Not going to lie.. I did cringe when they punched down on Bonded By Blood, though. Them, Havok, Exmortus, Lazarus AD, Warbringer, and even Hatchet were revival thrashing when these guys were in grade school! Plus, The Dawg never even listened to Bonded By Blood! Weird segment.

@@hamachancutter None of those bands made a living off of their music and they still have to work regular normal jobs. The singer from Warbringer became a teacher. The band still tours and makes music but its not a full time gig where you dont have to work a normal job. The singer/bass player from Lazurus AD I know he works a normie job and I dont think does music anymore. Havok, Im not sure about those guys but I would imagine they work jobs as well. The drummer took a 2nd gig in Fear Factory.

Schizo(90 reissue) my Seps intro and fave, but, i vividly remember Arise on release day and me and a buddy leaving Sam Goody jammin the cassette being blown away. The total feel of this is state of the art Thrash. Was before the actual legend of Morrisound and Burns work took off...Good times!

Desolus is great! Although if I got a dollar for every time a new raw aggressive thrash band says stuff “We ain’t changing” “we’re true”” we don’t bow down to trends” “we will always stay fast, heavy and thrash!”Then 2, 4, 5 albums in, they change their sound, I’d be a millionaire. Not saying there aren’t bands that stay the course, however, one minute they are bashing later Slayer, Anthrax, obviously Metallica then down the road they are adding more melody, slower tempos etc. Artists get bored, life changes them so? It affects their art. It happens. I’ve been around awhile, I’ve seen the progression of a lot of bands and that tends to be the norm for a lot thrash, death and black metal bands or? They break up an album or two into their career.

Persistence of time is the best anthrax record, and Anthrax is my favorite thrash band. I don’t understand how their darkest album pre bush, their least ‘fun’ thrash is the somehow worse that the corny speed stuff off of ‘fistful of metal’ if you don’t like the party thrash stuff.

They didnt have all the dumb ass colors for shoes back in the day!

I get them recommended to me and sometimes I'll humor them and check them out but they're either flat brim posers or posers in the other direction where they try way too hard. Or a lot of it isn't even fucking metal at all. Like that Jared Dynes child predator prick.
