Your armies must be totaly unique. You MUST do a video displaying them!

@@ArtisansofVaul im slowly learning how to use Blender from your videos. I just finished painting some commercial Napoleonic STLs that I edited to represent a minor German state. I posted the results on their FB page and even got a like and comment from the original sculpter

@@clive3490 Awesome job! Have you got a link? (I'm not sure if KZread will let you post it though)
I believe the keyboard shortcut to access snapping menu is Shift + S. You can snap 3D cursor to active selection and then snap selected object to 3D cursor

8:05 One way to rotate the "inside" edge in a quad is to select the face, press Ctrl + F - Face Data - Flip Quad Tessellation. It won't look as sharp as simply adding additional geometry, but if you are going to triangulate the object at the end, it will look the same as if you had added the extra geometry. The Triangulate modifier should be set to Fixed if you are using this method, though.

Oh great tip! Very nice. I wonder if that will translate into how it appears if exported without adding in the edge. I'll have to try that to test it 👍🏻
Your workflow videos are some of my all time favorites ❤ thanks for the great video!!

I think, if it is a left hand - the pipe for ignition should go from another side, because it will be covered by the body of a mini. Thank you for your work! Great as always!

@Yamanoochi That's a fair point. It will be used one-handed so it won't be commonly towards the body but I could swap it around.
In loop select options in vanilla blender There is an option to select boundry loop when you have a loop of faces selected. I aded the option to my quick favorites

@@wadeeliason969 Good tip. I often forget about that being a base function as Machin3 Tools has it mapped to "2" so I use that as its faster.

Hey! As always, another well explained step by step tutorial. I do have one question, though. I noticed that your Boolean modifier solvers are automatically set to 'Exact' instead of 'Fast'. I found an option in the Boxcutter properties panel underneath Behavior that lets me switch which solver is used, but this selection does not save whenever I open Blender again. This issue even occurs when I save the Startup File after changing the option in Boxcutter. Do you have any idea how to save that solver option without having to select it every time I restart Blender?
@ArtisansofVaul

@cristalPL Hmm.... That's curious. I think I'd changed it and then saved it in the startup file. It's odd that doesn't seem to work for you.

i have a question, is this much of virtecies not too much to render when used inside of a game ?
@ArtisansofVaul
14 күн бұрын
@KousseilaMd I imagine it depends on the game. I design for 3D printing so it's likely the rounded objects would want to be less vertices and then using some sort of smooth shading.

@@ArtisansofVaul well you're skipping important, complicated shapes to do manually and the reason people wanna watch this video, to learn how to do those shapes, not just use an addon that does it for you. Next time include ''with addons'' in your title
