Wow, just look at the Paxton's character development. He changed so damn much, yeah for devi, but also for himself. He's now a completely new person. In this season we have seen a nicer, sweeter, and kinder side of Paxton.

The reason I rooted for Devi and Paxton more this season is because unlike Ben, Paxton changed a lot. He pushed himself to be a better person and a better achiever because of Devi. And hell he stood by her through everything even after all she did to him. Shows a great level of maturity on his part. Meanwhile Ben pretty much remained the same and only regained interest in Devi again after Aneesa was shown to be less nerdy than him. Just my opinion though. Edit: 2 things 1. Thank you for all the likes it’s probably the most I’ve ever gotten. 🙏🏽 2. I think I might have worded it the wrong way for some people. Yes Paxton did wanna change for himself but you can’t deny that Devi did have a fair amount of impact on it as well. At least from what I’m seeing you can disagree and that’s ok. We’re all sharing our opinions and this comment section has given me possible new perspectives about the show and characters. So that’s what I’m grateful for. 😁

I rooted for Paxton and devi in the beginning because I thought that Ben was wayyyy to good for her. Devi is sooo selfish throughout the entire series and she just made my blood boil and I’m in love with Ben so I didn’t want her to be with someone who could do way better. So yea o was for Paxton and devi but now I don’t even want Paxton to be with her because of how much he’s grown and stuff

I totally agree.. alot ppl have been disliking Devi for the bad choices she made but I think that just makes her relatable we all made dumb choices in high school but I like that both Paxton and Devi grew into better ppl this season. I secretly felt like Paxton was totally wrong for her last season but he really put in the wrk and still remained a friend to her thru all of her selfish crap. That's loyalty. In the end I actually felt they deserved each other.

Let's get one thing straight. Paxton was never an egotist. As you all know he is not good at expressing himself and he has got such terrible friends, who judge him for no reason. That's the only thing why he treats devi poorly. But he took her to the hospital when that coyote bit her and he was there for her when she fell in the pool. Ben waited for Devi at Malibu, so did Paxton! He likes devi a lot, but Devi herself is very confused and unstable. But now that they are together, I hope they stay like this in season 3 as well.

I really didn't like her this season and I feel like she doesn't deserve any of the guys, but looking past that, Paxton doesn't bring much into their relationship, she's the one who pushed him and makes him a better person while Paxton's main relationship quality is that he's hot and a good kisser. Ben, on the other hand, actually challenges Devi and Devi does the same to Ben, so I feel like they work better together

I get people like the IDEA of Ben and Davi because in the past, shows always show the nerdy girl ending up with the “popular jock” so it seems to me people are choosing to ignore all of Ben’s negative traits and ignore all of Paxton’s positive traits. Honestly both characters are well rounded and created characters. Both have pros and cons. Let’s also be real, Ben isn’t just some “regular relatable nerd” who DESERVES Devi, he’s rich, smart AND had a popular gf….. Yes Paxton is “popular” and has a lot of girls all over him, but he didn’t have a serious relationship like Ben did TWICE in both seasons. Paxton is also kind, he was only a jerk to Devi after Devi did something or the time her mom insulted him. Hating Paxton JUST because he’s popular isn’t fair. Plus….has anyone noticed how Paxton acknowledges Devi has a bit of an explosive issue and he’s been able to calm her down and comfort her in multiple occasions? At the end of season 2 he literally knew how to calm her down after she was about to go off on the DJ, letting her know it was ok and they could still slow dance, because he KNEW that’s what she wanted. People keep saying Ben and Devi belong because they have a lot in common but it’s not about that, it’s about balancing each other. Devi encourages Paxton to be more and believes in him, Paxton knows how to listen to Devi when she has issues, knows how to calm her down and is always complimenting her. That’s something Devi currently needs because of all the issues she has. Plus….Ben chose Aneesa. This was longer than I intended lol

Plus despite her doing all those stuff to him he still stood by her. And after he did something he always came back and apologized I think that is really mature of him. When he found out she two timed her he gave her a chance after having emotional deliberation over how to approach her. Plus I hope they don't ruin it if there is a season three like try to make him a douche when we know he isn't or if Devi hurts him again. Between Ben and Paxton I think she has hurt Paxton a lot of times. Plus before he got hit by a car despite him saying she didn't hurt him he really was greatly hurt by that and kept comparing himself to Ben because he thought he wasn't good enough for her Anyway your comment was great

Paxton didn’t know Devi before she asked to have sex with her. When he found out that she doesn’t look down on his sister, then he decided to be a friend! At the parties, when Devi got hurt, he always rescued her! Ben did nothing ! Season 2 episode 8, he saw her crying, even he was still mad with her, he still be nice to her! At the end of season 2, he still went to the dance for her! What did Ben do, after he found out she’s cheating? If they break up because of Ben in season 3, I won’t watch it anymore…..

Seeing devi and Paxton together gives me more butterflies then any romcom.

I literally love this show because it feels relatable in the sense that through all the drama, mistakes, and regret that it's okay to make does not so wise decisions. Life isn't perfect, I don't think anyone has a perfect and consistent life of them making the best decisions so it's a bit annoying to see when people say Devi is not growing when literally growth is different for everyone, Devi is just the type to learn from her mistakes. Also, I really love the growth with Paxon because he's actually wanting to try and move on from the labels that people set on him of "just being the hot dude".

She was emotionak when she kissed ben, that's it. Aneessa is everything ben needed to be happy, i mean she don't have issues as Devi and this boy have enought tbh. Devi always wanted Paxton but when the kiss happened, they got confuse, for the first time both did not see each other as enemies but even they had things in common who show a real change was Paxton. Omg, i never expected a change with him, he was a jerk at the beggining due to his popularity and superficial sometimes, but at the end his love for Devi was capable to forgive all the shit she did. If they dont finish together on the other season i will feel it was a waste of time creating illusions for Paxton and Anessa...they are such an wonderful people that do not deserve that shit and the last scene what the hell with ben, i got confused cuz he was rude with devi until a point, he was jelaous oh them even having a good relation with Anessa, he makes me wish a lot with that behavior.

Are we gonna ignore the fact that paxson didn't move on as Ben did n also on dance day he was chilling at home becoz he knew he can't go with devi to dance party n he don't wanted to go with anyone else.

ONE of the main reasons why i want her with Paxton more is because of that jealousy she had with aneesa and ben. now if you paid attention, we all saw that after that whole cheating shit, paxton never went with someone new, so devi really wasn’t worried about that, although she still wanted him. but when ben showed interest in someone who’s not her, i think it was just pettiness. cause she was so used to ben’s attention on her that it just made her unbalanced(kind of), because it was now on aneesa. i feel like if she liked ben THAT much, she would’ve tried to fix things with him on the spot, but she chased after paxton instead at her party. she was so focused on winning back ben’s attention that she never saw how much paxton was willing to change for her. and because she did at the end of the season, that’s why they’re together in the end. i don’t think she really wanted ben, i think she just missed the attention that came from him. which is why ben should get someone else😭

I ship them so much. He changed for the better for her also. They have to be endgame. Yes she and Ben are cute but for me they are better as friends. It was always Paxton who saved her, from the cayote, from the pool. He was always there for her. So I really hoppe they will end up tgether. (sorry for my english)

okay okay okay. so first season i was team ben all the way. bc the thing ab paxton then was that he had one layer, how he was w his sister, and that’s all. while ben had so many layers and overcame everything to love devi. but season 2 is different. bc after she dated both of them, ben hated her. i mean so did paxton but you could see he got uncomfortable every time someone was rude to her and you could tell he still cares ab and loved her. in his episode he said that being terrible to her didn’t feel as good as he thought it would. but ben’s love was j gone. he chose aneesa over her and wouldn’t talk to, look at, or even be in the same vicinity as devi. paxton’s love was stronger and conquered all and what pushed ben to like devi was the fact that aneesa was a bad lawyer which isn’t a good reason or even a reasonable reason. and tbh, ben acts like devi was so terrible when, although she’s a terrible person, he did cheat on shira and at the dance he tried to dance w devi while still w aneesa. i am team paxton, he showed so much growth and layers and i’m proud of him as a character.

Paxton forgave Devi almost immediately and still wanted to be friends, even if he was the one who was treated more poorly (almost lost college, been cheated, Devi's mother bullied him for no reason, all school believed he had sex with Devi). Ben just made peace with Devi when he found a new love interest. Paxton changed a lot and showed a great growth. Ben kept all his flaws and had no evolution. Paxton was bullied by Devi's mother without reason, as I said before, while Ben was invited at dinner and treated kindly just because he was sad. (I'm not saying she had not to treat him kibdly, I loved that episode, but Paxton just wanted to help Devi and got insulted for prejudice). Paxton never really judged Devi and even when he was angry with her, showed to care. We can't say the same for Ben. In the end, I like Ben, but for me Paxton is better.

I really like Paxton x Devi but I’m not sure but I feel like Ben and Devi would end up together honestly. Maybe later, also, I want to mention that I am totally on board with Kamala and Mr. K’s ship.

I don't know how I feel about this season. I don't get this whole Team Ben stuff for a start. Ben was quick to move on, in front of Devi. Yes Devi and Ben are both academic but there's more than academics, there is growth as a person that both Devi and Paxton did for each other, being brutally honest. Paxton said it as it was and I totally understood his need to keep them secret the second time around. Ben though isn't ready to be mature and literally rides on his academia, name dropping etc to be liked. In season 1 Ben became interested after Paxton showed interest, in season 2, he's straight on Aneesa and only considered Devi when realising Aneesa was not as into academia as much as him. Ben acts like a spoilt brat wanting Devi once she's with someone else. He had every opportunity to tell her where he stood... Paxton did. In all scenarios where Ben and Paxton were present, paxton was the one who came to Devi's aid. I was so happy when Devi chose Paxton - I was going to stop watching if it didn't happen 😂, it was only spoilt because of how it ended, (Ben) . I've been a little disappointed in Devi this season. I get she has issues, I really do but her selfishness at times was on another level, which goes beyond the trauma of losing your father. Some thing's were real tantrums and selfishness, some things are just basic human traits. So she got suspended, paxton lost his scholarship, because of her and he still came back. I think I need to watch it a few times to get my head round it all lol. Ultimately my allegiance still lies with Devi and Paxton (they bring out the best in each other, making the other one want to be better) and I want Devi's character to grow with him on board, I want them to learn from each other, I want the focus to be on other aspects of Devi's life and see a lot more of Devi and Paxton together, pretty please! . I will be watching this on repeat, because although I've said all the above, just shows how thought provoking the season was. Bravo to the creators and cast!

Yes I totally agree, I feel like devi was way more selfish and impulsive this season. Like she made me so frustrated at times. Like it's one thing to be very selfish and cause tons of drama, but she always tries to avoid it and she never realizes how bad her actions are. It's like she is blind or something. She made that rumour about Aneesa and then when she apologized, it's like she expected aneesa to just forgive her. Devi was like oh well at least I was honest, like girl you just humiliated someone and now the whole school knows about her very personal secret

ben and devi are okay ish I guess. cuz enemies to lovers isn't really a new trope. but THIS. this is interesting. I feel like the human side of Paxton hasn't been explored enough and thats why a lot of people don't ship them. cuz it seems superficial. but I hope next season they do that and devi and Paxton remain together

The popularity contest is starting to flip in favor of Paxton because he's been given more layers in s2, and consequently so did his relationship with Devi.

I love them so much but this season felt like he was only the “ideal” of American boyfriend she always wanted and it seems like she’s going to be with Ben since she was always talking about getting him back

When they were sitting next to each other studying by Devi's bed and Paxton rested his head on the bed and smirked at Devi I SWEAR that was so hoot I want a guy to look at me like that 😰lmao why do I become a teenage girl when I'm watching this show I'm 26 dammitt 😂😂(and yes I know IRL Paxton is 30 so it's okay hah)

For the record, Davi and Ben are cute, but Paxton and Davi are endgame ❤️ out of the two boys, Paxton is literally the only one with obvious character growth, we see him move from jerk to sweet, to confident to wanting to learn etc, while Ben goes from angry to okay, okay to angry, mad to okay… get my point? I was a hard-core team ben, but he turned out to be straight up mean this season. I understand the hurt he was feeling, she cheated on him, that I totally understand, but when he switched up to Aneesa?? He does realize that he has a very very high level of intelligence, so when he was judging Aneesa for not being a smart as him it showed how shallow he is. Paxton showed a lot of maturity and character development this season so I switched sides. He was able to look at his faults regarding how he was treating Devi, and adjust his behaviors towards her. he matured a lot this season and I’m really excited to see how season 3 plays out for them.

THIS WHY is no one talking about all the unnecessary meanness of Ben this season, but it's okay to highlight all of Paxton's bad sides?? Be fair, people.

In th end when devi was ready to beat the dj up for playing upbeat songs, paxton just calms her down and says we can still slow dance... If you watched the entire season you'll realise he always calms her down which makes them stronger!!! Ps the chemistry is fire.

When Paxton came through Devi’s window the first time it was something straight out of Wattpad #teampaxton

one thing I love abt the couple is that they adjust to fit each other. Unlike Ben who is more like her, competitive and nerd. Paxton is total opp. of Devi. Both of them compromised their interest, moved from their comfort and gave up on ego took a step forward to stay together. I don't believe in soul mates, more into efforts to be a couple.

Devi and paxton have way better chemistry.

i honestly think paxton started seeing things different after devi, but he was, i guess, "scared" of being judged. then he realized how he evolved from his old self, not because he wasn’t a good person, but because he had never seen things differently. and my girl devi has A LOT to work on too, but i think it was really nice how she was truly a friend to el and fab, she listened more this season. also, how even when she was felling awful because of people calling her "crazy", was happy for paxton, and rooted for him.

I want devi and paxton to be together in the end. it was always paxton, not ben. plus paxtons character development was SO GOOD this season! he changed for the better because of devi!! I still think he's the one.

I wish she never dated Ben. As soon as the season started I knew she would hurt Paxton and he's the kind of guy who would pretend like he's not hurt but it would kill him to forgive her. I am so happy she chose Paxton, his growth is so sweet and beautiful not to mention he's gorgeous :) p.s. I knew it was game over for Ben when she followed Paxton after they found out

I feel like Paxton didn't go to the dance with Devi because she helped him get better grades but because he said them together didn't make sense and when that lady told him they make a pretty good team maybe something finally clicked and he realised he was going to lose her if he didn't step up

Because of the fact that Paxton really put some efforts into changing himself for good, either regarding his grades or getting better with Devi, unlike Ben, NOW I'M AFRAID IF THEY'LL DO BAD TO THEM IN THE 3RD SEASON.😕 Please Netflix don't ruin this.

I've been team Paxton since the beginning. Paxton is a completely different person to Devi and just brings out the best in her. In my opinion, Ben ans Devi are better suited for each other as friends not lovers but Paxton's the opposite. Everyone's like: oh people only like Devi and Paxton because he is hot. THAT. IS. NOT. TRUE. They generally love each other and would be beautiful together. I'm scared though... in s3, I can tell that Paxton is gonna get betrayed again and something is going to happen between Devi and Ben. I can feel it. Even if Ben got with Aneesa to make Devi jealous, he still got with someone else and shoved it in her face. Whatever happens, I just pray with all my heart that Paxton and Devi are together at the very end but I will really cry if Paxton gets broken into a million pieces again. I'M ROOTING FOR PEVI/DAXON!!!

in my opinion I feel like just bc Ben did something selfless for Devi doesn’t mean they need to date like just bc friends or best friends do that doesn’t mean they have become bf and gf I’m team Paxton cause he put his priorities before anyone and then focused on himself with the help from Devi then reflected his choices and chose Devi which shows he grew plus Devi was with him at his worst and she got him when he was at his best hopefully they stick to their decision in the next season and don’t keep breaking up and shit

idk I get what u mean but I really don't think it was just that one selfless act. Ben and Devi got each other. Behind all that banter and rivalry, there was two people who care about the same things. They both put in effort in season 1 to understand each other- I wouldn't say it was just that one act. It's just that we didn't get to see much of ben this season. Anyways I liked paxtons development this season and I think if the age gap wasn't so obvious to me I'd like them even more

Why the hell did everyone forget that Devi could walk again after seeing Paxton, which proves how big of a crush she has and had on him . On the other hand obviously Ben in better for her and they have good chemistry only because both are nerds . Which makes them more like bestfriends and he had always been there for her and Paxton even after having little character development tried to make her a secret girlfriend and also only went in the party because teacher called him to say that he was doing good on academics due to which he wanted to keep on the relationship with Devi So my conclusion is : both of them don't deserve Devi We want a Indian boy who gets Devi and loves her on any condition .😂

If Devi breaks up with Paxton next season,I hope she ends up with no one realising she really chased after the boys because she was lonely after her father's death,Ben and Devi make so much sense as friends and while Devi and Paxton do look good,I don't think they're gonna last

- I’m finna have a long rant so… I liked paxton and devi being together in season 1 but season 2 made me really root for them and made me realize how much they really are great together. in season 1 I knew from the jump that ben and devi were gonna start liking each other because it was a clear enemies to lovers so I thought that devi and paxton weren’t going to end up together because paxton was going to be a cliche douchebag popular boy but then in the episode when he apologized for going off on her about his sister and then when she was walking back inside and he stopped and looked back at her, that’s when I knew he wasn’t going to be some cliche douchebag. He was a goofy for caring about the fact that he was more on the popular side while she was more on the “nerd” side but then his sister put some sense in him and so he went to her house and called which I really liked. Now I wasn’t disgusted in the possibility that devi and ben would be together and end up together because ben is a nice guy and I can see that he cares for her but after watching season 2 it just made me more on team paxton because he’s always been there for her (not saying that ben hasn’t because he was there for her by letting her stay at his house and taking her to go spread her dads ashes and staying to make sure she was okay in season 1 and then he cheered her up in season 2 when she was crying in the bathroom so I’m not blind to the fact that he has helped and been there for her) but paxton has literally always been there for since season 1 like when he took her to the hospital because that coyote attacked her, when she made that rumor that him and her slept together and he didn’t tell anybody that it wasn’t the truth, and when he helped out the pool and took her home and listened to her talk about what was going on with her, and then in season 2 when he saw her crying and took her home even though he was still mad at her and he even forgave her for cheating on him. And I liked in season 2 that we got to see more of who paxton actually is and I loved his character development because it showed that he was more than just some popular jock. in season 2 they gave him personality, meaning, and more connection with devi. He changed a lot and not for devi but for himself and I liked that. I also liked that him and devi got to spend more time together because then she got to see that he was more than just some hot guy and because she got to see that that’s how she knew and had such confidence to tell him that he can do more and that she pushed him and also helped him to do better in school. And I liked that with them spending more time together paxton got to see more the “nerd” side of devi and saw that he too wanted to be good in school and even while doing that he got to learn about why devi was so good at school ( that one scene when they was in her room and her mom walked in and she told him that’s why she’s so good at school because she got two Indian women in her household to really push her). In season 2 paxton and devi learned more about each other, got closer, and built a really better connection so there could be a base and importance in there relationship. Devi and ben are cute and ben is a good guy but their relationship would be lowkey boring ( I know they be having some banter but it should be more than just lil sarcastic jokes) and to me they don’t have connection in all areas that they should have like her and paxton. And people keep saying that paxton is wrong for devi because he was embarrassed of her but let me break something down. He did care about that popular stuff in season 1 but then he said fu*k it and called her and then in season 2 they started dating (publicly because like they were literally flirting in front of everybody and he even kissed her IN PUBLIC when they were on that field trip.) now it was understandable that paxton didn’t want they relationship to be publicized when they got back together because he literally got publicly humiliated in front of everybody by finding out that she was cheating on him. He wasn’t embarrassed of her but he didn’t want to be looking like a fool again in front of everybody but in the end he got his sh*t together and realized that he would rather be with her than not. he’s actually really strong for even still being with her even after she had cheated on him and embarrassed him. So in conclusion I’m team paxton lmbo ◡̈

Devi has always loved Paxton, hell her password is even paxton69 lol. After a talk with her therapist/doctor later on, she was able to quickly fall out of “love” with Ben. Paxton has grown so much, and Devi was the one pushing him.

They are the perfect setup for an endgame. I mean popular boy x nerdy girl trope always plays out with the popular boy hesitating to take her out because of his friends. Besides Devi has f!cked up multiple times, both in s1&2. Also, Paxton isn't just the popular boy, he has so much more in him. Devi brings out the best in him. I was team Ben because they didn't even show Paxton's side of the story in s1 but after s2 I am Team Paxton. His storyline is a lot more relatable tbh. (Also because I am also asian, I could relate a lot to his family history) Don't mind either endgame but Daxton has the perfect mix of chemistry and writing. Benvi's writing is good but the chemistry just isn't there imo

I was all benvi last season, but this season I’m officially daxton! This season Paxton had a huge ARC. He worked SO HARD to fit to Devi’s standards even tho she always liked him. He also unlike Ben this season, learned to forgive and move on! Ben stayed angry at Devi this season and ended up losing her. Paxton forgave her for all the harm she did to him and moved on from the drama.

As a member of TEAM PAXTON/ TEAM DAXTON, I personally think the only reason Devi kissed Ben was that no one had stayed back for her, which is a lie since Paxton stayed whenever she was in a messy situation like coyote attack, Ben's party humiliation and so on....true Ben did good things for her like letting her stay in his house or recoiling her friendship with Fab and Eleanor but it was Paxton who saw and was with Devi when she was at her lowest.... both Ben and Paxton hated that they were 2 timed and were humiliated but while Ben immediately moved on after everything happened, Paxton did talk to her irrespective of the fact if he had forgotten Devi or not... and before we say that their life problems were different...let me remind you people that while Ben's parents had expectations from him, Paxton's family had none...Devi was the only one after his grandfather who motivated him to do his best in his school. When Devi got suspended, while ben dashed into her house and started accusing her of all the horrible things, it was Paxton who understood why she was angry because apart from both of them, even she was hurt the same amount yet she never showed it directly to anyone. Ben didn't care what Devi wanted to do in schools he wanted to be in lead academically but Paxton knew that either he was gonna be the same as Devi or a GPA before Devi but it didn't matter because whatever he achieved academically was all because of Devi. A mistake from Devi's side caused Ben to see only the worst in her and Paxton would also have done that but he knew that saying anything wouldn't change the fact that if he's a better person today, it's all because of Devi.

Devi and Paxton all the way! ❤️The way he looks at her. 😩 Even though she hurt him he can’t stay away from her, he likes her that much and yes he tried to get "revenge" by making her feel bad, but it was killing him inside because he wanted her back unlike Ben he treated her so bad this season I mean even on season one the way he talked to her, I absolutely hated it. I know he was hurt, but he went too far, even when she was sorry he kept rejecting her but when he sees her with Paxton he suddenly wants her back.🙄 she's honestly better with Paxton. The thing I loved the most in this season was Paxton’s character development, he changed for the better.😩❤️

Okay let’s be real honest here : Paxton has had amazing character development, and he has shown loyalty to Devi a few times : rescued her when the coyote beat her, saved her in the pool, been there for her when she was crying even after finding out about the cheating.. Ben on the other hand is the nemesis that everybody wants her to end with just because he has shown some jealousy at the end of season 2 and obviously people do root for him now. I can’t decide which of the 2 relation ship must stay a friends one and which must turn into a couple but I can assure you the producers want Devi and Ben to be endgame. It’s obvious. And if they don’t well great for us.

She is better with Ben as friends and thats it. They have a lot in common, but Paxton makes her a better person, she's happier with him. I feel like he really loves her and he changed a lot in this season. I hope they stay together :))

Watching the ending of this season 2… something is telling me that paxton and devi won’t be together at the end of season 3. When eleanor tells Ben how Devi was “in love” with him we see how Ben still loves her and how the creators left that for the final episode just to make you think that the devi+ben thing is not over yet. I really love Paxton development on this season, the best one, and i’ve always thought that devi and paxton are endgame, the true relationship of this tv show. I really wish I were wrong, but i’ll be so mad if Ben and Devi are back again in season 3… Paxton (and Devi) both deserve more. My opinion.

TEAM DAXTON FOREVER. i don’t get why anyone is team ben. honestly ben and devi are better off as friends. they spent their whole life competing and hating each other and now they grew to have normal conversation and help each other out. they should be working on being good friends not jumping into a whole relationship.
