Funny seeing how it changed, things like the aug menu.
That terminal animation at 0:39 tho
I wish they would have kept the HUD like this. This looks much better than the ingame one :(
What did you think compared to the first one?It seems it sooo much closer to that than invisible wars was
This has the kind of "back to the roots" feeling all over it + kick ass extras. Two words - MUST HAVE!!!
So, it's finally time to experience this masterpiece
this game looks freaking amazing! i just found out about it and i think that a movie should be made or even a series about this game! so freaking epic
@MissGirlFactor no, you play in first person, when you go into cover it goes into 3rd person mode, but as soon as you come out of cover it goes back to first person
And the physics engine, mission mechanics, stealth system (the only thing they have in common are takedowns and turning invisible), are all different. And in Deus Ex you don't have to kill a single person (except bosses if you don't have the dlc).
0:04, reminds me of that city in Final Fantasy 7
1:20 "Remember JC, a non-lethal take-down is always the most silent approach"
0:42 THAT SCREAM FROM DOOM 2 ! :D
looks damn fun, my only gripes with it are that the graphics seem occasionally spotty (not really a problem for me) and the interface looks like it could either be really good or really bad. Really looking forward to this though. :)
@lilCaucasian Kind of a sequel. Technically a prequel, the story happens 20+ years before the first game. The first is simply Deus Ex. Invisible War was its successor.
how do you get the the the thing that shows how much ammo u got next to the pistol in 0:21
@CarbonBasedAndroid This is actual gameplay, with a few cinematic cuts. Like when the guards are walking around etc..
@manchesteralltheway The cloaking system for Crysis and DX both works the same way, by refracting light. You can go on the augmentation menu in-game and select "Glass Shield Cloaking System" and it tells you how it "works".
I wish the HUD was more like this.
and by the way, eidos montreal is making the game, eidos is only making the pre-rendered cinematic
@RalphCQ thanks for letting me know, I never new there were mods to enhance visuals for the first game. I was reluctant to play the first in the series becuase of the outdated graphics
its not litrrially glass, thats just a cool name. Basically its a shield that allows light to travel through it rather than bend around it, hence why it doesn't set off the laser wire.
The cloak mode in this game is called "Glass Shield" and uses metamaterials to bend light around the wearer, making them invisible to visual detection and also allowing them to walk through lasers. There's you answer.
igual aqui, cual tienes?, de q consola?
reminds me of that movie equilibrium with gun kata :)
I wish I could get the music from the beginning of the trailer :(
Interesting. Looks very simplistic yet also very complicated at the same time.... It's looking good. Shall be checking this one out.
@rekunta this is a sequal?? whats the original called?
What is the name of the opening song?
@sologuy56 August 2011 according to its Steam store page.
The first one was one of the best ps2 games I've ever played, and this one looks like it's gonna be amazing....
I prefer this trailer’s version of the ammo count on the gun rather than on the retinal hud.
@KakashiKyle9 shouldnt it be like mass effect + deus ex 2000 (the original)
It would be nice if they put a button to change cameras for 3rd person to 1st:)
sounds track is right on form too!
I'm thinking of getting Deus Ex but just wondering, is this game meant to be stealth based/?
@colonel900 Wasn't the original for this game made before MGS?
I didnt know the laser gun can pass through walls. Dayum lol. Its laser hahahaha how did i not see that logic hahahaha
@jasper561996 That's because he's the augmented one, not the suit.
Reminds me of James Bond: Nightfire that game was an epic stealth fps
@razer2haxor This is Deus Ex 3, dude. It was announced before both those games and the first one came out in 2000.
@RogueCrockett it is one of the few games that try to immerse you by giving you options, great music and a good story. Unlike the other arcade shooters today.
1:33 I never succeeded in doing this Takedown.
Yeah. Almost. The game is a masterpiece of storytelling and world-building.
Huh, I got reminded of Perfect Dark for some reason. Only it's Deus Ex. With an Exp system. And lots of augments. And upgrades.
@b1gbudda Yeah, obviously there's no strictly set time, but those were the (roughly) average times of the testers.
I just assumed the security system pre-set the lasers so it it memorizes all the objects already in the room, so they won't trigger the alarm. Only way to trigger it is something that wasn't previously recorded, such as an intruder.
@kebbun1 how can you compare the two!?
umm wen dus dis come out or is it out already
Is that rifle that shoots through walls towards the end the laser rifle? I only ask because I haven't found anything like it in-game yet.
It's like a reimagined "GoldenEye" or something. Very cool
@ArmanCortez1 nano augs is nt just a theory u can see bob page having nano augs in DXHR trailer
its the GlassShield augmentation. therefore you can go through lasers undetected.
Did those screens do that in the final version? I don't think they did, that stretch animation looks kind of goofy.
Star Wars+Resident evil+Timesplitters+James Bond in an awesome mash-up!
It's interesting how many little tweaks they made since this with the hacking, augs and inventory.
@manchesteralltheway It could potentially work if the cloak worked by means of refracting the original light source around the subject rather than attempting to take pictures; but I know what you're getting at.
@chazkm I think he mean MGS4, not sure though
Oh just hurry and come out already. I've been waiting years for this :( EPIC

So how was it

Lol
@PWNJoker No, it just knocks him off his feet for a second. You can see him clambering back up again.
reminds me of a high tech souped up bioshock in some areas in a good way
I really need to get on playing the original Deus Ex so I can get hyped for this game. Looks like it's gonna be good.
@Willsuitt1 yes....its 2027, nano tech in 2057 (deus ex 1) was still in its infancy as only JC and Paul were prototypes for nano augmentation in UNATCO intially. At this point, mechanical augmentation seems to be cutting edge, and nano tech is just theory. Side note....boy we have A LOT of catching up to do if we are going to have this tech by 2027, its frigging 2011, my grandpa was told we would have flying cars by 2000....so i ask, where is my frigging flying car and sky house lol.
Looks so freaking cool! I just wish it could be as good as the first.
If only the action would have been that great to perform
@GrizzlerBorno I'm betting they allow us HUD color customization like they did in Deus Ex. So aside from the tanish haze over the game world at least our HUD would be a change of pace..but then maybe it would affect the whole game world, who knows.
@jasper561996 Yeah, the guy in the video IS the suit. Well, not really, just his arms.
@KakashiKyle9 i'd have to agree.
@KakashiKyle9 Deus Ex was around long before Mass Effect.
Orange glare simulator 2015
@laielliisrandom hmmmmm you might be right. I mean how can I compare the two? Both games are first person shooters, sci-fi genre. set in the future.
soundtrack sounds pretty good
Will I need to know anything about the previous game/games in order to play this? Cuz this looks really fuckin cool
@chenoir I think so
looks great, could be a gameplay funfest
This looks quite a bit different than the full product,actually looks quite cool :D wonder why they cut it.
and by the way, eidos montreal is making the game, eidos is only making the pre-rendered cinematics
If this game plays anything like its previous ones made 10th years, inparticular Deus Ex invisible being one of the most engaging games I've ever played, then this is a must have square enix title.
i have the first on the original xbox wow i never think they gonna make another one but its really cool
The biotic powers are what make it great, I think.
Pitchard is Otacon basically
@videogamer54 What do you mean by that? MGS and Deus Ex are very different games.
@scienceguy8 There's probably going to be an acheiv for not augmenting past your manatory awesome arms
@animemax1511 Indeed. Deus Ex came before all those others. This sequel seems to be trying to really capture what was so fantastic about the original. From what I read - it does that and then some. I CAN'T WAIT :D.
@kingnichendrix same
@LuffyGears2 A) Square Enix is only the publisher, not the developer. B) Have you played any of the other Deus Ex games?
@chenoir LEt's just say it's a FPS version of MGS :D
Any idea roughly the length of this game? is it a long game?
@asimumer9474

Yes it's a long game
@KevinLounsberry If they put the camera directly behind and a bit above your character, your character blocks your view but you can see straight. If they put it on your shoulder, you'll never be facing what's directly in front of your character and you'll always be seeing more of one side than the other side. Every shooter in third person is ruined by being in third person. hacknslash games I guess are okay in third person though, since you only need to attack in general directions.
My God, I can't wait to play this game...
@jerotheBIG I meant MW 3 xD
@marinos3flash Have you finish the game or at least played it yet? The story, will change you forever.
I hope my PC can run this as well as it looks in the trailer...would really hate to have to play it on my PS3 or 360 like I had to with Dragon Age.
@rekunta the only thing that didnt make it 100% was jensens voice actor :P idk
TOTALLY WORTH IT! I bought the game a few weeks ago and I barely knew it, I didnt regret a bit!
@regispaul maybe you need upgrade for your eyes...
@sephyr242 fine....my grandpa was told that we would all have our very own personal VTOL like aircraft, that would be small enough to fit in your garage and easy enough to drive that the driving(piloting in this case) age would still be 16. Also it would be cheap(like Toyota car cheap) and mass produced(like one for every family in the US). I don't think that a 747 qualifies here :)
@bigcheese601 imo, the only games that should bee in third person are side scrollers and RTS. Which makes you feel more like you're in the game, being behind your character, or seeing out of your character's eyes? There are always camera issues with third person games too. You can cheat and see behind corners, and your view gets blocked by random crap.
should i get this for PC or Console?
wow huge weapon wheel.
