In June 2011 we took 100 people on a Wee Jaunt around Edinburgh to see Madhat McGore, Shields Up, Stanley Odd, I Build Collapsible Mountains, Teklo, Over the Wall, Conquering Animal Sound, a story from Vic Galloway, Withered Hand, and Lady North, all in "venues" that show off the best that the city has to offer.
This was our tenth and last stop, and we got to see the real Edinburgh. Forget castles and museums, Fleshmarket Close mixes the smell of last night's urine and fresh kebab meat, all in a graffiti covered alleyway. We decided it was just the place for our favourite new discoveries of 2011, Lady North.
