This was and still is TERRIFIC..it was in 1969 and still is❤🎉
Only 62 likes. Cannot believe it. These guys are the granddaddies of Reggae music. Oh well. At least Old Timers like myself appreciate this stuff.

bad thing with oldtimers like yourself is that you suck at technology so you can't spot other videos for this song that have more than 10 million views. You are not the "special one" you thought you were.

I'm 51 and these guys are rock steady legends to GenX (the 1989 move Drugstore Cowboy also gave them a boost). I have this album on cassette (cringe). But there is no chance DD&A will be ever forgotten! ❤💚🖤

Desmond sings like a ray of sunshine
I saw them do this song in Kingston club front of a packed house with 100 people outside tryin listening in. Such power.
Don't worry Icons lives on👍
that song The Israelites reminds me of the summer of 1969 in smoggy Los Angeles.
In my mind, greatest song ever. ❤

Fantastic song❤❤❤❤
Rest in Peace to the "King of Ska" Desmond Dekker!
I completely missed that song when it came out; I was in Vietnam and they apparently didn't play it on Armed Forces radio.

It's Ska. The origin of reggae and rocksteady, but not reggae or rocksteady any more than rock and roll is blues.
Magnífico
"he is actually saying": my eyes have seen the light!
He says "EVERY MOUTH CAN BE FED" Seems like they are some purposely starving people. Especially in 🇮🇱❤🎉

As a Canadian I know what it is to have horrible neighbours. One day soon Israel will be free of theirs. Hopefully all this carnage will lead all parties to figure out a final solution to the problem. Long Live The Israelites!!!!!!!!!
