You can tell Kackis was tired of talking and was out of breath for how many crazy steps we have to do here 💀💀💀 with a random person on LFG at that by the 12 minute point and everything was sped up . I feel like there's a line but between fun and challenging and outright stupid and overboard and they crossed it

Couldnt be happier that one of the few games that does multiplayer and does it well is adding more multiplayer content. You have a million options for weirdo solo play. Co op folks have very few.

The issue is that when one of the selling points of their DLC is the class item and then they lock it behind an activity a good majority of people won't be able to do as they either don't have friends who play the game nor the social abilities, to do the mission. I get there's plenty of games out there people can play solo. Besides solo play isn't weird. The community makes co-op difficult with their god complexes and toxic behaviour. Maybe people want to play this game and not some other game? There's plenty of games with Co-op activities just like there's plenty of games with Solo Activities. Games have always had a major one player theme to them. Another issue is the fact the mission is long and complex for no reason. We don't mind if it's a challenge and honestly welcome it. But when it's a whole damn raid while dealing with a complete stranger that has a high chance of being a dick? It's not fun and that why people would wanna play Solo. And before you come up with the infantile "Womp womp" or "lil bro" responses that really show your lack of intellectual abilities, I recommend you be more empathic to those who may not have the same opportunities as you.

This mission has almost every thing I hate about various Destiny 2 activities in it alone lmfao (Edit) -Too long -Forced co-op (I prefer co-op when it makes things easier/efficient, and not it being the only way) -Build locks of any kind -repeating the same exact mechanic in an encounter multiple times -traversal/jumping puzzles, especially ones with obstacles that keep trying to push you off. -Tormentor -Got reminded that the mission has a timer too 😂

Along with that, when he mentions he unlocks the quest to re-run it, he hovers over the quest and it says 2 players. Not 1-2, not 1-3, specifically 2. So, first of all, your friend does not have to be at light cap, the person that has more power will help to the other person to improve their power light. Second, this is a traditional thing for bungie, to hide steps in a quest in order to be or a "surprise" or not be "too easy", if this is new for you, dont play it. Third, when you finish the quest you can farm these exotics on pale heart chests on destination, you're welcome.

Most of the endgame content needs you to build a fireteam, wich requires you to gou out of your way to find friends to play. This is not new, as raids are always like this. Honestly and im not trying to be toxic, but if you really want a solo experience Destiny is not for you, not only TFS but in general. Also saying "people payed 100$" is pretty dumb. You payed fot a lot of things: Amazing campaign, a lot of new items, a whole new destination and a whole raid. The reason I mostly solo is because of the negative experiences of this toxic community in the first place, Hopping from clan to clan in the hopes of making destiny friends (who are not bullies or elitist) is like trying to win the lottery. Bungie leadership are themselves a toxic bunch of kids in grown ass men's bodies, why else do you think they did this? Most of them that play probably have no idea what it is like to join a bunch of nasty people, (but you try to put up with it because you want that shiny loot). In fact, the mission requires more than just a teammate with a microphone. It's "comrades in arms." Unfortunately, I don't have that anymore.

Did all of Final shape with fireteam of 3 and now someone is forced to sit out and wait for the other 2 to finish it first I knew Bungie would drop the ball somewhere everything was going to smooth

Bummer, same reason I don’t do raids, I don’t have a lot of uninterrupted time. Plus jumping sections and a timer, I’m slow and can’t jump for shit lol. And needing to talk a lot sucks. My hearing is shit and tinnitus makes it hard to make things out on headset sometimes. Getting some IEMs soon to see of they’ll help with that. Protect your ears boys, tinnitus sucks ass. Oh well, not the first exotic I won’t have.

For the first number game, figuring out which ones weren't called by exclusion is the harder way mentally to do it. Since you are looking for the overlaps, it's easier to just have one person read _all_ of their values, and have the other person pay attention to which ones are lit for them as well as the first person reads. That way there's no effort of figuring out which numbers weren't called, the person listening just needs to pay attention to which ones are _also_ lit, so it's just matching on for on.

I don't understand why they would make this so difficult when exotic class items was a selling point for the expansion.. kinda ridiculous

I wanted to earn the exotic class item but at the same time you have to jump through what feels like a mini raid level event to get them and if you get a bad role well guess what back to the drawing board. Also on the topic of farming this mission you have to worry about time otherwise I’m guessing that you get sent back to orbit if it hits zero.

Do they all have to be done in one session or can I do two,go to orbit,and then go back and do the last one

Thanks @KackisHD ! You're the best! Here are my notes on the video. DISCOVERY Needs a fireteam of 2 and only 2. Pale Heart. Overthrow: complete local events, open chests. Final overthrow boss. Kill. After loot you have ~7 minutes. Message: A secret keeper of the witch queen is near... bottom left. Search around overthrow area. Kill secret keeper. Message: A secret keeper of the witch queen is vanquished. Do the above for each area: bloming, impasse, landing. Last time has no message. Go to the refraction (via small passage from landing) Pillar of light is visible from entrance. Pillar is from inside cave. Go to cave. Progress through cave until you find a crystallized statue of savathun. Get close to statue and you will get a buff "Savathun's Envoy". Get out of cave, see objective markers appear around refraction area. Kill new mobs, clear area. Find subjugator boss. Damage to 50%. Boss will drop a ball of refracted light. Go back to cave. Plant it in light platform you will find near statue. Go back to subjugator boss, now kill it. When dead boss drops another ball, a darkness ball. Rinse and repeat, back to cave, plant darkness ball in marked area near statue. This grants access to secret "DUAL DESTINY" exotic mission. Intro: Can only launch with fireteam of 2. Every traverse / encounter is TIMED. Diff timers each. Power cap is 1995. Difficulty 4/4. Starts in same area as you were. One team member gets darkeness aligned buff, the other gets light aligned. This alignement will last for entire mission. Subclass is locked. Traverse: Each team members stands on the plate they are aligned to. This opens barrier. Progress. Kill mobs until new plates to stand on, each team member to it own. Encounter: Place rally flag. Find new plates of light and dark (light bottom, dark top) Next minutes kill a ton of low-health mobs. Mini bossess, dark or light, will spaw. Kill mni bosses for mote. Symbols will unveil for one player. The other player will collect the other mote, call which symbol the first player needs to shoot. More mobs and bosses spawn. more mini bosses spawn more motes. Each time there will be more options. Have one team member call symbol names to the other. Progress to new area. Caller - Shooter roles will be reserved mid point. Order MATTERS. Wait for caller to call out shots. Kill the mobs that are light or dark aligned. Final area with 4 mote slots. Kill minibosses, collect motes. Do this many times to reveal every single options. Shoot symbols in correct options. Encounter done. Traverse: Very long jumping puzzle area with ocassional red and yellow mobs and traps. Keep going. Die a few times no matter. 2nd encounter. Go till you again find a light plate and a dark plate. Stand each on their own as per alignment (a buff). Progress to 2nd set of dark/light plates, each on diff side. Scale to 3rd set of dark/light plates, each on opposite side as before. Move forward to 4th set of plates next to door. Stand each on theirs. This will open a door. Traverse. Very long jumping puzzle area with ocassional red and yellow mobs and traps. Keep going. Die a few times no matter. Progress up and down and forward untl flag splot. 3rd encounter. Plant flag. You'll see light / dark plates to right of flag. Stand each on their own plate. This will spawn taken shootable objects in sky. They will be aligned in clock formation, a circle with yellow radius. 3 don't have yellow line connecting to the middle. Each team member sees different thing. Kil mobs until a tormentor spawns. Use sniper, machine gun good against tormentor. Whoever gets final blow on tormentor gets "Harmonic Sundering" buff. Player with buff looks at which objects are not connected to center on clock. Number then 1 to 9 top left-bottom-top right. Some 3 objects will be off, randomly, for each player. Share with your team mate. 3 of the objects will be connected for both. Shoot them to complete the first obelisk. Repeat this another 2 times for a total of 3 for each obelisk. End of encounter will open a door at the back (looking from flag). Traverse Progress. Kill or avoid mobs until open area. Kill all until yellow bars spawn. Kill yellow bars. 4th Encounter Plates will spawn. Stand on light / dark plates (remember your alignment). Man cannon will spawn. Jump into it. Get shot to another SOLO area. Kill all mobs there. Stand on plate, spawn cannon, jump into it. Finally encounter 2 non-suspendable tormentors (!) bosses. Kill both, spawn plates. Stand on plates. Spawn cannon. Get shot. 5th encounter. Get shot towards flag. Equip gallaghorn, rocket launcher. Plant flag. Stand on light / dark plates to start. First boss spawns. "DPS the crack out of it" until it goes immune. Look around map for light or dark imbued wizard. You will only be able to damage it if it matches your alignment. Kill it. 3 symbols are revealed on top of immune boss. One player caller the other shooter. Call symbols for other to shoot them like before. This will lower immune shield. Finish the boss off. A 2nd boss appears. Repeat the above from first boss. Caller - shooter roles will be reversed. When 2nd boss gets to 33& health both 1st and 2nd boss disappear. Find correct wizard, kill it and get "Harmonic Sundering" buff. Shootable Darkness objects will spawn. Use buff to shoot darkness objects that will appear. Go to each end to see new clock with 2 stones arranged in circle around a red rectangular stone. Use clock hours for callouts. Clock will flash different combinations every few seconds. Each team member will see something different. Every several seconds a combination of flashing lights will match clock to clock. Both people shoot the nodes of the clock that are matching. Shield will get damaged by this. Matching combination will repeat each time if you do it well, but change if you mess up. You need to do this three times with mobs spawning constantly. After 3 times the shield will be down you can kill the 2 bosses with 33% health. Do it. When both bosses are dead, progress to backroom. You will see an exotic class item right here. Stand on light/dark plates. You will get message "There is no light here" and die. Don't panic. You will be respawned and have two options: peace or preapare for battle. If you choose peace, you will die again, respawn, and get your exotic class item. Items are random rolls. If you choose prepare for battle, theory (untested) is that you will fight your teammate 1 on 1, but get class item the same (or maybe not, if you lose). Congrats, you have beaten the exotic mission. Now it will be accessible from Pale Heart map directly without needing to discover it.

What me and my duo done for the first harmonic sundering encounter was just have 1 person call out which ones were not tethered, and the other person avoided shooting those object, was less brainpower needed for both of us

Im all for some challenging content but this is ridiculous. Not everyone has someone to play with, and I can guarantee you that LFG for this activity is going to toxic af. This is an L imo.

Bet I’ll never complete this…. People from lfg will probably just leave like usual…….

At the very least, they could’ve added checkpoints for the people that are trying to learn how it works not resetting us back the very beginning

It's really not I promise. The only difficult part is the last 2 puzzles but once you get the mechanic from the 2nd to last puzzle you'll understand the final one. Much easier than figuring out raid or dungeon mechanics.

A casual who's never raided, or done Grandmasters, or isn't used to a lot of endgame, difficult content, is gonna struggle w/this sh*t. Big time. Same for players who can't platform (do jumping puzzles) very well. It's punishing as it is... but it's also TIMED, on top of everything else. So no, this is gonna be an LFG nightmare.

@@ZombieBacon13I found this mission easy and ran it with my friend who’s new to the game who doesn’t have all the muscle memory endgame players have and they struggled a lot. And from seeing what other new players are saying it’s common that most of them are finding it hard. Exotic class items being one of bungies selling points for TFS and it’s locked behind a mission like this is dumb, these mechanics may seem easy for you (they are for me too) but others struggle, the way that the class items were portrayed as “for all players” clearly from feedback isn’t true and may need a change. (Maybe health wise for bosses as the mission is meant to be farmed weakly and new players can’t just bait n switch apex nuke it like we can)

The mechanics are pretty simple here up until the symbols and clock but those are trivial if that. Very reminiscent of the microcosm duo missions except easier.

This shud not have happened..bungie advertised the class items hard and one of the reasons i made sure i pre-ordered..they specifically said everyone wud be able to acciure them but no its a secret mission..it cannot be dun solo .. this is a big kick in the balls considering i paid £80 and probably wont ever be able to get my class item 😢

Yesterday I completed this mission. First I tried to get help from my friends and clan but no one came so I used lfg. My partner was good and voila! Success! In addition I got my second exotic class item as a random drop from a pale heart chest.

This is f**king exhausting. No offense to Kackis but, I feel like I need a nap after watching this video.

A new feature in this expansion is shared light cap. If you get a friend wich has a high enough light level, you will get the same level in the moment you enter the fireteam. I ddnt have the requiered lvl to do this mission but a friend of mine had it, so i just funneled in from his power lvl

I just did it with an lfg guardian the dude was super cool and we wiped once in the 3rd room then we did it. It was actually fun. But i don't think i will farm it it takes alot of time to complete
