I have an determinate celebrity and it's nearing 5 feet tall with no less than a dozen tomatoes. This is my first time growning tomatoes. What fun! Boyfriend has an indeterminate cherry and its nearing 7 ft . We live in the desert and we are astonished. We keep them under a fine net.

@@codya.k.a.nlnjacr1tt3r I'm in the California high desert. About 2700ft elev. Tomatoes are not fruiting since these heat waves have kicked in. 107 today.

Much prefer indeterminate. I am growing one I bought from a store! I believe it’s beefsteak. I bought it at Walmart so no telling. It’s doing very well and has been staked, flowers are budding and some are blooming.

Always enjoy the lessons and visit. My garden is doing so good following your help

Not all seed packets are helpful. My daughter bought me some seeds that read "Tomato" and that is it. No variety, no planting instructions, not another thing (not even a company name to go try and suss it out). Next season I am going to start them indoors just to end my curiosity. lol

Heatmaster and Lizzano produce very heavy yields. Plus the cross you get from letting them pollinate is even better.

What is the best determinate organic tomato seed for a hydroponic indoor growing system? Also, what non-toxic fertilizer should I use? Thank you.

There's so much wrong with this.. organic tomato seeds? Why would this matter? Any tomato can be organic depending on how you grow it. Next... You're growing hydro but want to make sure its "non-toxic". I'll assume you also mean organic here as well. Plants can't tell where their food is coming from. They do not care if its organic or not and you shouldn't care either unless your reason for going organic is strictly because you think it's better for the environment. There is no difference when you consume it. Organic doesn't mean better and I grow organic.. in soil. Organic can sometimes even be more dangerous. For example.. in organic farming you can use pesticide made from chrysanthemums
