat system

He had a mission to accomplish when he retreated from V, to find and destroy the Sparda. When Dante got the sword he had no choice but to fight him for it. Don't forget Cavalier is an artificial demon created by Urizen, basically a slave to orders

It was fun dodging his sword swipes and hitting him back with swipes of your own.

Completely forgot royal guard was a thing in this fight, so I went full on sword fight for this one. I found it more fun than Vergil.

I like how in dmc1, 4 and 5 the best boss fights are armored knights

To the fans who have played or seen the first game, you'd realize Dante knew it was Trish because this wasn't the first time she threw a motorcycle at him.

Sure. Who had a doubt the first boss we would fight as Dante will have one of the bangers in the entire game? Basically, for me this theme is not about the boss, it's about showing how badass Dante remained since the DMC 4.
