Honestly, Lakshmi's hypocrisy throughout this whole season was beyond insufferable. When I saw her corpse, my immediate first thought was "DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD!"

Saint's growth during this season was fantastic, from hating the Eliksni to befriending them plus happy we get to see Mithrax again since he helped us get Outbreak Perfected

I really like his speechless pause after Misraaks said "Because we wished to live". I think Saint never realized how much terror and misery Guardians brought to the Eliksni people. I mean jesus, if only Captains are sufficiently nurtured, the rest of them are in constant hunger.

@@Mediados Not to mention the other Kells before Mithrax. Remember how massive the likes of Skolas and Aksor and the other Eliksni bosses were? Eliksni aren't meant to be that big, yet they were because they exploited their position to hoard most of their Houses' Ether supplies for themselves. Mithrax is still the size of a regular Captain simply because he isn't a selfish arsewipe.

Misthrax was the first enemy turned friend and I would do that mission all over again to enjoy the first feeling of not feeling alone

Holy shit only Captains are actually well-fed? The Eliksni are in a far worse state than I thought. As a fan of their race I am glad that a House finally decided to ally with the Tower.

The thing a lore video can't show: the community. Never forget how, during this season, just about every single guardian overwhelmingly started aligning with Mithrax to the point where if it ended with Lakshmi managing to kill them Bungie would have had an actual full scale riot on their hands. Even Cayde's death wouldve paled in comparison. I cant remember a time when guardians overwhelmingly came together like this in support of a character in the past.

I wish I could have played this Season... The Eliksni are to me, the most fascinating alien race in all the game... The kabal have the exess in every aspect ; the hive are pantheonic ; but the fallen, they are truely somethin' else by how frail n' simple they are by origins. Truely they are close of humanity on this regard. But I do wonder... Why the traveller did not gifted them with rebirth ? Why us, and via savathun, the hive ? To that, my first theory is, since by design the Eliksni were never meant to be warriors, only forced to take arms by the following events... Maybe the traveller didn't see purpose in giving them Ghosts. Or, maybe, since mankind existence is filled with Wars, the traveller may have found in us the opportunity to protect himself from the Witness... Or, maybe it was to counter balance the fact we tend to kill each other, no matter thé motivés.

No unfortunately past seasons get valuted which is sad honestly because if you werent around you wont understand the story the impact and character development bungie worked really hard on im hoping after final shape and its 3 seasons they'll go back and rotate the old seasons out monthly and at a discounted price for those who missed out but one can only hope ​@cavaleiroe

I really, really like the Eliksni, despite what they've done, and this really makes me rethink what it means to be a guardian. The Eliksni were visited, gifted by the Traveller but left behind in the tide of Darkness, they may be alien to humanity, but they are every bit the same, if not more when it comes to being the victims of suffering. Even if many of them are pirates and scavengers, the same is true with humanity. The Eliksni were left behind and abandoned, but humanity and it's variants were given Light, and the Eliksni faced death at the hands of seemingly unkillable guardians, by their own fault or not, that must have been a terrifying thing to reckon with, only for us to finally come together with a relatively small and underwhelming meeting. I'm glad for it, I don't enjoy having to kill Fallen as much as more.. deserving and inherently violent races like the Cabal and Vex, and it's stories such as these that I think about when I do. Destiny has done a good job, for me at least, really humanizing the Eliksni, or at least giving me pause to senselessly slaughtering them. The Cabal are violent and bloodthirsty, and go out of their way to fight and die for it, the Hive a persistent wave of pestilence and dark and obscure rituals and the Vex... outliers aside, there's little reason the Eliksni and humanity shouldn't be allies, especially in the encroaching shadow of Darkness.

I've been behind for a long time now and finding time to play all I've missed can be difficult. Watching this helped me catch up and somehow feel like I played through it myself. Thank you.

1:03:26 I remember hearing that for the first time. The chills sent down my spine were overwhelming.

This season is by far my favorite. Especially the bond the gets developed between Mithrax and Saint. I just fell in love with Mithrax and Saint ever since

TY for being a thorough scribe and keeping the archives of the Destiny events. This was a wonderful story of cooperation, unification and overcoming old hatreds. Many of us could learn a few things about forgiveness from the Eliksni. The long night is over and the sun shines once again. As a new player i am just now discovering how good the story of some of the seasons has been in Destiny and i will be part of this great sci-fi universe for a while. TY for allowing me to catch up. May the light shine upon your house!

This is still hands down my favourite season

I've been contemplating getting back into D2 for a couple weeks and now im mad I missed this amazing season. Thank you for the recap though!

@@thehuntergaming6772 yes but you need beyond light deluxe, or do the upgrade otherwise it will tell you thath yyou need the season 14 seaosen pass after you save Mithrax and cannot progress.

After getting burnt out in forsaken, this season got me back into D2, and man do I miss it. Amazing season overall, thanks for lettin gme see it all over again=

Thank you for this Destin. I know it's a lot of work to put this together. As someone who loves the Destiny universe but doesn't have the time to play anymore this is awesome!

Osiris was a big reason for the alliance with the Eliksni, but we later learn that this was Savathûn. So did she actually have good intentions?

Another deception, she just wanted to appear good the same way Osiris would be normally, that way we wouldn't doubt our trust in him (savathun) while she worked to plunge the city into chaos with her manipulations of the vex

Thanks for these videos man. It's so nice to have, given Bungie doesn't allow us access to so much past content. I hope in the future they plan a complete version of Destiny (D1 remaster content along with D2), it'd be a massive game but damn it'd be so incredible

Doing the Traveler's work for those of us that took a break from Destiny and missed out on this season

When I first played this, I assumed that the “push back” Mithrax had was Amtec, because the Red Legion was screwing with Vex tech before and she was (and still is) unaccounted for.

Now this was an amazing season. I already loved Mithrax back when we encountered him in one of the adventures on Titan. and this season brought him back. Mithrax, Saint, the entire community at the tower uniting against the Vex. This is is by far my favorite season of them all.

Was just a bunch of synthwave parkour and season of Arrivals but Vex version. That was it. You didn't really miss much.

I know this may be an unpopular opinion but I sympathized with Lakshmi. Imagine having to live with the same group of people who burned down your home and killed your family. Then after that see a vision of the future that shows that very same people destroying the new home you built. Say what you will about her, but I can't say I'd be welcoming to any fallen

Same, I remember Saint-14 saying he watched Dregs eat children - I wouldn't be forging alliances with creatures like that. I'm hoping Lakshmi's visions end up being correct. It'd be a great plot twist.

​@@ArasakaI think the vision is the preface of the season's final battle... If the Vex were already infiltrating the Last City, they could have easely gain back access to their technology kept by future War, and tempered with it to accelerate the conflict, and push her to thé fault.

If the eliskni gains the light again, could be possible, if the hive can get the light, surely the eliskni can.

This is a great alternative to paying for dlc!

In case you still want an answer- it insn't a dlc, is an old season. Only way to get it now is to buy the delux edition of beyond lithe, wich includes season 12- 15. You can only Play it till the end of season 15 and it cost abou 70 euro

No. They got the fomo out of the game for the most part. You can still play seasons 12-14s content in its entirety.

Yeah you can play all the quests from year 4, you just level up those old season passes
