I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How some "analyst" could say "another year missing the playoffs" after the poor kids biggest moment in his life so far. Don't know how a draft pick brought that sentence on either. So weird.

@@patrickgaughan1199 How tf can you possibly say he "fumbled" the pick? He was literally just drafted and you're basically deeming him a bust already. Who did you want? Let me guess, Eiserman, what all the twitter scouts wanted to happen because of his name and he scored a decent amount of goals. The kid reportedly had character issues according to his own coach at the development program. He doesn't play defense either. He could grow, but MBN is a big strong scoring power forward. We don't need any more wimpy little middle sixers at 15 ovr.

When I saw Stevie, Drapes and Lidstrom huddle together before the pick..it almost made me feel like Im watching mob bosses🤣 Brought me back to my childhood, and gave me so much pride.

Only commenting for the algorithm...you rock Awood!

Side note: The 3 guys (5, 33, 19) is about the best 5v3 PK team you can ask for.

Max Plante could be a steal. Late riser, and getting taller. Playmaking center. Looks like he is listed as a winger

Give them about a B - MBN is a bulwark type who has a 200 ft responsible game. Second line would be an optimal outcome, I think he has more development to come with his skating and working close around the net which he may be pretty good at with the correct coaching. He said likes to get under the skin of other players. Adding more heady players but not game breakers nor roster changers even trying to trade up for a blockbuster trade.

@awood40. I have a video request that you could maybe do. Could you do us scoring empty net goals when we were down and are goalie was pulled?? (Ex: you would end it with David Perrons goal against Montreal this past year) even tho you know prob what I’m talking about

@@billdoty6438 yeah but for decades it was hard to get free agents here or stay here. Most kids who grow up playing hockey dream to play for the wings.

I watched this live on ESPN and hearing John Buccigross proclaim "they're going to miss the playoffs again" because the Red Wings didn't select the pick on his list is not only extremely unprofessional, but completely ignorant of the impact any of these kids will have on any team next year. I don't see GMs or owners knocking on Bucci's door to scout or make draft picks for their teams at ANY level. And for god sakes, stop saying "twisted wrister." Come up with new material or better yet, go back to the 80s when you were relevant. I like the picks and I'm surprised there weren't more trades up or down between teams. Monday is going to be an interesting day for sure.

Nill was the best of the 3 GM’s we had in the early 2000’s in that management group, I would love him back

Eiserman was seen as self centered and not a system player. He also is not a 200ft forward. He fell a ton, most in recent memory for the lottery era.

I agree we need skill. But they obviously have a 200ft player bias and what wins you playoff games? 4 lines of solid two way players that can also score is a good way to build it.

We don't need a lazy one-track minded player like Connor, Austin or any other "star". That skill gets you nowhere in the long run. We need two-way players who can score but also back-check their butt off and pound you to the ice. That wins championships.

As I have said multiple times on other channels this team drafts horribly after the 1st round. Draper was the reason as head scout, then he got promoted? Really it is a make or break scenario to find hidden gems in every draft for the rebuild. So far Carter Mazur is all they have to show for it and he probably is a 3rd liner. Dylan James most likely will not be signed, Buchelnikov apparently likes Russia.

@@ericscottstevensfor Russian prospects, they will sign if guaranteed NHL minutes. He is not gonna come over to AHL, he might make more money staying in the KHL. He will come over when he is ready, hopefully in 2-3 more years
