Designer Shopping at The Mall, Florence, Italy. PRICES! (Gucci, Prada, Bottega, Givenchy, Burberry)

I walk around The Mall in Florence, Italy, and show exactly how much things are here. I must warn you, this is a long video of me talking through a LOT of products from different stores. This was during the Christmas-New Year holiday.

    If you go to Prada check for their specials of the day. I bought a Saffiano travel luggage for €800 only. Gucci’s I was into scarves which is a really steal. Retail for $500 but I got it for €225 and I can get a 10% VAT refund. So cool! Been there twice and would like to go again when I go back to Rome.

    Coach is a US brand so it really depends on which brands you are looking at. It’s best to buy the brands in their countries of origin (with exceptions of course, because some brands have global standardization. For example, Chanel)

  • @EdwardInTX

    @EdwardInTX

    6 жыл бұрын

    When you buy, mention tax refund in every shop 1. They ask for your passport 2. They give you a receipt copy, tax refund form in an envelope 3. You bring your forms and goods to the airport when you depart 4. When you check in for your flight, mention you are checking in luggage and need to go to the tax free bootb 5. Upon check in, go to customs bootb with your luggage to get customs stamp. You need to present the things you bought, and they stamp your forms. Customs will do the bag tag and drop off 6. Go to global blue desk and drop off your completed forms. The stamp is the most important part to getting refunds!

    If you’re looking at Coach or MK, then of course. If you’re dropping 5k on Italian brands, this doesn’t account for the 13% tax refund that can be claimed. I know I’ve had to pay 8.5+% tax in comparison on top of the products in the US.

    @@EdwardInTX yeah bro. It's bonkers but I can definitely see where the benefit of these trips would be, such as saving all year to buy your designer clothes in conjunction with a vacation, with much money saved whether you were Rich or not! Other than that scenario I agree with you people are down right Addicted. That Western consumerism has consumed the entire world! Its fine supporting these designer brands they make the best quality clothing, but It would be nice if those designer brands would support locals, but sadly its just a giant waste of money In* there eyes ain't it? I'm done yelling lol Thank you for listening.

    Greetings! Response: Wow. That's boldly snobbish. I am a client of luxury retailers, as well as a fashion insider. There is no discriminating if a client wants to make a purchase, and has the ability to. I know luxury brand vloggers on KZread who started their luxury collections small and come from all walks of life including teachers, etc., (People who work hard to earn their luxury items) and are now authorities on the different luxury brands. Most often, clients come to know more than luxury brand competitors and their assortments. Be a gentleman, will you (Not a question). Thank you, sir.

    mrvg style my point being I was at this luxury mall a couple days ago and then went to the Versace stores in Rome and Venice and maybe I am Snobbish so be it. But people who buy and flaunt their luxury goods are also snobbish. And especially those who buy just because it’s the Trend. these people will move on to the next trend so fast it doesn’t matter if they ‘know’ the brand or not. It’s not about fashion or personal style it’s about looking like everyone else at the moment and sorry I hate that. I’ve been a loyal Armani and Versace customer for 40 years and I understand the brand and the brand lifestyle. it’s not just wearing it for “the moment”. I’m a snobbish loyal fashionista. Not someone who doesn’t know or care to know what I’m buying. That was my point I guess. Take it as you want. Just a comment. Not a judgement. if they went in the Versace star and called it versashey like most did before that crime story series you’d laugh and scoff at them too

    @TD Moore, Firstly, it’s called commerce. Secondly, it’s a supply and demand issue. Thirdly, it involves customer service. Not everyone buys and flaunts their luxury goods. There’s purpose in them. What is the purpose of a bag, a belt, or a tie? People have different ideas as to what is considered a luxury to them based on what socio-economic background or demographic they are a part of. As a former professional luxury goods buyer, I will tell you that the fashion industry relies on trends for trend forecasting reasons. High end fashion houses need new ideas to keep themselves up to date to attract new consumers. Even with the legendary designer brands, there are fashion designers who do their best to be consistent with the vision of the original designer but, they differ here and there based on the times. I am sure if you were to look in your closet, you will find that, what was in fashion 30-40 years ago, is no longer in fashion today. If you beg to differ and wore them, then you would find yourself in the category of some older men trapped in a time warp looking ridiculous. Finally, a consumer has to be initially introduced to a brand to get to know it. I’m sure at one time you didn’t know much about Armani or Versace, except for that you’ve heard of it, and when you had the means to, started patronizing the brands. Everyone starts out that way. So with that said, I would not “laugh and scoff” at someone. If you were truly loyal to the brands, you, as a loyal consumer could be good enough to recommend and educate a new consumer so that the brands continue to thrive. I have done this and seen people, including celebrities and socialites help potential new consumers pick out their new designer goods in the boutiques and other retailers. Armani and Versace are known for the gentlemanly image you see in magazines. It would be nice if you could live up to your brands. Thank you for your time and attention, sir.
