Thanks for sharing very impressive. May I ask what is in the bowl that the chicks and parents eat from?

Those are reptile feeding bowls. Love them. I use another style for bath water too. Decent for keeping live food in one spot as well

Is that real grass? Birds seem to like the fake plants too. Good video thanks for sharing.

Hard to give simple answer. Same amount of poop as any flooring so depends on number of birds, if a species that forages on ground, etc.

Thank you! Somewhere there is a video with more detail about this but there isn’t a simple answer. First, there is just as much poop, eggfood, debris as any other flooring so it has to be cleaned just as often. That depends a little bit on whether the species spends a lot of time foraging or resting on the ground (mine do). What I like about it is that water (bath water primarily) leaks through to the tray and evaporates. Poop dries fairly quickly on the grass fibers. Seed and hulls get trapped (somewhat) in the fibers. And the birds enjoy exploring in it for tidbits. I have two sets of mats. When one is dirty I roll it up and out and replace with the other. I clean by spraying with an enzyme cleaner and hosing off in hot water. Hang to dry. Can be put in a commercial washing machine etc. as well, so there are other cleaning methods. it does unravel at edges so seal by melting or superglue or something. Disinfect with steam cleaner. Hunt around for video for more information and to see the process.

well I guess that depends where you are in the world. in the US you can only import them from Europe at the moment as no-one else is breeding them that I know of.
