Desireless - Voyage Voyage [Instr. Cover] - UPDATED MIX

This is yet another updated mix of my instrumental cover of Desireless' 1986 hit single 'Voyage Voyage', which also appeared on her 1989 album 'François'. The song was written by Dominique Dubois (music) and Jean-Michel Rivat (music and lyrics). My version was performed on Roland Jupiter-X, Korg Kronos and Waldorf PPG 3.V synthesizers with LinnDrum samples. The guitar used in the solo was a Fender HSS Stratocaster.
I have re-recorded the Simmons tom sample and all the backing vocals, added high whammy bar guitar lines to the pre-choruses, changed the chorus, flanger and reverb effects from stock plugins to Arturia ones and remixed the track in Studio One Professional 6.5.
The first version of this cover was sequenced and recorded in Presonus' Studio One Artist DAW through an old StudioLive 24.4.2 Classic console and this updated version was remixed through a Presonus Studio 1810c audio interface and Presonus Eris 3.5 speakers, using a Presonus Faderport 16 controller.

More fantastic work! Thanks and well done! 👍👍👍 (I own a Jupiter X and Korg Kronos and I love to hear them in action -- awesome machines)

They're a fantastic combination. I only really use a fraction of what they are capable of, but whatever one of them doesn't do too well, the other one shines at it. My next acquisition will be Behringer's Wave (PPG clone), when it finally comes out. I have the amazing Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V plugin but its tiny, no -scaleable GUI is pretty shite.

@@gcoudert I hope your next acquisition works out and I can't wait to hear it! I'm very tempted by the new Arturia Polybrute 12 (they are calling it the modern CS80). The last thing I need is yet another synth and I'm trying to talk myself out of it, but will probably lose the battle 😆
