I've been seen a lot of Alioth and Shang. Like A LOT. I've been playing my fair (but small) games of destroy and I love to run Shang, not really every body expected him.

Hazmat ruins Deadpool if you get the chance before it’s destroyed and it feels amazing 😂

I opened Nimrod last cache and have played a Destroyer Nimrod deck all the way up to nearly Infinite, it's so much more fun than the deadpool style of destroy

I would definitely run Zola instead of Destroyer if I had it but the deck still works perfectly fine without it. Your ideal curve is playing Magik-Shuri-Nimrod-Destroyer-Venom+Absorbing Man but even just getting Shuri-Nimrod into 2 destroys on turn 6 works perfectly fine. Destroyer should not get played in every game because sometimes you get a big Carnage + Bucky early, and Jubilee should be played pretty much only on 4 if you're missing a lot of your important cards. I can pretty reliably beat Deadpool decks even if they play Knull because they have to highroll a lot harder getting Deadpool by turn 2/3 while you can topdeck Nimrod on 5 and still pull of your full combo. Don't be afraid to drop a Shuri with no payoff in hand as the chance of you drawing either Destroyer or Nimrod is pretty high, and even if you miss if you had a Magik down you can pass 5 to play Nimrod on 6 with a double destroy on 7.

I’ve been running Shang in my destroy deck too and you’re right, no one expects it, especially turn 6 lol

Any thoughts on putting Nico in this list? I run her in my destroy and she can be nuts for me. You just tend to win if you get to draw two cards with the destroy actually being a bonus most of the time. She can also make copies of big carnages and venoms, or just another copy x23 or wolverine and it's really good.

I JUST started playing this deck again a couple nights ago for nostalgia purposes and I’m so glad someone else had the same idea. This always felt so much more consistent than the Deadpool/Forge/Nico/Hulkbuster stuff. I even made the same Gladiator substitution just for the hell of it and found it to be really effective, especially to just gobble up with Venom afterwards. Need to find a way to fit Magik/Zola back in here as well.

I play like out of 20 games 18 with destroy and I play a hybrid version with deadpool but with shang chi and bucky too and I tried playing the deadpool version but without shang chi and beeing able to play turn 2 bucky it just didnt feel right so it felt good seeing you bring more data to different destroy deck

Great stuff as always Regis! Good recommendation for anyone wanting to use destroy on Conquest: drop Deathlok and Arnim Zola from the standard list and include Shang-Chi and Enchantress. Being able to take down the Iron Man/Onslaught or a Ms. Marvel can really shift the game.

This is pretty close to the deck that got me to Infinite the first two times I made it, but I didn't have Knull, X-23, or Gladiator then so I ran The Hood, Sabertooth, and Moon Girl instead. It was a great deck and really fun to play!

These days you can take basically any meta deck and hit infinite. You just need to know when to retreat and when to snap.

May try this deck out. Whenever I play destroy I NEVER draw Deadpool!

Shoulda used all pixel variants. Since they added the "destroy all pixels" album.

I've been using this as my no-brain list with a couple of swaps for months, people used to call Deadpool too unreliable and I agreed. That Hulkbuster change, what a mistake.

I am the one playing shang in a destroy Deadpool deck. Works like a charm, especially when hits enemy Knull, reached Infinite many times with it. I also tried Rogue for Ms Marvel meta and also Knulls. I also think that only semi-viable non-Deadpool destroy is Nimrod.

Testing out this deck right now.

Man I'm not gonna play Destroy without Deadpool, hell I only started played Snap because I saw someone play with Deadpool :D

My alternate deck on Destroy has no Deadpool too but it has TaskMaster.

What's crazy is, destroy decks are the only decks I guarantee there's a shang chi in, I've never been wrong.

I'm early Series 3 player and don't have Venom, Deadpool, X-23 or Knull yet, but I got Death from season pass and started playing Destroy because I like the archetype and it's my best performing deck currently. My cards are: Nova, Yondu, Squirrel Girl, Bucky, Carnage, Wolverine, Killmonger, Gladiator, Enchantress, Spider-Woman and Death Do I wish I had Deadpool and those other Destroy cards I'm missing? Yes, but you don't need Deadpool or Knull to play Destroy.

I don't run deadpool in my destroy deck. He's in my Thanos destroy deck, but not my 'regular' destroy deck. I never saw the need when I don't focus on him.

I play almost the exact same deck. Except swapping out Glad for Sabertooth. Destroy him once and he is a free card to destroy every turn. But I agree people sleep on shung in destroy

I don't feel Killmonger is a good fit in this deck. I'd replace him with Negasonic just to take out an opponent card to help boost Knull?

This is like all average destruction decks... Try negative destruction.. with Mr negative... Knull + mistyque + zola for zero cost.. and maybe taskmaster or iron man (plus alioth).. Is crazy good... with some luck 😅

deadpool is important but its not everything, atleast having x-23 or wolverine is what you want and then destroying it multiple times for your knull and death, and ofc if u can, having a big dp to play with those two is a huge plus. dont get it twisted with us dp players, we can still win many games without drawing dp.

Shang-chi doesn't surprise anyone in a destroy deck. You know what I do to surprise people with this deck? I use Super Skrull. Opponent plays destroy? You have a 4 cost Knull. Blue marvel? Bonus points.

@@mait4051 no, nimrod is bad. deadpool can scale up decently on his own, nimrod needs shuri or else youre not overpowering anything. nimrod was only useable in prenerf galactus.

I'm a Destroy Main, and I always run Shang-Chi in my decks. He's just too important, in my opinion. Helps to win when you don't have a very powerful 6 turn play or just makes your Knull bigger and Death cheaper which is also awesome.

well, Deadpool is hardly his own archetype anymore.... he's just a destroy staple now, so this deck don't feel different from a deadpool deck except for gladiator

Can confirm i did not expect the chi vs destory in conquest after snapping for 8. But i did beat his ass 5 straight after to win with corvus ramp ending the 5th game with corvus, hela, odin. 😅

Take yondu, gladiator and shang out. Add nova, nimrod and zola. Thats what i run. No need for deadpool. Ive literally went an entire game without drawing carnage, venom or deathlock. X23 is more valuable than DP.

I get that it's a unique mechanic. But I HAAAAAAATE Destroy decks. They're fucking cheap. They can overcome almost any other deck that doesn't have just straight up tech used against them. Play Selene and negative one of their cards? Destroy it and help Carnage get bigger. Put a -11 Hobgoblin on their side, Dethlok will buff that out and they put out Death the next turn. Ramp out your massive cards? Oh look, all theirs are bigger. Zoo? HA! One Killmonger and you're dead. Similar mechanics come with Risk. Discard decks have the chance that your key cards (Hela, Ghost Rider) will be the ones hit. You could go an entire Apocalypse game without hitting him once. Destroy has no such flaws. Only two things can hinder destroy decks. Drawing and specific tech cards.

Shang Chi is not necessarily good in destroy. Just because it powers up your knull and takes out an opponent's threat doesn't mean it is always the correct play. I like what Regis pointed out that deadpool destroy doesn't have the space for it. There's a balance between threat development and tech cards. I can see people having success with it because shang-Chi is just such a good/powerful card, but it feels more like a crutch and can gaslight yourself into staying in games and snapping into some serious losses. Ever since I cut him from all my decks, I have been having so much more success and fun, destroy included. This is just my anecdotal thoughts

I just hate seeing destroy, I see it everyday and it became pretty boring as an archetype, I love Regis tho lol

I play Deadpool in every deck because he is my favourite character you don't play him. Because his. Effect we are not the same

I think its funny how you dont like deadpool but knull is fine. Knull is the most cheating ass card ive seen (just jealous i dont have him yet)

The deck is trash. I have 8 defeats in a row (I won the 9th game only because I got caught by an opponent who played on a Zoo deck). It is impossible to win even at the proving ground.

If you play Lockjaw or Hela, you're openly admitting that you're bad at the game. You probably hear "skill issue" in most games, too. You're relying on rng to try to win because you can't play the cards yourself.
