I have learned a lot during this journey about the right products to use, combining locs, to re-twist or not to re-twist, ect. I detail most of the important things I have learned through these pictures and videos. I now have 72 locs and while I used to re-twist, I no longer do. Congrats on two years! I started mines on December 3rd 2020, so I’m getting close to 2 years myself. I also have very thick semi-free form locs, also in a brick pattern, so in many ways watching your journey almost felt like watching mines again. Keep it up!!

Yo locs fire! Motivation! I don’t retwist a lot. I try to do every 6 months. I’m a year & 3 months loc’d. I’m thinking bout just leaving it alone & letting it grow like this! & I want to combine them. Make them thicker. Your hair & you are marvelous!

I left them on for probably two months until i realized they probably werent the healthiest
This is just a side note but I think there was a bug in ur shoulder (when it shows the one year mark)

I personally semi free form. I dont part my hair i let my roots grow out mostly. I don't retwist them for maintenance. However, I do braid my new growth into my locs to keep my locs from thinning. This is a video of what im talking about kzread.info/dash/bejne/gKh-0cNyfdjacqw.html

I wanna know what factors go into making hair loc at different rates, my hair literally locked in a month even tho I have a looser curl pattern than my family but it took them 2-3 months for their locs to be locked. Why is that

Pretty much anything that makes one head of hair different than another. Porosity- how easily the hair soaks up and retains moisture Hair length at the time of starting locs Hair density- the amount of strands hair on the person’s head How often the person’s hair is washed The products they use
You should talk about demonic things we shouldn’t be playing nor looking at
