One of the best thrash metal albums of all time. I've listen to alot of metal bands over the years, and while many are more technical and have better production, this album still stands out as a unique jewel. Every song is differently crafted, and there are no fillers. They just don't make them like this anymore.

ah the Sailors farewell. Goosebumps as soon as it fired up. Such good memories. Was passed a tape with this album on it back in Bible college some 20 years ago. As good now as it was then.

Retroactive Records remastered and reissued both Detritus albums in 2019 (CD and vinyl). I found them on a site called Boone's Overstock (odd name, I know, but it's apparently the official Retroactive storefront).

This album is profoundly good!

I think I've purchased 3 of this album. After I lost the second one I hadn't seen or heard it again for years. I told my wife about it and she bought it for me off ebay about 3 or 4 years ago. She got it for a steal, she only paid $50.00 for it.

Cristian thrash is amazing

I found these guys an a CD in a store called "the giving Tree" Theses guys rock as hard as the legendary Mototrhead but they are trying to spread the good news of the Kingdom of God Returning.

Still have a copy ,sent a letter to Dave Thompson of the band Bride current with the release of the "Snakes In The Playground "album.He sent this a tee shirt and a package of great Christian albums. Totally blew my mind as a new Christian completely sold me on the possibilites of what Jesus can do in a persons life. Thanks Dave this is a good album.

Back in the early '90's I used to listen to "The Ground Floor" hosted by Kevin Allison every Saturday night. I always recorded the program on a cassette, pausing the tape when a band would come on that I didn't care for. One night I caught "Father To Son" and loved it! For some reason, Kevin didn't reveal the title of the song but the name of the band was Ditrix?! All these years, I didn't know how to spell the band's name nor did I know the title of the song I had heard....until tonight!

A rare classic indeed. I bought this when it 1st came out and never saw it again since. I am glad I hung on to it.

I bought it not long after it was released, and it has been a jewel of my collection. I love every song on it; every moment of every song. I will never, ever sell it!!

That twangy-twang in the beginning threw me off. I’m glad I stuck with it!

i've had this cd for twenty years or so and the first one. This album though is my favorite. Speaks to the heart. I love the saying in the liner notes. This album is dedicated to the one who loves me when i blame him the one who watches over me when i ignore him the one who helps me when i let him down the one who died for me because i met him because i love him i can be. Rings true no matter what year it is or what day it is.

In my humble opinion, I think this is one of the coolest songs ever produced by a Christian band... I can listen to it again and again. The opening rif and intro to this song is remarkable.

I used to have this album. Lost it with all the moving I did when I was younger. Fantastic album have always loved this band.

Excellent christian metal band that really could have gone big. Way more talent than Creed or POD. I got this cassette when I was 12, and I loved it. Thanks for the nostalgia kick!

I lost a bid to buy a used copy of this CD 2 years ago on Ebay. The CD sold for $109.00. Maybe everyone would have thought I was ridiculous for thinking about bidding; but it was memories that I thought of buying. One of the freaking coolest albums ever recorded. How about REX records of the early 90's?

Pagise1 Mine was blue. The official USA release (R.E.X. Music) had a muted blue color.

So glad I kept their cassette! It's a real gem.

Bo Nichols They disbanded a long time ago. I did read where they we're going to reform to play some festival in 2019 but haven't heard if they ever followed thru. Great band!

Yeah thats really sad too. I just love their style of heavy metal, to me it's some of thegreatest.

I bought this album from a CLC years ago. It was in their bargain basket and only £1!! Best pound I ever spent. The only band I ever heard that mixes Metallica, Rush and Pink Floyd. Awesome band, were are they now??

There are newly remastered releases of both Detritus albums for sale on a site called Boone's Overstock. CD And vinyl, no less.

Rare album...this is somenthing experimental but I do not dislike it.

I would love to have this album again. Most of my CDs were stolen out of my car back in the mid 90s. Had some great stuff along with this one. I still have all of the cases and sleeves...just no CDs. I've replaced what I could over the years but still yet to get this one. @@johnathanb2114 you sure? Xentrix put out their first record, "Shattered Existence", in 1989, and recorded a demo ("Hunger for") as early as 1987, whereas the first Detritus record was out in 1990.
