Really impressed with Chris working out the baby Devils had botulism! That’s an illness I havnt heard of for years, so he did brilliantly! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and then the pregnant snake! Clever to get it to go up the clear plastic tube to be examined….I thought it had an impact ion, but good grief pregnant with no less than 16-20 babies!! Would scare me at that animal place having so many VERY poisonous snakes!! Vets are amazing having to learn about the anatomy for so many animals….they are brilliant ….and then the lady vey finding the young Doberman had eaten and overdosed on cannabis…..the mind boggles, but everyone both sides of the world, Inc Scott have done brilliantly Well!, 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😘😘😘😘😘💖🦋🦋😻🦋🦋🦋🥰

They added some hissing sound effects, probably to make a point of how venomous this snake is and up the drama. But she was so calm 😊 She only looked mildly upset when they flipped her on her back, but even then she took it quite well. Really cute ✨🐍

Yeah they are crazy smart! I am in awe of them. When I was at Uni, vets had the most lectures & follow up reading materials. They had 40 hours' worth of lectures & lab work. As a Law student, I had about 14 hours & some "recommended reading" which was completely unnecessary, as any lay person can do this degree, if they have a basic understanding of English. The only reason for the high entrance scores are because people think that they can earn big bucks. I worked in it for 3 years & got over it very quickly. Vets though.....they basically have to know the anatomy of every animal in the world....I can't imagine how? Medicine is cool but just one body.

I've loved Tasmanian Devils ever since I went Australia in 2003 (I actually celebrated my 10th birthday in the Space Needle's restaurant). We saw them in a wildlife park in Hobart, Tasmania. They were hand reared just like those two little ones so, while the guide was holding one, we got to pet them. Ever since, I fell in love with how cute and unique they are. Seeing those two joeys get sick broke my heart. They are usually so feisty and full of life, but with the two sisters being barely able to move just felt like such sadness. I'm so happy that they recovered perfectly thanks to Dr. Chris and their handlers. Thank you for everything you do! Without people like you I this world, we wouldn't have the wonderful joy that animals create.

I had to have my dog put down the other day and had such an epiphany about vets. While my vet was playing therapist to me, I considered how difficult this job really is. A doctor goes to school and specializes in one field; vets go to school and specialize in ALL of it. They are radiologists and surgeons, therapists and at the end of the day, only human! Thank you for all you do for our pets, it must be a very thankless job sometimes.

botulism: a rare but serious condition caused by a toxin that attacks the body's nerves. Botulism may cause life-threatening symptoms. A type of bacteria called Clostridium botulinum produces the toxin. Botulism can occur as the result of food or wound contamination. [As per Mayoclinics website]

Mostly I understand it comes from cans of food. Meat based. That have had a cut or damage to it. It might not even be seen. But it can be checked for! The space into the food causes the worst bacteria to enter the food. I really am just sad that Australia has an operation where they would let this happen! Very sad and unprofessional. I don't know if it could happen from as they are alluding to. An old animal carcass in the devils bedding. But even with that they need to be better at checking the housing for old food. I just hope the lesson is learnt!

botulism is a toxin produced by a specific bacteria that can grow in improperly stored good, if I recall correctly it's usually introduced by insects that stop by to eat, generally flies. It can also be found in improperly treated wounds. A good sign of risk is if there's maggots, but they're not required in order for the bacteria to be present

Guys are you in Australia not caring about your indigenous animals!?? Why is one woman having to care for two orphan devil's And separately caring two other handsome devils who are very ill near death & with possibly contagious illness??? It seems like a lake of support is happening here! Also when you talk about animals that are near extinction Bondi vet & KZread please give charity support links. I think people would give money. I know I would and I'm not even from Australia. It just seems like an obvious help.

Campaign for some money from cadbury's. They use the Tasmanian devil in the UK and Ireland on chocolate bars. I think a corporation that makes a lot of money and want good will & a good Tasmanian devil charity could come up with something great to help each other!?
