I don't think so at all. It's an enjoyable game. It's in the unfortunate position of being the direct sequel to one of the most exalted games ever created. I would say it's just a subpar Deus Ex game.

Anyone else noticed the Deus Ex Games had a tint to the environment? Deus Ex was like dark blue, Deus Ex: INVISIBLE WAR was purple, & Deus Ex: HUMAN REVOLUTION is yellow?

Amongst other reasons, HR was tinted to avoid purple at all costs in the same vein that SJW cucks avoid using pronouns that could possibly, conceivably, hypothetically be taken in offence by some snowflake.

gtas321 I first played it on my original xbox. I thought it was interesting enough compared to other FPS games that I've played like Goldeneye and Halo. Later on, I picked up Deus Ex 1 and 2 when I got a decent enough PC to play them. I actually feel that my enjoyment of Invisible War diminished after playing through the original games. I wouldn't go as far to say it was a bad game, but it's not as great as the two games that came before it. I actually went through a similar thing with the Thief games as well. I played Deadly Shadows on my xbox and then bought the first two games for my PC when I heard that DS was the third game in a franchise.

I appreciated the inclusion of the original games into this trailer. Really good stuff.

Deus Ex 1 and 2 would need remastering, then. They wouldn't simply run while still using an old engine designed for ancient PCs and the new PS2.

I want that artwork of JC floating like a god as a wallpaper.

Would be interesting to see an animated Deus Ex side story in the same vein as the Animatrix.

I'm hoping this Adam Jensen storyline meets JC Denton. I can see this happening, because Human Revolution is set in 2027 (I believe) so Mankind Divided shouldn't be too far apart in the year. Original Deus Ex is set in 2055, where augmentations are covered with skin, and the generation Adam Jensen is in they haven't invented the technology for that yet. After Mankind Divided or a few more sequels I hope they connect the two together somehow, because I'm sure the developers will add the skin augmented technology on the next few sequels.

John McSayer no, thats gunther. JC isnt a mech so he doesnt have prostetics and metal parts but nano augments other than that he is pure flesh like any normal human except he is the evolution

John McSayer in area 51 they can speed up the growth and it could be that they augmented him when he reached a certain amount of "age". Idk about the random clone tho, he kinda looks like gunther to me

It would be interesting if the next Deus Ex, dealt with Adam facing obsolescence with the introduction of the Nanoaugmented Cyborgs, who are better accepted by society. Getting caught up in the divide between them and Mech's, like Gunthur and Anna Navarre, where in the first game. Neatly tieing the prequel series to the original. Maybe even doing so by facing off against JC Denton in one ending.

An idea for the IW - keep up the universal ammo, but only for the Mako Ballistics weapons and weapons of brands, affiliated with it, while some unique weapons (Laser Rifle from the HR, for instance, found in some ancient safe) will use their own ammo.

this will connect at some point with the current world we live in

Paul was born sometime around MD, so he might not appear until after Jensen's reached 40+

I thought this was announcing a release of the first 2 games. I never played the first and only a demo of invisible war.

Considering Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, i have to wonder if the original Deus Ex needs to be rebooted so as to retroactively include characters from those games.

NO. The prequels needs to rebooted if anything because they're starting to veer off course from the continuity of the first game. Now with that said, I would love an updated, remastered DX1 game that would use alot of the game mechanics and augs from the prequels. Well, minus the cancerous takedowns and regen health because those seriously are not needed in this game. That and maybe update some of the data readers to fill in the blanks about characters like Adam Jensen since that would be a really nice way to connect the games together..
