Don't forget PoE have server and lag issues. So, with cross play, the problem will be doubled.

@@LVHAXOR316 Jonathan clarified that it was taken from BG3. And yes, such a feature did not appear in LE 1st - they also added it under the inspiration of other games. Surprise surprise, but such a thing appeared in other games long before LE and BG3.

I believe the help system already states Nearby is within something like 2 meters. Within arm's reach.

According to GGG the term "nearby" has no specific meaning, it just means that the range is not infinite. But they have been putting numbers on more and more skills so I'm hoping that the term will just not exist in POE 2.

This brings back so many memories! As a kid I used to couch co-op random video games after school with friends and it was so fun. Really happy this has been added as an option! GGG JUST DOESN'T MISS.

I don't think it is yet, but they might add it later? You'd need controllers though, it's not like you can use 2 mice and 2 keyboards.

@@HDJess Yes you can. All modern KbM are universally plug and play. Each device has a unique hardware identifier so it's just a matter of assigning each device to a player to split hardware input. Even still, making at least 1 controller mandatory for PC couch coop only would still be a fine compromise.

Wonderful update! I can't wait to play this with the pops. He loved other rpg's couch co-op.

2k plus hours on PoE1 PC and I'm ecstatic to play on controller or hop on my PS5. This is all i ever wanted for a console port. Edit: Add cross-progression to PoE1 as well pretty please.

My problem is that all those hours will poof as soon as something happens with the servers. I need an offline play mode where I can keep the saves, otherwise this game won't interest me :/

The servers can't handle real ARPG action, my modded TL2 has a lot more enemies and bosses on a map than in POE, there are a lot more bosses and in some places even in 2 or 3 versions so it becomes really difficult to defeat them. PoE can't come close to keeping up and poses no challenge at all for me

You can tell the developers and programmers actually love playing games and they are not just doing this for the ‘business’. The passion and motivation really shines through

Viewing your character in zoomed in full size in character selection and inventory screen is so amazing and I missed it so much in poe.

the problem with tiwn stick is that you can't push most of the buttons while aiming/moving, hopefully autoaim and targetlocking can eleviate most of the pain

I'm happy I'm not the only one saying that. Dual stick sounds like a bad idea, but I really hope the game turns out to be good. Personally I think it falls under fixing what isn't broken//bloat.

@@chuckles9767 I suppose I can understand that for HCSSF, which I do not play myself. However, having to face the direction you want to block with your shield is completely unnecessary. In arpg's you get swarmed. Although in poe you should also be nuking the screen. Having to go back and forth with your right thumb is going to be worse than the problem that you describe, due to reduced attack, & potion time.. - in my opinion. I never once even thought about that in poe, personally. Arpg's have never had or needed that feature. Atleast none that I've played. We should have the ability to toggle that on or off because it isn't applicable to every build and I genuinely don't believe in endgame content that will be efficient whatsoever. Now, I hope you're right and it works better than I'm fearing it will.

I haven’t played pc but I’m fine with it on ps5. Button mapping is clearly highlighted and stash tabs help with inventory management with affinities setup

As an old man whos been playing rpgs for decades, I cant understate how huge it is for these games to be coop, my bro i grew up with lives a few hundred miles away, and coop games, 'hanging out' and talking, playing these games online has meant the world to us.

I’m the same I always found it disheartening over the years seeing less and less coop games especially when some would come out that just seemed to suit it so well but didn’t bother to make coop a feature … in a similar sense local multiplayer has become less commonplace in modern games aswell and I’d love to see local multiplayer and coop make a comeback.. so many great memories are made this way it’s one of the best gaming experiences you can have imo and should be more commonplace in the games of today.. this game looks great I can’t wait to get into it with my close ones, super siked they went this direction with poe2 I’m sure many a fun time will be had

​@@ArizonaBeyblade windup or speed does not matter if the game is balanced around not having powercrept speed modifiers stacked on top of each other. If the skills feels impactful in terms of animation and damage to counter the "lack of speed", it's perfect.

I was waiting to know whether the couch co-op and controller interface was going to be on PC too and I was surprised to know it was. Quite excited about it and keep up the good work!

this is awsome i started this game on the pc but love to use the controller when i just want to kick back and relax. throw on the projector steam remote play this from a device in another room is where this game shines. WELL DONE and Thank you for bringing this back since alot of other games no longer do this.

Looks great, although I hope that in solo play it'll also be possible to choose the panel version of the inventory. For me personally it's much more convenient and kinda more natural than the fullscreen menu 😌
