Fan of Ben for years. Your advice has helped steer me through a transition into a high income career. I became obsessed with the idea of saving as much money as possible, prioritizing financial goals and an abstract desire to retire early without any real idea of why. This podcast is exactly what I need at this point in my life and I'm grateful for the research and work that you guys put into this. I'll be a recurrent listener. Thanks boys.
This podcast/video series is fantastic. Reading about this stuff can help. Having two experts lecture about it really helps.

What a great start !!
Mark and Ben, thank you so much. Amazingly high quality information. I'm recommending your podcast to so many friends.
I enjoyed this discussion, there is so much information on maximizing returns, optimizing tax situations and maintaining wealth which are all important, but they are tied to our long term objectives and you drew a straight line to happiness and well being. There is reason to all this madness we partake in, and sometimes its good to take a step back and make sure we are still on the right path.
Great mention of Kahneman's book Thinking Fast and Slow...I also recommend Cal Newport's Deep Work which also talks about Flow state. In medicine, we face a lot of distractions especially in a busy family medicine clinic or ER - frequent sympathetic system activation leads to burnout. I started to balance my schedule with more research & teaching which allows me to be fully immersed when giving a lecture or editing a research paper.

That's another great book. Thanks, Dr. Steph! -Ben
A big thank you to you for taking the time to research and compile all this information, produce this podcast and share it with us. I consume a lot of content around personal finance and life coaching, and I genuinely think nothing comes close to your content in term of quality. Keep up the good work!
What a wonderful conversation. Looking forward to upcoming episodes!

@9:35 female viewers prob not at risk of beer belly but point taken. 😂 🍻 Dad said in his last months, ‘if there’s something you want to do then do it now.’ Most under a certain age or healthy think there’s always tomorrow. Maybe not. Only 3 things in life are for sure.

So very true. People really shouldn’t wait till retire to travel as how we travel & our experience is so different at different age. Same as other activities.
I balance bringing money from investments into our lives vs keeping it for futur growth to balance a good life
A friend just asked for a Canadian financial advisor and I recommended you, Ben. I wonder if you have a directory of professionals you endorse?

Thanks, George. I do not have a formal directory of professionals that I endorse, but I do have a strong professional network. -Ben
