I wish when you crush a ghost, sometimes it would scream out at you, itd make you feel a lot worse if instead of those insect like screeches they make, it was more like a “NO WAIT PLEASE”

The acolyte is unwilling because its religion views ressurection as anathema and heresy. Imagine you get to go to heaven and then you get woke up by this cheap guilty spark knock off. And so you die again, go to heaven, and then get woke up.

I'm just thinking about how in the early days of the light, there were no Guardians, only Iron Lords and Warlords. Maybe humanity's nature was truer then and the light changed us. Maybe the Hive will go through a similar transformation over time. Hoping they look more moth-like

What i love the most about the hive guardians and their ghosts is that this means we maybe can get Eliksni or Kabal light bearers one day as we are already allied withe them so i wouldn't be surprised if they get chosen at some point Also that last story about the Acolyte killing itself is odd but understandable so it doesn't wanne be a light bearer and curses the ghost for constantly bringing it back i guess it's about the rule of the sword the hive lives by which sees resurrection as dishonorable and some sort of sin to the hive relgion but the ghost is like f you ima bring you back thil you have no other choices but to agree kinda reminded me of the early days of the vagabond and his ghost

It’s an interesting question: did the Traveler truly choose to resurrect Savathun and by extension create the Lucent Hive…or did a jaded and morally bankrupt Ghost make a calculated decision to do so due to subtle Hive brainwashing and go on to convince the more emotionally damaged/unhinged/naive of his brethren to become a part of it? The more you see of Hive Ghosts, the more it becomes apparent that there’s something…wrong with the vast majority of them. Maybe they became jaded, maybe they were always that way, but one thing’s for sure…Immaru’s overt declaration for the Hive was the trigger they needed to take that forbidden plunge and damn themselves. But that’s just a theory, there’s still so much about the Traveler that remains a mystery. Maybe Immaru and the others only believed it was their choice, maybe the Traveler looked at Savathun and saw something broken that could be remade. Maybe it believes flawed characters can ultimately be used for good even if they may not realize it themselves.

Turns out I wasnt really paying attention to the whole sponsor thing and for a min I thought you were just using food as the background while you talked about d2 and my goldfish brain saw that and was like, yep that makes sense

So the ghosts have a choice? Why not choose a worthy Fallen or Cabal? And why when a Hive Guardian is created does it still hold alliance to the Hive? Aren't they supposed to be a clean slate? No memory?

I loved the lore book “audio book” vids cause I absolutely love the lore and know a lot about it but i have severe dyslexia so it is hard to read please keep making them!

Imagine Lightbearer Hive with a Ghost killing weapon coming into a patrol zone and when it kills you, you get kicked to orbit and lose any exp you gained since your initial landing.

Arguably the highest standards. Because their entire culture since leaving Fundament has been centered around feeding their worms. Worms that don't strictly speaking crave their host committing violence, but rather crave their host committing to their purpose and it's just most of the hive while serving the darkness have a purpose somehow related to violence. But we can see from lore books involving Savathun's previous plots to feed her worm prior to abandoning it for the Light, that the worms cannot be satisfied by cheating the system. They crave the substance of the effort, the striving, and if a way to generate metaphysical tribute is discovered that requires little effort, then the worms will simply increase their hunger. Thus we can reason that even the older Hive would have found that weapons which make it easy to kill Ghosts, arguably their greatest enemies at that time, put a bad taste in their mouths. Like literally, it wouldn't have tasted good to their worms. No meat to it. What I'm getting at here is that the worms which formerly controlled all the hive with conditions on their immortality, cannot feed off doing things "the easy way".

I can see the Fallen and Cabal getting guardians at some point. I’m not too sure about the Taken or the Scorn. Before coming across the Witness and Rhulk, the Taken were the closest thing to a darkness enemy that we had. The Scorn are basically darkness Fallen just mutated by tainted ether. (Correct me if I’m wrong.) The Vex are perplexing, though. A Vex with the light would be an interesting situation. 🤔 Those are just my thoughts tho

Witch queen should have had an alternate ending for not killing any ghosts(like warframe or dishonoured, even tho dishonoured does have effects on story). Maybe it wouldn’t change the story at all, and instead of crushing them they just abandon their guardians like alakhuls ghost. And it’s the same outcome but with the feels of having control over the story, I mean that’s what destiny is all about

I mean there are "dark" guardians, even before we got stasis. Some of the hive and their ghosts could still just disagree with aiding humanity and our new allies. It depends on you're race. If you're Human, maybe we died their during the Collapse while evacuating. If you're Awoken you either returned to Earth once the Awoken returned from the Distributary and settled the Reef, or you were born on Earth. If and Exo you were probably created on Europa and eventually arrived in the Cosmodrome, whatever race, it's a good chance you were escaping from the Fallen but got killed, you're remains waiting there near those old rusted out cars till Ghost revives you. My headcanon, simply a Human who died trying to evacuate with others when the Collapse killed us all some how. But it doesn't really matter who we used to be, for some reason we died there in the Cosmodrome and eventually revived by our GHost and soon set off on many adventures to save Humanity, whether revived during D1, or a New Light in D2. It's even been confirmed that most New Lights were revived in the Cosmodrome in both games.

You know I guess I’m an odd ball for A Titan main cuz I don’t like crushing ghost anymore. I actually feel kind of sick when I do it. Wrong even. Like I’m destroying a misguided soul without any thought of whether or not they actually felt bad about the decisions they made. I will no longer be crushing hive ghost. You want to I won’t stop you but the mark of a true guardian is the ability to show mercy we did it to Uldren we did it to Misraaks why can’t I do it for the hive lightbearer’s as well? Is not like we can’t bully the shit out of them on repeat. We have been doing it much longer and are far more creative anyway with how we use our light. I am a strategist so I think in long term situations like commander Zavala and as much as I distrust the hive we could use more allies not less. And by leaving Hive Guardians alive we could possibly get them to understand that we have practiced our own sword logic in our own history much longer than they think and have moved past that. It takes more strength to stay one’s hand than I does to slay an opponent who is already truly defeated. We need to break the Hive Guardian’s spirits’ so we can show them the true way of the Guardians.

there is a even bigger topic, some of the ghost as i understood where allready existing for the krill, befor they became the hive. what makes that into 1 more ghost type that needs to be taken into consideration. with that it also puts in question if the solar guardians, were from that point actually the first guardians, what puts this video into a diffrent perspectiv. and this is hinted threw out the witch queen content. what also leads to bigger implications on whats going on with the traveller.
