Developing A New Climbing Zone In Serbia || A World Less Traveled Ep.2

Спорт

The second stop of A World Less Traveled took us to Serbia, in October 2017. Our main goal was to help the community through clinics and slideshows, and also develop the route potential in Southern Serbia. With the help of our friends from Outdoor Collective, we settled down closed to Nis and developed a all new zone in the Sicevo gorge. This video summarises our 1st busy week in Belgrade, all the steps needed to develop a new area, from Tyrollean installing to roof bolting, as well as some of the most beautiful routes in the Jelanisca Gorge. Who said there is no climbing in Serbia ?!

If you want newly discovered, probably one of the few best climbing places in Europe 10 km long 300 m high rocks then research a bit about mountain Velež in my hometown Nevesinje.

@@onsight2822 Well I'm not an expert, I'm more of a speleology guy :D But many climbers who came here in the last 2 years, (before that no one cared about those huge rocks) have said that it is just amazing how many different routes one can make. There are easy ones and hard ones of course. There is also one route where you climb maybe 50m, and then get to a cave, then go through it and after that get out on a different place and continue climbing again.

@@onsight2822 Make sure to message me if you decide to come. I would like to welcome you and show you the place. Also, feel free to google it. It is called "Srce Veleži" or "Heart of Velež" translated. I will leave a link to one of the videos about it here. kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6OHpM-iiqfNk9I.html&ab_channel=EmbassyofSwitzerlandinBosniaandHerzegovina

You will have trouble getting to Australia right now. You will likely be having to buy business class seats, something Australian returnees stuck in Europe and elsewhere are having to do, or wait indefinitely.
