Development of Bioplastics from Agricultural Waste

Tackling non-degradable plastic waster has until now been a fairly daunting task. But SPC Biotech found a rather unique solution. Bio conversion of a mango kernel into a bio degradable polyester and then bioplastic. SPC Biotech used agri-waste which is not fit for human consumption as basic raw material to produce bioplastics. The advantage of this green plastic is not just that it is environment friendly but that its availability at a low price could ensure its universal application.

This video was uploaded in 2012. There hasn't been any development ever since. Very little information about the company. No website. Strange.
