The one about our destiny lying outside the solar system is true because in grimoire cards from Destiny 1 VoG it speaks about one of the fireteams ghosts getting glimpses of dark futures and in one of those futures it was far outside the sol system and could see many ships with old earth symbols somewhere that wasn't the sol system.

I feel when they refer to last city they are talking about how the traveler blessed the other races, kind of like the Eliksni and how they had a great city under the traveler, the last city on earth will not be the last city to be blessed, but more like the last city to be blessed in that solar system if this makes any sense, basically the traveler will leave for a new system and something similar might happen to other races where they will have one last great city before an eventual collapse

I genuinely am considering this. At the end of the raid, we kill Oryx. You see his body float towards saturn. Now, the witness took worlds, but not Saturn. We never go to Saturn. My theory is, is that Oryx's body lies in Saturn, and since he has experienced True Death, his worm has died. What if the traveler resurrects him? He's no longer in possession of his worm. He's dead. That was the prerequisite for Savathun to be resurrected. Also, he, along with his sister, were originally meant to be given the light. I think genuinely we will have to go and bring Oryx back to fight the Black Fleet. I know people interpret the Taken King will rise again as the raid coming back, and I think it will come back, but I also think if it was just the raid it would not be apart of the story, I think he will gain powers of the light.

@@explicit862 Who knows, savathun isn't a straight forward ally nor enemy. And oryx being a risen wouldn't still count as an ally, he might just see the darkness as his enemy and just focus on the witness.

this dlc is truly amazing, it really showcases how deep this story gets (no pun intended). just to think this is only the beginning of their amazing story telling.

In the lore unlocked during the campaign, one states, from Caitial, that they found Osiris dead and ours is an imposter. While at the end of the book, eris says some may be lies, we don't know what might be, so this can still be possible

Seeing as oryx brought back his sisters from a true death through a great display of their aspects ( war and lies) wouldn’t it be the same for oryx (knowledge) A show of understanding, something beyond even that of the witness’s comprehension maybe?

Osiris being "dead" may be a truth, after all, all guardians can be considered "dead things."

Oryx isnt dead...he is alive as the Touch of Malice and through the calcified fragments, "the taken king will rise again" doesnt necessarily mean he will return to life when he was never dead to begin with, but "rise again" with his body returned to form. Considering that his heart forms the core of TOM this seems quite likely

There's nothing complicated about "the taken king will rise again" your overthinking it, it's as simple as it gets. As said in the vid we know for a fact were getting a d1 raid and it for sure ain't gonna be crota which means it's either wotm or king's fall

Someone had a theory that the area under the large fragment of the Traveler will host another city. It may also be where the Final Shape: A union of Light and Dark arises. This Traveler fragment was also contaminated with Darkness energy during The Collapse. There was even a shard in the EDZ (not there anymore) that Ghost notices with both energies in it. The fragment that restored our powers in the Red War could have been one of these hybrids and why we can even wield Stasis to begin with.

for the shard in the EDZ making it possible to use Stasis, no. in the red war when the guardian used the shard to regain the light, it only affected the guardian, not anyone else like the vanguard. since the new starting missions no longer involve using the shard to regain the light, that would not make sense.

I wonder if once there was an army of *TRAVELERS* just like the pyramids but they were all destroyed and our traveler is the very last one and the darkness wants to destroy that one too

I think with the Witness building its army on Mars is something to look into. When we first dropped on Mars to board Savathûn’s ship, I noticed it was a above a cradle, a place the Traveler marked onto Mars. In season of Arrivals, the cradle on Io was slowly terraformed by the pyramids there. The same might happen on Mars and it might be the Witness’ own cosmodrome.

I wonder if the idea we will obtain the power to move worlds, and the idea our destiny lies beyond our solar system are related. Like, imagine simply moving Earth out of the way to avoid another collapse. Also opens up a lot more exploration opportunities.

"The power to move worlds will soon be yours." Now we know for sure that was true with the Macrocosm encounter in Root of Nightmares.

For oryx return I could see 1 of 3 things happening When the witness returns titan he will use oryx body as a darkness puppet to do whatever he wants done When the witness returns titan a lucent hive strike team brings a hive ghost to revive oryx with the light, this depends on what are the limits on a ghost first time reviving someone like how much of the person needs to be intact before they can revive them. It’s a sort of 4th wall breaking moment referring to the kings fall raid returning. The whiteness being the taken king I kinda don’t agree with due to oryx is the character referred to the taken king and rise again means someone was defeated and making a sudden comeback, while the witness was sort of defeated earlier he’s been making a return over the seasons

I don't think Oryx gains the light, Oryx represented the pinnacle of the three sisters in darkness. Savathun and her brood became worthy. Oryx and his Taken are not worthy of the light.

My corpse went flying into Saturn's atmosphere, not Titan. I personally think its Savathûn breaking the fourth wall and telling the players that KF is returning, though bringing Oryx back into the main story would be nice

Lore/Story wise, Witch queen is the best. I personally love hive DLCs since the hive are basically the most powerful and mysterious species of the 3 main aliens. Other DLCs were important, but this is really taking us to the end of what started destiny 1, with the destruction of the witness and the looming darkness coming to destroy earth, or maybe not idk seems like it doe

If Osiris is dead, what about Martian Missives? I know that Savathun made some of them, but I find it unclear if she made Caiatal's or no. Caiatal's goes over how the Osiris in the tower is fake, and the real one was found dead on Nessus.

Did u know, in the last cutscene when the Witness is walking, along his corridors to the left and right are species statue( Of destroyed systems or of Sol system?). I saw a statue that looks like a Cabal one (big fat hand somewhat). I don't recall anyone discussing much about the darkness area statues/relics, some of it look like carving of something to tell its story... It's very interesting to pay attention to the witness and his darkness relics because they're quite details and contain some mysteries as well

Oryx can return, it’s a fact he killed both his sisters to gain the power need to defeat the worm of secrets and learn the power to take, he used that power to defeat the reptile people that almost defeated the hive , and through deception he revived the which queen and through battle he revived his other sister. He took him self and is the taken king so he will return through taking. Weather it’s the witness or witch queens taking of the planets. Side note , I’ve got a hunch we the players may indeed be the witness, first contact with the pyramids we saw our self, 2 the witness had many faces, 3 the power to weld darkness comes from within,4 ghost the more you use darkness keeps asking how your doing, 5 drifter Eric’s morn exo stranger all use darkness and are all rouges, 6 description of the first collapses in destiny one hinted at civil war when darkness arived, 7 there was a mission to work with Zavala or drifter but not both unless you did it on different characters, 8 it would be the perfect set up to do light vs dark guardians in a darkzone type pve similar to division rouge agents... aka dregend

In the games of 2 truths and 2 lies, everything savathun says is a half truth, and half lie, depending on how you interpret it. For example Osiris being dead, he is in a coma like state so he’s not physically dead but mentally yes. Also like the taken king will rise again. He may come back but in a different form. Very interesting though

Though I find this (very) unlikely, Maybe that phrase of "The taken king will rise again" was not a comment of the in-game lore itslef but instead a Meta-game comment referring to the possible "King's fall" raid returnig in a near future

People forget that The Taken King doesn't have to be Oryx. It could be someone else it could be even as the guardian to have the next darkness subclass to Take

In the lore book you get for completing Witch queen levels, you receive a message from Caital saying she found a body that she confirmed to be Osiris even though he is in the tower

There’s a lore card that says Caiatl’s men found an viscerated body on Nessus and it was almost beyond recognition but they claimed it to be Osiris and basically said “I don’t know who that is in the tower but it’s not Osiris. Maybe its just a husk for listening.”

we STILL DO HAVE oryxs heart in the touch of malice it could be in the vaults of the old tower just like how we found outbreak perfected in s6

Oryx being brought back is likely a truth. Bungie has said Kings Fall will be back sometime this year, so a season will likely revolve around it.

Note that roadmap for Destiny 2 future DLCs states: Witch Queen, Lightfall, Final Shape... and Beyond That would be dope if this single word in roadmap dictates future of a whole game

Fun fact if you read the lore from Witch Queen Ciatal actually gives us a message saying they found Osiris dead on nessus saying he was experimented on by hive tools and techniques.

Plot twist: oryx comes back as a light bearer

Also I believe the reason for the different recordings is that there is truth hidden in all three statements. A puzzle to foreshadow the future

Savathun bringing up the ability to move worlds made me think about a potential darkness subclass being Telekinesis or maybe gravity manipulation. Like a Warlock having force push, Titans crushing things with gravity/pressure, and Hunters having faster movements while slowing enemies

bro its gravity it has to be stasis was the opposite to solar I am assuming corruption will be next as an opposite to Arc and Gravity the opposition to void if u understand what void and Arc truly are on a deep level then you'll know why these two are so anticipated

the DLC feels like... well The Taken King, Savathun, related to Oryx, she gave to the hive, while Oryx Took, We got glaives In D2 and in D1 we got Swords (a special thing, unique). It's a very strong resemblance in my opinion.

Wait wait wait! What if and this is a big if...what Savathûn meant by "The Taken King will rise again" is that Orxy comes back as a user of the light? If you think about it, during the campaign we learned that the Hive was tricked. Remember during the campaign cutsceen where Ikora was getting the truth from the dying worm and we heard from the vision "These frail siblings will soon be claimed by the light. Unless we claim them first". That one line really said a lot. And we saw that Savathûn was chosen by the Traveler. Didn't anyone thought it was weird that as Savathûn ghost was scanning her dead body, that it already looked Hive like? So my theory is that "The Taken King will rise again" actually is telling us that Orxy will be revive by the Traveler since it was going to bless the Hive with the light in the first place. It's just a theory but still...it's a very interesting if ya think about it. AND what if we form an alliance with the lucent Hive to fight the Witness? Cause we're already allies with the Fallen and the Cabal, so what's stopping Bungie from having us team up with Savathûn lucent Hive?

Osiris being dead might just be a truth and not a false thing. Not because guardians are dead things, but because if the lore Caitl provided. In this season’s story, she mentions that they found a corpse on Nessus and that she can confirm it’s Osiris. Also that “the thing” in our tower as Osiris could be there to spy on us, etc…

The Witness building an army on mars makes sense. After all, the portal to the black garden is there and the witness could possibly bring back the heart. Even building the army in the black garden is a option.

so when i first saw the video where year 1 destiny 2 had all the planets still, bungie placed pyramid ships next to all the planets that would be taken away, as if this was to be forseen in the near future.

The witness moved Mars back into your solar system and the witness using Mars to make an army, could both be a connection. And as the witch Queen said the witness laid his fingers onto mars before he basically threw it up back into your system. I am not sure If anybody read the lore pages from the Witch Queen but Osiris is definitively dead. Caital's Psions found his dissected body in Nessus. The body shown at the end of the exorcism mission is false or- Caital is lying to us?

I’m by no mean a lord expert, however in the hive lore Oryx killed both of the sisters to become the taken king and brought them both back by waging war and tricking others so it’s possible for the last sister to bring Oryx back

Wars is also technically ended D1 main vex campaign on mars, and the black heart was there maybe we’ll learn what that thing was and we might need to replace it and the vex somehow I will absolutely not be surprised if we get the Vex on our side in the final hour but by then they’ll give us access to time slip abilities and we might be encouraging a guardian from yet another time line but we play as The Stranger in a sort of homage but maybe that’s what they mean by “beyond the Sol system”

Ine thing I dont see people talk about is the 2 truths and 2 lies story quest mentions oryx returning is a possibility as he, savathun and xivu where going to be chosen by the traveller. Which means oryx could get a ghost.

Everyone’s focusing on Oryx but the planet powers are the most important we might be able to get the planets back by installing and deleting them like dlc

With the fall of the last city a few years ago as well as the destruction of the planet and more we haven't really explored very much and I'm sure there are more human settlements across the planet as was stated before but what if when the witness attacked he ends up enveloping the planet in darkness and this pushes us to a new city after all they never said where our factions went just that they left so this could be a possibility

The Traveler choosed the hive, maybe oryx being brought bake have something to do about this

The body of Oryx still technically is around right? Cause in King’s Fall after defeated Oryx his body became like a statue state so it would be drifting to Saturn. Since the material of what Oryx is made out of in his stone like state may help him survive the fall onto the planet. The darkness could possibly reach to oryx and do darkness magic unless a wandering ghost finds him and revives him since the Traveler accepts Hive Guardians now. So we are either seeing a King’s Fall but different type of raid where he’s under the control of the darkness, a mission where we find him alive or a King’s fall raid where we kill him as a Guardian, or he just remains dead to have 1 Evil Sibling, 1 Good(?) I think we will find that light and dark are neither good or bad but simply forces and it is the person wielding them that dictates their goodness or evil. Possibly we will learn to wield them both together to fight some malevolent beings that are corrupting the dark. A fight between balanced forces and beings that seek chaos between the forces.

admittedly i didnt play Curse of Osiris much. but if i remember correctly he and Saint-14 went through time using the vex. granted they both were preoccupied with vex and the fallen. do you think one of them at least saw any of this coming?

I dont know if you read the lore books for the witch queen DLC or SEASON of risen, but Osiris is actually dead. According to the books, catial and her psions managed to find a "bisected beyond recognition" Osiris somewhere in hive territory there the body was heavy studied through numerous tools and rituals. It also states that the Osiris in the tower ( the one who is in a coma) is an imposter of savathun or something. Idk, read this in the books and wanted to see if you knew

Wait the Last City isn't the Last City. What if that means we will have to abandon our Last City and make a new Last City. Since the hieroglyph wall in the raid tells a story that shows the Witness Kills (blank)> If the Tower is the last hieroglyph then we lose the city, and find shelter elsewhere, which takes us off planet, or even off our solar system.

Oryx's body is just floating around the rings of Saturn. Whats to stop a ghost resurrecting him the same way one did for Savathun?

I think it would be cool to witness Oryx's return, imagine Nokris using his necromancy along with the Touch of Malice to resurrect him through a ritual only instead of resurrecting him back to power he does so just so he can then kill him for himself and claim the mantle of the new Taken King why? What if the power shes talking about will be the next subclass we get in the next expansion. Like how stasis is the opposite of solar what if this is the opposite of void?
