Me too!!! Honestly all I need to do is get some sowing needles and thread lol
"Serving pillowcase" is just its own section of cottagecore at this point, it works and it fits with the aesthetic. I feel like the mission statement of cottagecore is also all about using what you have and upcycling when you can.
kira: *thinks up a magical, acid trip pinafore with a loose vibe and color scheme while sitting in a tree* kira in the voice of kronk : oh yeah, it's all coming together
as a seamstress I am loving the amount of cosplayers who have started branching out into clothing design. you guys are bringing D*R*A*M*A and W*H*I*M*S*Y to the sewing community and I love it
I love your willingness to just… go for it. No thoughts, only aesthetics
Hope this doesn't come off as weird but whenever I watch your videos I am hit with a massive "I want friends like this to be weird with IRL" feelings. I want people to hang with and make funky stuff with!!! Your vids inspire me and I love the vibes!

let me tell u, having friends where u can just sit and craft stuff like this is genuinely the best. however, it is extremely unfortunate when u move 1000 miles away for college😭

yeah no i get the feeling
Don’t worry patterning is like almost no one’s favourite part and no one is really good at it. I would know and I freaking study fashion design
Absolutely love your chaotic crafting skills, who needs “proper technique” when you can just wing it and find your own way 🥰 that’s how I go through life.
We're not here for just fantastical, niche designs--we're here for everything you make! Do what you want, we'll support you.
I can already tell I’m going to absolutely love this video it’s calming but also chaotic
NO IDEA WHAT A PINAFORE IS BUT I BET ITS AWESOME AND IM EXCITED TO WATCH UR NEW VID
As a person who is also going through their cottagecore obsession I appreciate your contribution to it
I love this character design series!! You’ve inspired me to get into historical fashion

historical fiction is like the only genre of books+movies that my 3 brain cells can understand, lol
This episode is ✨unreal✨. You're not only making beautiful pieces of clothing and give mi more motivation than anything today. After all that you're eating my national food while watching one of my fav series. The amount of good feelings I feel seeing this should be illegal. I'll explode
The red patchwork one is so cool, though staying closer to the width in the sketch would probably have helped like you said. I didn't get pillowcase at all from the other one (which I also love), probably because I don't see patterns like that for furnishings much anymore
I’m rlly impressed by you sewing your own pinafores lol. The only time I’ve ever sewn something was for a cosplay to go to comic con in and I had to hand sew it because , sadly, my sewing machine decided it hated me. The only thing that got me through the countless numbers of accidental finger cuts was I had just discovered a groovy new band and hence was listening to all of their sings to death.
As a Pole I must say- i'm super glad that you like pierogi as much as we :D and as for the garments- I love them! I feel like the red one isn't really my style, but it suits you perfectly as well as the flower one :D also you and Rachel make me wanna buy a sewing machine so badly it hurts
Was actually looking for a pattern idea for this fabric I bought years ago, and the pinafore dress might be the perfect thing so thank you for the inspiration! The executive producer is precious, as always.
Can't help myself anymore. I'm getting a pair of round colored glasses for this summer
It warms my desiccated heart to know there is another person out there who will struggle to the bitter end using literal trash instead of just buying the damn tool you need 🖤
I have to say I ADORE your thumbnails, they're so pretty, every time
ahhh love the increase of sewing content! It makes it feel like I have a friend while i work on my sewing projects
as someone who drafts patterns fairly regularly, your pattern drafting technique is fine. you did great. especially given the limited fabric you had.
imagine just walking through the forest and you see: 0:12 Kira has become one with the trees
I loveeee how they turned out! Just one question: how do you keep the Executive Producer's hairs out of your sewing finished projects?

In my experience (four cats + entire family crafts) the only way to keep cat hairs from sticking to everything is to have a dedicated decontamination room that the cats never go into and your crafts never leave. Realistically tho if you have cats you’re already used to cat hair being on everything you own anyway so it’s not a big deal
Yessss! The cottagecore fantasy continues!
Very cute. Love your editing and the executive producer is adorable.
My kitty guy gets really needy and clingy like that when he's starting to feel a little under the weather and anxious!
These look great! Obviously there are the things you mentioned, but these look great. I discovered you a little while ago and realized I am truly fantasy design trash. Say hello to the producer for me.
Clothes and fashion are things I know so little about and haven't spent time digging into or watching before, so please take it as the biggest compliment when I say that watching you design are create pieces and outfits is fascinating and very entertaining. I'm sure that your immaculate chaos magpie vibes and editing help, but this is just fun, relaxing content and I hope you're having as much fun making it as we are watching it! ❤️
I literally stumbled in here today. I'm so hooked! Your content is perfect. I bought a sewing machine(a good one) at a tag sale for 10$. Thanks to you Rachel and jenna phipps! I'm obsessed Dont stop. Show more sewing videos
THE FASION! THE COLORS! THE STYLE! AMAZING I LOVE THEM BOTH! Also thanks to you I'm obsessing over clothes design so thanks for that!
THE GREEN ONE 😭😭😭😭😭😭 WHY IS IT A DREAM WISHLIST ITEM ITS SO CUTE
I freaking *love* the green and pink one. I need one in like...mid-calf length plus about four gores and a couple of petticoats for maximum swooshage, please. XDDD Excellent outcomes all around~!
Great job! My kitty tells me when it's bed time and harps on me when I go past it.
I literally just discovered you and was binge watching your videos!!! You are awesome!!!^-^💚💙💜🌹
I love cottage core I want to wear these dresses 😭
THESE CLOTHES ARE MAD CUTE MAN
Girl you making me want to try my hand at sewing 😭😩👌🏿🤌🏿 this was so aesthetics 👌🏿🤌🏿
OMFG YESSSS PINAFORESSSS
I love these types of videos! You are such an inspiration. Also, your room looks so cool from the clips you’ve shown of it, I love the nature theme.
You're making me want to make myself a pinafore. 💖💖💖
Saw your comment on Rachel's mural video and came here to be delightfully surprised at your videos. Love the designs and your tree but made me subscribe.
I absolutely ADORE the red one its SOO cool with the yellow too
This is just a suggestion since you were bemoaning your patterning skills, but I highly recommend reading Bertha Banner's "Household Sewing and Home Dressmaking" which is the pinnacle of primers in Victorian-era sewing, IMO. XD I actually ended up getting two copies so my mom and I wouldn't have to fight over it~. The Keystone Guide is also extremely helpful, and it's archived online if you feel like looking it up~
I LOVE THE FLORAL ONE! The red one is nice too but I love floral dresses/tops so I'm just naturally drawn to it. I loved this video! ❤💖💗 thanks for making these beautiful articles of clothing to fuel my cottagecore addiction.
smh you are so self critical you're amazing at bonding with your subscribers I love you
this gave huge rachel maksy energy and im here for it!
Ooo, heck yeah!
You are so fantastic! I love your Artwork, clothing designs and wonderful humor. You are a joy to watch. Stay gold.
I love the Ethan Becker method of holding a knife up to your face for your mic
i am. SO in love with this jar purse. i know it's not the focal point of the video but it's just so cute 😍
I love watching you make stuff like this!
These are some my favorite types of clothing and these designs are amazing. I love this content and it is very inspiring. Overall great content!!! The aesthetics are awesome and the humor is golden
I'm so jelly of the size of your thrift shop! My local one is pretty small
YES ofmd is amazing
i finally learned how to sew and made a dress similar to your mushroom skirt. I also made a hat out of fabric and carboard. I really like your sewing videos and i am exited to see more!
Your video's always make me smile, stay weird, stay awesome!
Despite the issues with the amount of fabric and the width you cut it at, I absolutely love how the red one turned out!! You’re so talented
1:16 Obsessed with that middle long dress with tulle galore and big bow a plenty. So obsessed that I’m going to channel my inner Harriet the spy and track it or something similar (after this lovely video of course.) You are awesome btw. Totally tubular and knock the mismatched socks right off them feet.
love how they came out!
YESSS RACHEL MAKSY IS AMAZING
Love the Ethen Becker reference :)
I love finding new KZreadrs! Well new to me, BUT I’m now subscribed and hope to see more of your content
I adore these pinafore's they're absolutely too cute to be honest! I like the floral pinafore the most because of the shape and I love the cute little patch pockets the most!
I like the asymmetry of the buttons on the top. Makes it a little funky. :) also just subscribed.
rewatching all the design/sewing videos I didn't have the attention span for before... great inspiration for the comic I'm trying to design characters for. though I have to admit... I'd rather be able to commission Kira to do it lmao please take my money
They both look so cute! And your cat looks so adorable istfg
You have such a cool fashion sense omfg ✨✨✨
Strawberry earrings!!!
I'm so happy I found this channel, thank you for the soothing chaotic content
Hello algorithm, I also watched this video again. I remember when I was doing commissions for lolita and other j fashion garments, pinafores were a big one that were sent my way. For fairy kei, I think. Party kei as well, I think. Fairy kei is like.... the super fantasy "kawaii" version of cottage core. If Hello Kitty was into cottage core, that's fairy kei. I might have to make myself a nice, pink pinafore. I'll say pinafore one more time so the algorithm knows I watched the video and counts this towards your stats so you get more recommended time. Pinafore. Oh, the sponsor came in. To add to one of my previous comments, we can add making a squarespace portfolio and updating my existing squarespace website for my princess business to the list of things I need to do this week. And also, the pinafore looks awesome. You mentioned not loving the line across the hips on the one bUuUuUuUut it looks like you meant to do that and drafted it that way from the start. It be cute to the people that didn't draft it and don't know the painful truth. Pierogis are so good... I've suddenly become lactose intolerant but I'd eat one of those potato babies anyway.
These are cute AF!!

Also dagger biting must be 100% caliby energy because my cat has done the same with my nail file.
AYYYOOO They both turned out so cute!! I especially love the flowery one, but they're both super cool
I love how both are so different and such awesome styles
Man! It's always a treat when you upload enjoy being in the tree😁😁
This video made me man up and finally buy the pattern instructions I lost so I could finish a jumpsuit I’ve been working of for 9 months
Ur living my pinafore dreams ugh 😩
Very pretty 😃
these are amaziiiing!!!
These are so cute! But now I have the need to see you make regency short stays (I’m currently making some to use as a cute crop top, pretty sacrilegious to historical clothiers, but it looks so nice).

Also, tip for fabric shears, try cutting aluminum foil with them to sharpen them. It’s not like a ton of sharpening, but it will make them less dull.
YR HAIR IS FREAKING DOPE!
I love it so much!!!
The red one is such a vibe need it in my closet now
The bit was worth it
I love these! The overall looks are super iconic, even with the little quirks you mentioned.
Btw you can sharpen scissors by cutting up bits of tin foil with your scissors
you slayed, I love your clothing making vids
EEEEk! Im so happy that you uploaded another video, just started binge watching your content yesterday, love it so much!!
Your the only art channel I love anymore, keep it up I love all the videos you make!
I get so excited when you post 🥺🥺🥺
