The issue with this alteration is that it doesn't change how we conceptualize racism when someone remarks needlessly on someone else's race or whatever.     Every single person in this debate got so much wrong. Kyle was literally asked by a business owner in Kenosha to defend his business. The rifle Kyle used never crossed any state lines. It was being borrowed from a friend who is of age so Kyle was within his legal right to carry that firearm in Kenosha and defend the business he was defending.

    I am not sure if the criminal procedure is applied differently in that state, but self defense is an affirmative defense. When asserting an affirmative defense the burden of proof that the defendant was acting in self defense shifts to the defendant. The burden of proof for proving all the elements of murder still lies with the state. Disclaimer : This is going off the top of my head of what I remember from criminal procedure lol.

    The police treated the "militia" differently than the protesters because the "militia" hadn't spent 2 days looting and committing arson.

    the takes were idiotic at the time as well. You could literally watch the videos of the shooting at the moment, but idiots couldn't be bothered to watch it and just guzzled whatever the take of the day was.
