Nothing wrong criticizing isreal government but when anyone says isreal is Palestinians home is wild. Unlike Palestinians who were subjects of British, Egyptians, romans, ottomans, romans, Greeks, canaanites, bobylon... jews have actually rulled over Israel with jew kings for thousands of years. Romans kicked jews out first.

Pretty sure thats the raising the masculine bonding, while same time women dont matter in the narrative. Thats probably how conservative media are very gaycoded by doing that. its the same reason why naruto works best as lovestury because naruto and sasuke, because while sakura wasnt even planned to exist, that dynamic is what matters, and its pretty gay, in a honestly touching way. Because the narrative supports actually that relationship while shoving the women out. To be clear he is just bad at writing women in the story there minus tsunade, like he tries. Same why conservatives probably gaycode, by women notr mattering and going high on the dudes relationship, happens easy. Even more if you add the machism between them. Or their special important connection, while ignoring women. Dunno thats probably why

Many left channels I see suppress, or deny as propaganda a lot of the stories. Past reference: A great many in the anti-war movement were anti-semitic and spread conspiracy theories online. Much of those theories were based on early reports of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. That was 20 years ago after the war in Iraq started. It's pretty easy to see the same thing happening since Oct 7.

So I assume what they mean is that they won't commit to tossing someone who holds up a sign calling for Intifada, but if you were to say, follow a Jewish student around with the sign, or gather a big group of people outside a Synagogue and have them shout about it, you could be tossed.

Great info, where did you get that ? From JIDF lmao. Israel literally funded the creation of Hamas to counter Arafat’s PLO, so stop with the “humanity of IDF crap”. if Hamas is a terrorist organisation for killing civilians, is Israeli army a terrorist organisation for killing many many many more Palestinian civilians than you could imagine ? Is Hamas the aggressor or a retaliator ? Israeli army has the luxury to “retaliate” instantaneously since they have world class budget, superior tech, better training. Can Hamas “retaliate” instantaneously? No they need to organise the money, the way to infiltrate , the ammunition, hence it takes time. By the time hamas retaliates, they are branded as the aggressor

On the software dev thing about adding the 10 lines of code. Its a tough one because 10 lines of code can have dramatic effect, sometimes unknown affects. The change needs to be written, tests need to be written and it needs to be manually tested to make sure there aren't any adverse effects. It _might_ be something trivial simple. And its really easy to deal with that in a small team, but when you've got a bit of process going on, and lots to consider it can be a fucking nightmare to deal with!!

  • @NicholasW943

Destiny is super right about the dev sprint stuff. Sprints should only have things added in if they're absolutely necessary, like an exec asking for a change, legal issue, payroll problem, or major bug. QoL or 'simple' stuff should wait. The order of it feels bad when an easy and obvious thing is found, but it does end up making development saner, which is great. Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

Been a software dev for over a decade the old guy is completely correct in the context he is describing. Normally you reach the overpaniced stage of don't touch stuff on super old legacy stuff that's been around for 30 years that all the original devs have left. But this was a new game Outerwilds that is also a single player(non live service) experience. It also sounded like they had jack shit and he just wanted to put in something completely temporary for now in like an hour. Sure sometimes the temp solution once applied eventually becomes the permanent solution after people do one more one more a zillion times then nobody wants to rewrite it. But that's not what's described, especially when he gave the guy a shot to explain what would take so long if you want 4 weeks surely you can spend an hour or so going through your process and oftentimes work through a solution. Even if the guy is wrong and it will not take 45minutes, it will help clarify the design required in your mind and can often reduce the total workload. The guy pushing off like this is an extreme redflag.

~ 46:20 Destiny is correct. You can witness this entire phenomen first hand if you join a company in it's youth and stick around until maturity. There are methodologies used to retain the wild West experience or make space for quick changes like that, and good design, standards, and documentation helps.

Here's the thing though, the guy just wanted dinner stub code in place so other systems could interface. It wasn't the final AI or anything, it was just plumbing the existing calls so other code could run against the bare minimum of wired up calls. There's no need to document or support stub code you're going to throw away. Yesterday I spent a considerable amount of time explaining why I had a test password account in my code, explaining that a stupid policy requiring authentication for everything made my own testing impossible. My service just lists servers and things about how they're automated. There's nothing secret in it, but the policy doesn't have nuance like, "is this a PITA for devs that don't require authorization that ultimately makes things less secure"? So, when I'm done testing I remove it, but the thing that talks to my service blindly follows the policy, meaning that when that service requests something and tells me where to send the response (they can choose wherever they'd like the response sent), they have to give me a password to their service so I can prove that it's the response they requested, even though we have a unique ID to correlate the messages. So now my service has to hold credentials to another service just in case they asked me to send it to the wrong place or something and it's the credentials they use for all interactions and don't rotate. So every request now includes the key to their kingdom inside a service that has no security sensitive info just to ensure that they're not getting results they didn't ask for our something. The amount of extra work, discussion and meetings to make everything less secure has pushed my work back by weeks. Once I was done testing I removed the password and they were happy that it was now as designed. Then they realized they can't get info they need without having that password or some way to request info ... Naturally it's manually entered in plain text in their configuration on their server, making the whole thing moot. "Progress".

The whole feature thing is impossible to tell who was in the right. I would err on the side of caution and longer “dev time” for the reasons stated in the video. The dev that just walked away and didn’t want to explain anything, he was 100% in the wrong and the type of dev that you don’t want to work with. That was an opportunity to make a friend or an advocate.

Also also some countries(mostly ones with recent constitutions, south Africa is the best example) build the automatic integration of treaties + international law sources into their law, some of these still include back stops for treaties that conflict with domestic laws . The US on the otherhand has a constitutional supremacy over all other sources of law domestically, and so congress must pass something to make a treaty/internatjonal agreement effective.

On the software development stuff. From a developers perspective sprints are really about managing workload. Sure your ask may be really quick, but I may already be working on 10 other things this Sprint which we already predetermined will take me the entire Sprint to do. Allowing tickets to be added mid sprint is a good recipe for burnout. 4 weeks to get to release is generous. That means the work got put to the top of the backlog. Dev work tends to take 2 sprints to go to release, and for lots of teams sprints are going to last 2 weeks. First Sprint it will be in the hands of the developers. All of the code they worked on over the sprint, including the work he asked for asked for will get put into the release which then will head to the QA team to test and make sure everything is still working right. Then assuming it is it will go to production. There is also the matter of having the whole team aware of what work is being done, as you generally want developers who are experts in what they are developing, but that's honestly secondary.

Isn't that the girl that was really toxic to her viewers with the subs and donations? Anyway, the whole thing with the hostages and the food made me laugh. The Israeli hostages that were released lost a lot of weight and said they were surviving on one piece of bread a day. One of the Filipino hostages said that he had to eat wet toilet papers in order to survive when the bread ran out. Meanwhile the palestinian prisoners (that were convicted) actually gained quite a bit of weight lol That kid that was released (after stabbing to death another Israeli kid) said they were only fed dried rice and were starving like she said. But when you saw him going up the bus, you could tell he was in no way starving lol. He barely fit the door.

Kuwait is a perfect example of having a goal and sticking to it and not endlessly changing it. We went into Kuwait with the sole objective of driving saddam's forces out and back into Iraq. Once that was accomplished we stopped. Lots of people bitched saying we should pursue them over the border into Iraq and eliminate saddam. That was never the objective for entering Kuwait and we didn't change it. We would later on, but that was a whole new theater of war completely unrelated to the action we took to save Kuwait.
