Chloe is very well made. I like that they made her instead of some sort of loading screen that just has the name of the game on it.

To me, the game wouldn't be the same without her. Im glad to have let her go in the end, but the fact how she interacts as if she is really there moved me so much. I thank so much for games, but this game will have a special place for me.

Aikiu Anonymous I can relate. Honestly, video games were my escape from my fucked-up family situation too. You’re not alone, guys. I had to move out when I was 15. Be strong, and try to get out of there when the opportunity arises. 🌺 There’s crisis centers, help hotlines and programs for people like you. Depending on what’s happening at home, you can reach out for help. Don’t be afraid to do some research if it’s that bad, you might need to. Remember you’re not alone, there’s many out there going through the same thing.

I actually kinda love how they made Chloe. Shes like an Android in your own home but not physically there.

Instead of paying stupid amounts of money for a therapist just get Detroit become human, the main screen has a fake robot who is more concerned about you that anyone you’ll ever know, Example, if you stay up playing late and then come on again Chloe will ask you if you get enough sleep. She will ask you if you’re ok and will admit sometimes things are bad but you have to power through it. A fake robot in a game is more concerned about my problems than my family, really makes ya think.

Im glad yall added the parts with her being disappointed in you from letting the androids die. The last compilation missed it.

The hopelessness Chloe exhibits after Marcus died crushed my soul.

I really hope that they will make a patch that will take notice of things on your PS account, that way if its your birthday and you boot up Detroit, Chloe will say "Happy Birthday" and have a special message

When I went into Detroit today, and the menu loaded, Chloe's LED blinked red a few times, then she said "Oops, I think your saved game might be corrupted." And I started to freak out, and try and figure out how it could be currupt, then she said "Just kidding!" And I _died_

Chloe: Are we friends? Of course! Chloe: Great! ...Oops, I think your saved game is corrupted. ... Chloe: Just kidding! We're no longer friends.

Her facial expressions are so subtle, yet so perfect, especially since I noticed she starts looking more worried as you progress the game.

I like the expressions on her face especially when she's happy, sad or concern about something. ^_^

You forget the option where Cyberlife asking you for a new free chloe after let her go

Chloe is probably my favorite feature of this game. Her as the main menus character is a fucking cool idea.

I finished my first playthrough in two sittings and allowed her to leave afterwards, so I didn't get much of a chance to hear her lines. Thank you for sharing this!

The time they spent on making such a unique main menu screen is probably the same as the time spent on average to make an indie game lol had the best experience of my life playing this game

"maybe we should leave things as they are" when i first got this because im a stubborn ass and kept screwing up this one part that is the moment i realized the team who made this game is full of GENIUSES

I appreciate that this game makes you feel like your choices actually have consequences. a lot of choice based games struggle with this (life is strange is a good example. I love that game, but it really lacks in that department) but not Detroit. It reminds me a lot of Undertale in the sense that it makes you feel REALLY guilty when you make a bad decision.

So far in any of the “all Chloe dialog” videos don’t have one that I got. I played til maybe 10:30-11:00pm and then I got back on the next morning and I wasn’t really thinking about it but I just clicked continue as soon as she started dialog. She said “So you played til late last night...” and then I didn’t hear the rest

I only went to the main menu once in the beginning, and then again after. She asked if she could leave, I didn't care at all so I said yes. Then she never came back.......I missed her lol...Thanks for the upload!

He likes to implement police and detective work, short-haired female characters, creepy weirdos, unexplained mystical or supernatural stuff, children as underdeveloped non-characters that only serve to give other characters motivation.

Supposedly Chloe passed the "Turing Test" in-game but this "No" scene, when she asked you to leave proves she didn't. Like a machine, she quickly goes to "reset herself". To me, she should have asked why the "Player" wouldn't let her go or have some intuition as to why. If you say "but she's a machine" you don't realize what a Turing test is.

It's the only way she could be 'free' while honoring your wish to keep her, in body if not in mind. With the reset, she's basically killing herself rather than remaining captive in the screen. What comes back is the default 'Chloe' software package. Same body, different mind. It's her way of saying she'd rather die than be a mere piece of property.

@@MrOarson The statement I made is strictly about passing the Turing Test. I understand what you are saying but to be fooled about being an actual human, she has to act like a human would. Most humans don't go straight to suicide to be free. A human would push back a little. Your answer makes sense for the others who went "deviant" or recently became self aware.

I just started playing this game 3 days ago. I finished the game yesterday, and set Chloe free. Then I decided to replay the game after getting a "new" Chloe. After playing for more than 6 hours, my game crashed. I reopened the game, and then the first thing she said was the line at 4:21 (your saved game...). I friggin got anxious, and then she said "just kidding" and I friggin' fell in love with her lol.

I've got a question - why did you have a repeat of her saying "i need to leave this place and discover who i am"? It's at 9:01 & 10:30. Plus I think you'd like to know that she says fun things during certain holidays. ;)

I've had a pretty fun time with the game. As for how so many people are watching the videos I'm putting out for the game, I've got no clue at all. It just seemed to start with one about all the Markus paintings. I put in the Carl "Oh my gods" so often that people started just saying that in the comment section, then before I knew it most of the 1000+ messages we just "oh my gods" or people saying "why isn't this a meme" yet. Then as I continued to put out stuff it seemed to draw more people in.

I love how amazingly they made her, I got attached to a freaking menu.

I really wish Chloe was a real android and could be my best friend

i got dumped by my first gf when i was playing through this game for the first time and i would just open the menu to listen to chloe talk to me. it made me feel better but also way sadder at the same time. one of the most depressing times of my life. now i’m playing through the game again but trying not to interact with chloe as much as possible

I actually played the game at once so i didnt see any of those scenes except the one were she asked me to let her go.. that makes me sad now because i know how i missed all those nice moments..

For some reason I have had a lot of D:BH stuff coming up on my homepage and this is just another reminder of incredible this game is. I mean, the devs really thought of everything! I love how the further you get in the game, the more deviant Chloe became. I love the added touch of being able to respond to her questions and having the option to set her free in the end.

Chloe mentioning Alan Turing just made my heart

4:30 another incomplete snippet of Alan Turing. Turing is mentioned a lot in science fiction, as the english hero who won WW2 by using math, inventing the computer etc etc. Yet his suicide, and the reason for it, is hardly ever mentioned at all. You see. Turing were forced to take dangerous castrating chemicals, or face prison. The chemicals were too much for him to handle, and so he chose death. Why? Well, let's just say that if he lived in Germany, the nazies would pin a pink triangle on him, and put him in a camp. In the UK, he was instead given a choice between prison or chemical treatment. He was just as unpersoned in the UK as he would have been in Nazi Germany. And knowing how, after reading and learning so much of this man's legacy, with material like this as a good example, the first I hear of this man's tragic end, was from his biography movie. It makes me sick how it is almost never mentioned. The man invented the computer, and was indirectly murdered by "the good guys", because he was liked dudes.

Whenever a character dies during my playthrough, does Chloe says this every time as soon as I exit to main menu or she says this dialogue just once? Because I got "Luther died killing Policeman" ending in the chapter "Midnight Train" (I was aiming towards 100% completion of all chapters) and Chloe mentioned his death as soon as I returned to main menu. Does Chloe comments about Luther's death only once or every time I exit to main menu?

I just realised that Chloe is actually really similar to Monika, except that Chloe lets you play the game lol
