Duncanville has and they knew going into that game they probably were going to loose. But just like everyone else y'all try to compare these teams like IMG that can outside of the state and recruit talent. All the teams you mentioned can go out and find five star players from other states and bring them to their school to play. Duncanville not any other PUBLIC school under UIL jurisdiction can't do that. They play with the talent that's in the two zip code radius. Imma say that again TWO ZIP CODE RADIUS. So a school that can recruit out of state vs two zip code radius of course they would ALWAYS have the larger much needed advantage. I'm not even knocking DeSoto either. They play with neighborhood talent also. You take those same out of state schools and take away their ability to recruit they become just like any other high school. Duncanville proved that in a way this year when the team from Florida came down and got a goose egg. That school was a public school and one of the best in their division or district or whatever they call it their. YOU CANNOT COMPARE TEAMS LIKE THAT. PUBLIC VS PRIVATE it's unfair.n

That goes as far as I can remember when my cousin Cedric Benson and Midland Lee had all the teams that were ranked in the top five in the country come play like west Monroe and Hoover Alabama back in those days they would come AND GET DESTROYED. IF I REMEMBER correctly when the teams from Oklahoma like union and jenks were ranked One and three in the nation one team came and played South lake Carrol and got destroyed and the other either played DeSoto or Cedar Hill that year I think it was DeSoto and same result. When it comes to public schools nobody is touching Texas teams like duncanville, lake Travis. Austin Westlake, here just recently North Shore. But how did we get on teams from other states. We were talking about the one win DeSoto has had against Duncanville in a LONG Time. Even when I played DeSoto didn't beat us. I'm just saying for them to enjoy that moment and depending on how the district ends up if DeSoto gets in the big school bracket they might a big might have to play duncanville again. Theyll probably end up playing a school in the first round like a Denton school or McKinney and might not make it past the first round. Duncanville first round is already set biggest they automatically are in the big school bracket and have been pair with Hutto which has a loosing overall record but a winningndi

@1998rayray Way longer than that. SOC, Skyline, Carter, Kimball. Lancaster shows up every now and then. 50-60 years, actually. Michael Johnson, Robot, Ray Crockett, Byron Handspard, Tim Brown. Aldrich Bailey, Jeremey Warnier (arlington) 70s 80s and 90s were relays that still stand. Texas, DFW, Houston, and parts in between are just hot.

I will say this congratulations on a wonderful season. However, if you really think your the best come to Southern California and play Mater dei or Jon bosco or centennial or northern ca and play de la sal or any top ranked team in that state. They are the kings of the national stage and until beaten by a school from Texas they will remain the kings. There is one school outside of California that has my respect and that is bishop Gorman of Nevada. Those young men can play and they may be the best at the moment.

It won’t happen. Desoto is a lock for D2 and Duncanville is a lock for D1. That’s how they were both able to win a state championship last year.

When deion Sanders went to Coach Colorado, he said that skill players are good everywhere in college, but the big schools have that beef on the offensive and defensive line and that's the difference. As a varsity coach, I've always noticed that the larger schools just due to their numbers, have bigger players because they have more guys to choose from. You can see that DeSoto had those big boys on both lines, probably a good size school.
