Thank you and the people you work with for all your hard work and dedication to bring a sport like supercross indoors. Without people like you, it doesn't happen so again thank you!
That wore me out just watching, the amount of work and effort that goes into set up and tear down is insane! Great work guys
I work at Ford Field and see the prep that goes into creating the track. Come Monday morning when I come in though, all the dirt is gone. It's fascinating how you get the dirt out so fast. This gave me good insight into the load out that I don't see, because I work weekdays. Nice work.
Thanks for essentially replying to my comment with a video. I was always curious about how the final load out & clean up worked, now that I’ve actually seen the process it makes total sense. Great video!
Living the dream man living the dream. Motorcross dirt baike& most important thing is the heavy equipment.LOL... I'm a small business owner I have three dump trucks single axles and three skid steers and one mini & couple tractors. People don't understand why we do what we do its because we love the work.

Please bring back the vids this year please 🤣🤣 my son and I love to watch y’all’s work it helps us with our little track we got for him he’s finally learning how to operate the skid steer and build his own ramps
I like the longer videos.. Showing your day to day routine and everything that goes with it! Another great video guys.
I love these videos. Interesting seeing all the before race and after race stuff that goes on. Interesting how the play is layed. Was wondering for a while but makes sense now. Good job, keep them coming

Always wanted to see this process and now I have, thanks Dirt Wurx. Surgical like precision on them bucket controls.
As always another vlog that’s on fleek. Keep them coming.

Thank you for all your hard work - so that we can watch dirt bikes race!

Love the videos im a new subscriber to the channel. Man it's freaking awesome you get to build these race
Have only just come across you channel but these vlogs are great, keep up the good work
Great video. How about making a video of the transformation from the pro level track to the one used for the amateur day?
Get better mann. Nothing like workin hard while sick🤪. Love the tunes.
HOPE YALL ARE MAKING VIDEOS FOR 2020!!! Can't wait for A1 build and haul out!!
Dam........You guys bust it!!! Great work and thanks for giving us a look at how it’s done.
We appreciate all the hard work guys, thanks.
I always wondered how this was done! Awesome video especially right outta my local city! Subscribing for sure
Just started following DW. Great work team!
You guys should do like a Q&A type thing about cost of equipment and where you get your dirt from and like how it all comes together from that sense how many guys on the road ..how long before a show are you guys setting up how long does it take to setup/breakdown ...how fast are you guys on to the next city ..how long are you guys on the road at a time that kinda stuff ...I think the content is great but once ya seen it once ya seen it 1000 times with all due respect I think it'd be cool to see how you guys stay solvent ..just an idea

Awesome keep the longer videos coming
Very much appreciate your videos. 👍👏
Great video! Hope you feel better!
Best load out video you’ve done yet. You should do more like these. And can you do some more excavator shots?
thats a lot of work man looks fun wish i was doing that
Another great video!
As a long time operator myself, I always wondered about the dirt in stadiums and if it were a traveling dedication or a local "subbed out" situ. Hm., Interesting. 🤘
I was there and was curious how you did the cleanup. Thanks for posting🤠
Was there last week for Monster Jam... Had allot of fun!
Only complaint i have is that the vids arent longer, good job and thanks for the content!
I know it’s tough but can you make the vids longer? I love seeing more of the load out time lapses and the track building time lapses! There awesome👏🤘
Love the videos. Can you show how you guys make the dragons back? Loved seeing how whoops are made.
that Juliana daniell shot on the way by lol
Big machines... 😎 Props from The UK 🇬🇧
Question.... which pieces of equipment do you rent locally vs which do you move from venue to venue?
How much dirt makes it through the plywood? Do you have to clean the turf once the plywood is up? Great work, love the channel!
@ToastyOats716
5 жыл бұрын
Just Kuz I’d assume quite a bit gets through the plywood, especially when they pull it up. But stadiums have turf cleaners. They’re like a massive vacuum cleaner with bristles
@Scott-Ferguson
5 жыл бұрын
Just Kuz There is a layer of plastic sheeting beneath the plywood to protect against dirt getting into the turf.
nice video bud !
This is so rad
Awesome.
Very cool...
Do they store the same dirt off site for future events or is it new dirt every time at each venue?
Very cool, where do you store the dirt and plywood?
I'm assuming the plywood is the most labor intensive part, putting down and peeling up. I'm amazed it doesn't buckle under the weight of the machines, is 1" or greater ?
Next time you're in Detroit, we have a few trucks we would love to throw in to help get some of that dirt out!
That would be so bad ass to follow around the super cross series building the tracks.
Dirt wurx Alex when you guys load out how are you not pulling sheets up plywood up when ur scooping up the dirt? I know you have the smooth blade on the buckets but still seams like it would b easy to hook a seam or lip and lift the sheets. Do you guy steak them down somehow or...?
@crispy8329
5 жыл бұрын
Looks like the skill of the operator is what prevents the plywood from being lifted.
@danlarkey2799
5 жыл бұрын
crispy83 that plays a roll but the plywood isn’t on a perfectly flat surface one side will sit higher then the others and not matter how good the operator is he’ll snag a corner and lift a sheet and even if it was on a flat surface and unfastened plywood still warps so it must be fastened down or something idk that why I directed the question at the guy who posted the video not another person to speculate on it thanks for the input tho
@coreyarnold4949

@tjdougherty4136

Dan Larkey if you have the bucket angled out fully and drag it on the ground it shouldn’t really grab the edges of the boards when your dragging it he prob makes sure he doesn’t scoop where he knows there will be a seam in order to avoid catching one
@tjdougherty4136
5 жыл бұрын
Dan Larkey if you look he raises the bucket up as he scoops so it doesn’t catch
would go crazy with the beep beeep beeep
Are you using Go Pro's? how do you deal with the short battery lifes if you are?
Loved how whats his name got busted during Chad Reeds interview after the first main on track ... Looks up and see's the camera and quickly pretends his not there and shuffles off looking the other way HA hahaha .. Tell him I busted him .. haha Nice job guys , Alex
How many ton or cubic yards of material do they use for a track like that?
@americaproud9344

Ya i want to know also
Is the plywood 3/4 tung and groove? How many sheets roughly?
@coreyarnold4949
5 жыл бұрын
Regular plywood. Around 6000 sheets.
Yup. Rest..fun jobs still take work and skill.
does the dirt travel or is it always locally sourced
I wonder what the differences are between 966m and 966k. We use the k’s at my work and idk the difference
Where the hell does the dirt come from and what do ya do with it?! Yes I probably missed something about it... but I’m just curious.
@bjgarbacz1

Me too lol
How much to build a track that size? Maintenance cost?
Do you have any hydraulic problems with the 325 excavator
How many truck loads was that?
Is the pipe used as conduit for a/v cable and power?
@bearmims6717
5 жыл бұрын
a few things i assume, lap times in segments im sure as well as power and other cables
I wanna know what's the process of once all the dirt it out. What it takes to return the stadiums to there original condition? Meaning that there is no trace of that there was a dirt fill track in the stadium.
@ChuckBeefOG

The concrete floor is covered with plywood before the dirt is brought in, they clean the mud off the wood, then pick up the plywood and give the concrete a quick sweep and tomorrow it can be a hockey rink.
How many tracks have y’all done?
What editing software do you use?
Scrape with the Excavator. I always thought the Front End Loader did that.
@jaimieboy999

You thought wrong my friend, too easy for the loader to fuck up the plywood.
Who do u contact to get on with you guys for hauling the dirt I have dump trucks and dump trailers

How many hours a week y'all put in usually?
@rossblankenship8239

Nic Robertson depends on if the dirt is already in or not, and if we have to load all of it out, and depends on weather. Typically 65+ hr work weeks
There is something satisfying watching a track be built and then torn down. Who came up with the idea to add an extra scraper blade on the excavator bucket? Does the constant go go go make it where you miss out on the fun of playing in the dirt like a little child?
Feel better
Man I must say you know how to operate an excavator. I would have never believe how clean you got that plywood from the removal of all that dirt if I hadn't seen it on video.What do they do with the dirt just take it to a dump site and keep it till they need it the next time?
Where do i get this job 👀👀
how do i get this job? it seems better than bailing in muck.
I want ur job that would b a dream job to have building tracks n get to watch the races as well winnin without the hiv🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

How did you get the plywood so clean & then does it get reused & transported too? Just figuring the cost of the plywood alone.. You would think eventually they will get logistics smarter & not criss-cross the country. MN-Dal-Det-Atl makes no sense.

knights518 Ford Field hosts, as I'm sure most stadiums do, events even during the week. A lot of them being on-field. If they wanted to keep the dirt on field, I'm sure they'd have to pay for the venue for those days. With 2 weeks in between the Supercross and Monster Jam, it is probably cheaper to move the dirt that 4 times than pay for 14 days. My company's office is in Ford Field so I see all the events they set up for. It's all fun to watch.
@danielparraz1155
5 жыл бұрын
That was my first thought - your logistics folks need to take a look at the costs of this activity, which seems like a total waste of money to move dirt several times in a quarter or less. Schedule like events, and you wouldn't have to move thousands of yards of soil, which is expensive.
@mattbman
5 жыл бұрын
@@danielparraz1155 these costs are typically passed on to the event organizers anyway, I don't think it's going to affect the bottom line of Ford Field, having seen the background logistics of even a small arena for basketball/hockey/concerts, sometimes hindsight is 20/20
You guys do not get enough credit
