Maybe it's because of the video bitrate and similar settings, you can try the 4 pre-made options in the settings like high quality vid and small size or very high quality vid and big size for example, it records better that way(at least for me). There are also a few games where it just doesn't work well like cyberpunk 2077(something I've yet to finish because I want to stream it. Lol)

I see, thanks, I'll give it a try. I sometimes record with fraps. Though it's kinda ancient, it works best in my case. But file sizes are huge. Good luck with cyberpunk 2077! Have to try it myself sometime

@@IrrationalDelusion yup, there's a problem in that one though that Jensen has a slight blur in his eye after doing a takedown and it doesn't look very good so I'll have to think a way around that

How many tries did it take? Did you setup mouse macros? What's a tip to play like this?

Quite a lot, each video is done in a few segments(9 in this one) and each takes different amount of tries, for example the 3rd one where Adam enters the bank and which lasts till he gets to the second floor was the hardest and that itself took about 30 tries, and the overall video has about a 100. When a segment is done I save and reload for it to get the next segment right and in the end edit all the segments to make it look like a smooth run. Nope, I don't use mouse macros but I have two of the augmentations - icarus dash and slow time bound to the side mouse buttons so they're easy to reach to. A couple things I would suggest is to do every quest and points of interest missions to get the most exp and hence praxis so that you can unlock every augmentation, get the crafting part dismantling aug and dismantle every common gun you come across so that you could craft enough tesla, nanoblade, typhoon ammo and biocells. And get the icrush dash and remote hacking first so that you could get practice with them since they're a bit hard to get used to. That's it for me, thanks for watching!!

Getting runs like this done in one try is impossible, I had tried that with my first dxmd vid of Utelek a couple years back on my ps4 and there was always a small thing I messed up each time, from the icarus dash not targeting the right location to me missing the nanoblade aim. The worst ones were where I'd gone almost to the end but messed up an action there, I was able to get that far just 4 times I think. You can even read the description of that video where I detailed how hard this strategy was and how many months it took. There was a video of stealthgamerbr where someone pointed out a smooth transition, it's around 9:03 of this vid: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fo6urs-Hk7eYorA.html 47 takes cover and stealthgamerbr opens the inventory, the moment the inventory's closed there's an extra layer of music added to what was playing before, this is because that moment was saved and reloaded bit it didn't look like there was any change because the scene of 47 taking cover there doesn't have any dynamic things like an npc walking or a plant's leaves going with the flow of the wind(which would've made the editing cut noticeable), it's just a stationery wall, a door and 47, and saving and reloading ends up with the exact same scene with no difference. The only difference is the audio can't be edited in the same way and the audio is not the exact same after reloading/editing cut. I'm not saying that it's bad thing, hell if there was no system like that these videos just won't be possible. These games also have rng and sometimes even when you do things right the npc's don't react the same way and ruin the run, like in this vid when Jensen was on the second floor and shoots the glass before icarus dashing the guard inside it, there were so many times when the guard won't react to the distraction and after breaking the glass he would detect Jensen immediately for some reason. However this doesn't make recording these videos easy at all, you still have to record and reload hundreds of times and it takes a lot of time to make them. All of this talk about a gameplay video sounds a bit crazy but I'm happy to let this out cause its very tough lol, and thank y'all so much for watching them.

How do you assign more than 5 augs simultaneously to hotkeys? Mod?

You can do so, on PC. On consoles/controllers, in the default settings you can assign only four augs, but on different settings you can assign five in them too.

What kind of specs does your computer have to get this game to run this smooth?

My PC specs are: RX 580 8gb Graphic card Ryzen 7 2700 CPU 16gb ddr4 ram And of course MSAA off cause that's a performance killer. Though it does struggle in a few areas of the game like London and A Criminal Past dlc, I'm having trouble making a vid on the latter because the fps is all over the place 😳

That is magnificent! I wish I could have done this as well but my greed for batteries makes me reconsider my priorities. Even though I am familiar with most of mechanics. But what I really want to ask-is there a reason why you’re using both icarus dash and peps aug on single enemy? I mean, is it just for fun or what? Either way, your job is excellent! Both, Lancer rifle is lethal whereas tesla is non lethal for example

yes, along with a few other locations I've not done yet. There's a problem with criminal past tho, that the screen becomes blur for a second after using takedowns and a few other augmentations and another problem is not having enough praxis points for all augs. I'm looking for a way over this but it'll be out at some point
