the reason i like this channel so much is that literally every video feels so full of unique personality. Like even with a sponsorship video, where most channels would noticeably drop in personality and charm, Lou straight up just and tell us how they actually felt about the product which was really refreshing to see. I think genuine honesty is kinda lacking on this platform nowadays

It is very realistic to the true experience.

I think videos like this are so important to people like me who are still fairly new to this fashion, as I got the impression watching other lolita KZreadrs the devil inspired was a straightforward way to get Lolita dresses but have since discovered that the shipping fees should not be that high. I too had a Christmas present held up for ages by a head bow and even when I asked for it to be removed it was still was stuck as processing for another 2 weeks. Safe to say I won't be using there service again, thank you for giving a genuine review, many others wouldn't!

Im glad it was helpful! I have done videos buying from other taobao resellers and other services, honestly you can get the same stuff for cheaper and more reliably from most other taobao resellers. DevilInspried just put their money into marketing and its been working for them.

As soon as you said "$150" I was like "oooooh noooo..." because I know that feels like you can hardly anything on that site for just that price and it is never enough to hit their mark for the free shipping they sometimes have sales for. DI always has pretty bad shipping costs, even to here in the US. I've just gotten so used to using this as my go to lolita and ouji fashion stop, even though their processing times take forever, their shipping fees are crazy, and there's hardly any communication unless you pester.

honestly, just use any of the other english-language taobao resellers :)

I only buy instock ready to ship or 2 weeks processing stuff. That way I have to wait a week or a month at most.

Thank you for this review, i feel the same way about Devils Inspired and about not spending my own money with the shipping cost being so expensive. i actually placed an order on new years eve, as an early birthday gift to myself, because they had free shipping and i wanted to try out a few less expensive pieces before committing to a new fashion. I was really ok with having to wait the 3 weeks - 1 month it said it would be but a month later its really unnerving not hearing anything back and waiting for customer service to hopefully reply to my email. I was really apprehensive before buying from this seller and watched all the reviews i could find, and they didn't really talk about the shipping as much as i wish they did Wish i found your video soon thanks for an awesome review!

It's nice they covered the shipping, but it cost that much and took that long...

To cut on shipping costs I tend to use Kate's Clothing, they get devil inspired and punk rave stuff and they're UK based.

"Why does this video look like it was filmed in a railway tunnel? Who knows." - I'm dyyyyyying. Haha. I'm surprised they didn't contact you about the delay months before you reached out to them. I've heard DI is super slow and that's enough for me to stay away. I'm glad you didn't gloss over the communication issues and the pricing. If DI wants people to say nothing but great things about them, they it needs to show in their customer service. Also daaaaang you look great in that set.

I think they just forgot tbh, and I did too.

It's a shame about the expensive shipping and the communication, you'd think they'd put a bit more effort into this if they're hoping to get people to buy from them based off these reviews. Or maybe they did and it's usually worse than this.

No, I think this process was very realistic, so atleast they treated their sponsor effort the same as they treat their customers. Minus the paid shipping and products ofcourse.

I thought I would buy a Lolita dress on DI because it is cheap (20€ for a dress is extremely cheap I was amazed!) and it was really pretty, so perfect for my first dress! But after seeing your video, and hearing the shipping price! No thanks!

I'm from Alaska originally, and I've always been used to paying a LOT in shipping for just about anything so the shipping cost didn't faze me much. What I don't like is that it's been months and I still haven't heard anything about my order. I'm new to the fashion, and managed to place an order with a shipping service through taobao and it was ordered sent to the warehouse and arrived at my apartment within a month or so. Still nothing from DI...I'm so upset too because the two dresses I picked I was really looking forward to receiving. Now I feel like the 170 ish dollars I spent was just thrown in the trash. I've emailed them 5 plus times and they just keep telling me its 'processing' and that it'll 'ship next week'.

:/ ok but a pre-order is a pre-order and frankly some indie brands out of China have really good turn around times for their pre-orders compared to an AP MTO which is usually 8-10ish months MINIMUM. So idk why the salt and impatience. The amount of time doesn't at all unreasonable. Like my guy I appreciate the details you've gone into with this and the side by side woth the model was a great way to show the garment but tbh I'd expect more from someone who CLEARLY is experienced in this fashion subculture to understand how a pre-order works and to read the waiting times for garments. They take a long ass time for a reason. Someone out there is spending a long time making that jacket.. it's not like forever21 where they use quick sweatshop labor, most lolita brands in China are extremely small operations run by less than a dozen people who actually really care about their products. Expecting an item you order with a production time of like, an already made item is a little unrealistic.

The coat had nothing to do with the delay, if you watch the video you'll hear me tell you exactly what they told me the delay was. I know how pre-orders work.
