I lived just east of this ( North End ) from 1982 renting for 2 years in a beautiful duplex them the owner offered to sell to me ( 8,000 ) I loved stayed THERE even though it was still going though a decline… sold it for FAR less than it was worth …. ( 40,000 ) Taking the FIRST OFFER ( bad idea ) they sold it a year and a 1/2 later for $133,000 with little change to the building, It then sold for $ 420 after a complete renovation it last sold for 440,000 whew . Talk about increasing values !

New Center is its own neighborhood. It’s not Boston Edison or Arden Park. This history is incorrect.
