Music during death ? Maybe a death singer relation here ? The songs of death or whatever they're called is a power gifted to the hive through the darkness. Brother Vance will be the intro for the "Dark Guardian". The spire or lighthouse might be how Guardians learn to embrace a darker power. Like Brother Vance has.

@@ChristopherSadlowski lol No way if I did maybe just maybe I wouldn't have allowed for the amount of downgrades from D1 to D2 but I truly love the story. It's ending is looking cliché but the journey is and continues to be interesting. I assume that the light and dark are one and the same. They need each other, the bigger the light the longer the shadow is casted but no matter how dark it gets there's always light somewhere somehow. That's Destiny. In the end I feel the Guardians will make the ultimate sacrifice for there to be peace he will have to destroy the darkness and the traveler then him or herself. So guardians will live there last life like normal people....idk that's my hunch

The one thing that kind of made me look sideways at Vance was this random line I once heard while standing near him in the lighthouse. He mentioned something about receiving a message from Queen Mara of all people, and his hopes that he would one day be able to deliver that message to Osiris. Like, what would Queen Mara have to do with him? What did she tell him? I find it so weird.

Bro I read this lore book and there is a chapter were Vance as an audience with Queen Mara Sov. He tells her very proudly about the experiments they (He and the Osiris flowers) have been making and when he was about to reveal what he found. The Queen cuts him and says: "That the Guardians have a dark potential" Vance is stun and surprised that the Queen already knows of this. But she simple says that the Awoken are light and dark etc... Etc. They already knew that. So the Queen simple asks him to deliver a message to Osiris. Which he does in the end of the Lore book in a nother chapter. It's quite lengthy so ask if you want to know more.

Maybe a mad rant from me, but further into the Lore book we see him go to Mara Sov and she, at the end, tell him to convey a message to Osiris, "Plant the seed". We are given a lantern that is in a way connected to the sundial core, and at the end of the Empryrean foundation we, in a way, PLANT the lantern of Osiris to launch a beam to light the Lighthouse. The mad rant part is the one where I believe WE planted the Seed Osiris had found. As i said, this is a mad rant made from scraps of incomplete Lore books and i dont fully believe that is it, but a part of me keeps saying, "What if?" If you read through all of the text above and are still here... Congratulations and thank you for taking the time to read it. Sadly im not Brother Vance and cannot give you some repurposed "rewards" but i guess i can wish you luck on your Trials :D

Well if you remember the Eye of the Gate Lord mission in Destiny 1, our Ghost says the Vex were trying to converted Mercury until the Traveler stop them, I feel the Vex on Mercury were the Vanguard for the Darkness.

I thought the first chapter was from the Traveller's perspective as the Vex transformed Mercury

Bruh I think that explains why the pyramid ships are incoming now of all times, because of the spire being used as a beacon to inform the ships of our location. From the house of wolves dlc they began their journey and just now we're seeing them getting closer and closer.

From the lore tab at 5:00, I think that you might be able to glean even more information if your read every other chunk. For example, if the message reads A|B|C|D|E|F, we could change it into two messages, reading ACE, and BDF. If you go back and read through the lore tab in this fashion, it makes coherent sentences. However, that might just be coincidence.

It's funny this came out today as I was looking at the exotic ships for the season and one of them, Saint's Vocation, has lore between Osiris and Saint hinting at all of this. I was wondering if there was more, but I'm guessing this lore book is locked in Trials itself, so i won't be getting it anytime soon, lol Great video and thank you for spreading the lore!

@@cheafmin1399 right so rasputin made exos by putting human intelligences in robot bodies. then, he made seven special exos who were like his advisors/generals and they were clled seraphs. the seventh one was the leader, second only rasputin himself. the serpahs had various control centres, way more than seven. those were the seraph bunkers. its also possible that cyade six was the 3rd seraph.

Zavala played us in the mission homecoming when he said we will fight on but he was behind the wall doing nothing

I can in fact image literally millions of guardians (including myself) being conned out of our Glimmer and literally being used to kill ourselves.

It figures he had an ulterior motive for the first Trials. Honestly, I'd been of the opinion that Vance was looking to usurp Osiris before we met the man behind the myth for the first time. This lore Byf has presented to us actually seems to play more into Vance's origins as a former Warlock (as far as Destiny 1 was concerned) and that lends itself well to the connection as the Cult itself seems more interested in _aiding_ Osiris than merely worshipping him.

Brother Vance has "beavered" us

We're still being played, and Drifter knows it since Osiris hired him himself and told him he was playing a dangerous game. Whatever Osiris is running here, that lighthouse we lit up as of recently, is feeding something with our light. And many are stuck in between, like S-14.

So I was in the tower earlier and eve levante was saying something about using the powers of the darkness being dangerous. Idk if she's said this before but it made me feel like the darkness is about to bring life back to destiny😅👍#ironic

I always loved the loot any group gives me, but as a hunter main I never trust anyone that gives me loot, or gives me trials. Heck sometimes I don't even trust the loot considering half the time it'll talk to me, and my pappy always said don't trust a talking gun, because one of you is bound to be crazy

So I enjoy how you actually take the time to kill red bar ads when you dont need to and can easily just fly by.

This lore never seizes to amaze me...

I never saw/paid attention to the fact that vance was blind. Huh. It does make sense though, when you completed a heroic public event on mercury he would say something like "Such power! You...would tell me...if you were actually Osiris, right?"

Could link with Rasputin coz of them music. It could be a message. Maybe coz of Vance's findings, Osiris comes to meet Rasputin face to face.

I haven't trusted Brother Vance since I first met him in D2 (didn't play trails in D1). In fact, I've emptied quite a few magazines worth of ammo into his psychotic head as well as knives and grenades. As far as the singing goes, Iam thinking it has something to do with the song of life, which was corrupted by the hive to make their Death song if I remember right.

This channel has the best timings for ads. "Anyway, take a listen to this:" "Quitting smoking is f-beep-ing hard..."

Vance has lived the mirroring. He is the one that can shatter the images projected forming the false light. Through being inside the darkness he can direct it's singing into the true light. He will reveal this to you. Gardians.

When I read the lore book I never really got the impression that Vance was doing anything maliciously. I just got the impression that he was in over his head and didn't really understand what he was messing with.

Ok ok, this vid was before the reveal but when I saw |starless| in the last few sentences that immediately made me think of the Stranger, she mentions that she came from a place where the darkness won in the trailer, and along with her severe hatred for the vex and us finding the vex right before talking to the stranger I’m thinking that the vex came from the dimension that she did, where the darkness won, hence the portal the the vex come from is |starless|

Tbh I didn't know how to activate the heroic vex crossroads so i learnt something new as well as the lore

The trials have definitely been powering the pyramids via the spire's song. Don't tell Savathun.

Maybe the lines are sections that had been scrubbed out or lost or maybe misinterpreted and those lines could be possibly indicating that those sections have been altered in some way?

After guardian stepped on board of pyramid, chain reaction of events started, and believed to all according to the plan of the Darkness. If that’s true, then maybe Darkness wanted us to resurrect Seint-14, so he will bring us back in a Trials of Osiris, so maybe whatever Brother Vence is doing there, playing right in to the Darkness plan. (I apologize for my lack of grammar, I’ve only recently moved to U.S a still learning English)

I faintly recall that when playing in Trials (in D1 at least; haven't played it in D2), that there was a noise chime when a fireteam member was eliminated or when one was revived. Does anyone else remember this? or am I mistaken?
